This document contains the following sections: Implementation Impact and Actions-Describes expected impact on current production systems and actions necessary to initiate the implementation of these features. New Features and Enhancements Describes new features in this release, as well as, additional important enhancements that have been made to the system. Resolved Issues Defines a Resolved Issue and explains the problem, solution, and affected version. Compatibility Matrices Includes information on the upgrade path and which Blackboard Software are supported with this release. Appendices-Contains supplemental information for clients relevant to the Product Feature Summary Implementation Impact and Actions Production System Impact The expected downtime for the video surveillance system is approximately one hour. Implementation Actions To take advantage of the features and fixes provided in 4.3.0.28 at no cost, please create a case on Behind the Blackboard and specify a date and time that would be convenient to complete the update.. 1
New Features and Enhancements There are no new features in this patch Enhancements to Existing Video Surveillance 4.2 Functionality Lane Viewer Window Displays a cardholder s picture for Valid and/or Invalid accesses from a Blackboard Door Access reader. Displays the live view from the camera mapped to the Door Access reader below/above the cardholder picture (live view can be configured to not display). The Lane Viewer window can be configured to display one (1) to ten (10) door/camera pairings. Multiple Lane View Windows can be open at one time. Door/camera pairings are defined in a separate Access Configuration window. Details can be found in the Blackboard Video Surveillance Lane Viewer Setup and User's Guide. Lane Viewer can be used in addition to the Access View window. o Access View windows adds the facility map option allowing door/camera pairings to be placed on a facility map. o Access View window only displays the last Valid access when the window is opened, it does not continue to display Valid accesses, only Invalid accesses. o Lane Viewer will display Valid accesses each time a Valid access occurs at the Door Access reader. o Lane Viewer will display Invalid accesses each time an Invalid access occurs at the Door Access reader (if configured). A user can monitor the door/camera pairing by opening the Lane Viewer window. A Lane Viewer window displays: 2
Valid Accesses: o Door Access reader name. o Cardholder picture. o Cardholder name. o Date and time of Valid access. o Camera name (Camera mapped to the door access reader). o Live view from the camera. 3
Invalid Accesses: o Door Access reader name. o Cardholder picture. o Name Field displays Invalid Card and the cardholder s name. o Date and time of Invalid access. o Invalid error message (highlighted in red). o Camera name (Camera mapped to the door access reader). o Live view from the camera. Invalid accesses include Alarms and Invalid Card errors. 4
The Alarm types reported on are: o Held Open Door is held open longer then the time defined. o Forced Open Door is forced open when in a locked or controlled state. o Tampered MC/DC circuit boards - Door has been opened. o dc_comm_lost Door Controller(s) have lost communication with the master controller. o tb_1_aux_cs_tamper Proximity reader 1 tamper indicator. o tb_2_aux_cs_tamper Proximity reader 2 tamper indicator. o serial_1_cs_comm_lost Bb Card slot 1 has lost communication with the door controller. o serial_2_cs_comm_lost Bb Card slot 2 has lost communication with the door controller. o dc_ac_power_fail This is a pass through signal, present if an external power supply/battery backup provides it; and indicates AC Input power is not present (Failed). o dc_battery_low This is a pass through signal, present if an external power supply/battery backup provides it; and indicates the backup battery is low. The Invalid Card errors reported on that display the cardholder photo are: o Access Denied o Card Number Retired o Customer is not set to Active o Customer Outside Active Start/End Dates o Invalid PIN o Lost Card o Permission Day Schedule Not Found The Invalid card errors reported on that do not display a cardholder photo are: o Customer Not Found o No Offline Database o Offline Card Not Found 5
