Introduction to the Value Assignment Web Value assignment is the process of assigning a target value and/or range for a specific analyte. The target value and/or range is established based on the method, and/or by a manufacturer s reagent/kits, and/or instrument. Each lot number of assayed control material must be value assigned (assayed) as the final step in the manufacturing process. The variety and quality of assays produced for Bio-Rad control products are distinguishing characteristics that have earned us an outstanding reputation in the marketplace. The Value Assignment Web provides a secure and automated system to submit value assignment data over the Internet. Benefits of the Value Assignment Web Ensures all data is evaluated against uniform standards and increases the efficiency of the analysis process by highlighting suspicious data. Reduces the opportunity for errors and ensures value assignment data is acquired as soon as possible. Ensures data is immediately available after submission, thereby reducing the time and costs traditionally associated with collecting and evaluating value assignment data. About This Document This document is intended for the laboratory personnel entering value assignment data on the Bio-Rad Value Assignment Web. Reference Guide for the Value Assignment Web 1
