AT&T CVM-UM cmbines landline vicemail, Wireless frm AT&T vicemail, fax and email int a single mailbx, making all f yur messages easily accessible frm a persnal cmputer 1, a tuch-tne telephne r a wireless handset. Plus, nt nly can yu listen t yur vice messages using a telephne, yu can als listen as yur email and fax header infrmatin are read t yu, thanks t built-in text-t-speech technlgy. AT&T CVM-UM incrprates the latest cnvergent architecture and technlgy t save yu time and mney, n matter where yu are r hw yu cmmunicate. Here are just a few f the features that put yu in cntrl: Manage and listen t vice mail messages frm a cmputer with Internet access. Receive fax messages and frward them via email r print them ut using yur cmputer. Read email anywhere, anytime ver the Internet frm a cmputer. Hear yur email, vice messages and fax headers ver the telephne. Reset yur wn passwrd using an Authenticatin Cde established via the telephne r web. Actins Required: Yu will NOW be required t dial 9 plus an access number. If yur access number is lcal t yur area cde, then yu wuld dial 9+ the 7-digit access number. If nt, yu wuld dial 9+1+ the 10-digit access number, same as a tll free number. Yu will need t reprgram any key n yur phne that speed dials yur vice mail access number. Let s get started by lgging int yur AT&T CVM-UM accunt! Setting Up Yur Mailbx Yu are required t use yur primary/main line the first time yu access yur vicemail fr initial setup. The new CVM-UM allws a different greeting fr each line that may be assciated with yur vicemail accunt. Setting it up frm yur primary line will allw yu set a greeting fr each line. 1. Dial a temprary Access Number (866-750-0695). After the cnversin t CVM-UM, yur Access Number can be fund at : http://cts.sbc.cm/cvm/cvm_accessnum.cfm. 2. Enter the Temprary PIN (858886) and Press #. Nte: If yu are nt calling frm yur ffice phne, yu will be prmpted t enter yur mailbx number (ffice telephne number) first befre the Temprary PIN. 3. Enter a new PIN and Press #. Yu will be prmpted t re-enter the new PIN fr cnfirmatin. Yur new PIN must be between 6-10 digits in length. If yu make a mistake, Press # and start again. 4. Establish yur Authenticatin Cde. This cde will allw yu t reset yur PIN in the event yu frget it. During the set up wizard yu may: Page 2 f 7

Press 1 fr Authenticatin Cde set. Set up at this time is recmmended by crprate security. T use yur mther s date f birth Press 1. T use yur father s date f birth Press 2. T use yur spuse s date f birth Press 3. T use yur child s date f birth Press 4. Depending n which ptin yu chse, yu will be prmpted t enter it as 8 digits; fr example, July 10, 1950 wuld be 07101950. Next yu will be prmpted t re-enter and if bth 8 digit selectins have been typed the same, yu will be tld yur authenticatin cde has been saved. Nte: T use this ptin later t reset yur passwrd, yu must be calling frm a line assciated with yur CVM-UM vicemail such as yur primary ffice line, r a secndary line (i.e., a crprate wireless number r a 2nd ffice number. 5. Recrd yur Name Annuncement. After the tne, recrd yur first and last name and Press #; Fr Example: Je Andrews. Then yu may chse frm ne f the fllwing prmpts: Press 1 t keep this recrding. Press 2 t re-recrd. Press 3 t exit withut changing the recrding. Press 8 if yu need mre time. 6. Recrd yur Persnal Greeting. After the tne, recrd yur persnal greeting and Press #; Fr Example: Hell, this is Je Andrews. I am either n the phne r away frm my desk. Please leave a message after the tne and I will return yur call as sn as pssible. Then yu may chse frm ne f the fllwing prmpts: Press 1 t keep this recrding. Press 2 t re-recrd. Press 3 t exit withut changing the recrding. Press 8 if yu need mre time. HELPFUL HINTS: Press *t return t the Main Menu. Press *0 fr Help. Lgging int Yur Web Accunt fr the First Time Befre yu begin t set up yur web accunt, please verify that yu are able t access this URL: http://cvm.web.att.cm. Page 3 f 7

If yu experience truble with the URL send an email t ATTCVMCARE@att.cm t get assistance. When the prblem is crrected, yu may prceed with the instructins t set up yur web accunt. CVM-UM can be set t autmatically frward all vice messages received t any e-mail address yu select. Such vice messages are frwarded in "WAV" file frmat. Hwever, engaging the CVM-UM platfrm t autmatically frward vice messages utside f AT&T's internal netwrk is a vilatin f Cmpany plicy includeing specifically the ASPR High Level Plicy & Requirements and Infrmatin Classificatin and Prtectin Standard, RIM Plicies #5 Electrnic Cmmunicatin and #5A E-Mail Standard, and AT&T's Cde f Business Cnduct. 1. Open yur web brwser. 2. Enter the CVM-UM URL Address (http://cvm.web.att.cm). 3. Enter yur ATTUID and AT&T Glbal Lgn passwrd. 4. Cmplete the Set Up Wizard Prcess. When yu first lg in t yur accunt n the cmputer, the setup wizard will take yu thrugh step by step setting up yur accunt infrmatin. Yu can access the wizard and its setup feature at any time by ging t the Help Center and clicking n the Setup Wizard link. The setup wizard cvers the fllwing tpics: System Requirements Cmpatibility Test Main Mailbx Settings Telephne Settings Lgin Telephne Settings Urgent Messages Telephne Settings Autplay Telephne Settings Message Details Make Recrdings via the Web r n the Phne This is a series f pages that will walk yu thrugh recrding yur name annuncement and persnal greeting. Yu will need a micrphne attached t yur cmputer t recrd the greetings. If yu d nt have a micrphne attached t yur cmputer r yu wuld prefer nt t recrd yur greetings ver the cmputer r at this time, yu may select t skip this step. Yu can recrd yur greetings when yu access yur mailbx frm the telephne fr the first time. Establish an Authenticatin Cde. This is a feature that allws yu t lg in t any cmputer and use yur Authenticatin Cde (8-digit numeric) t reset yur passwrd shuld yu frget it. Accessing Yur Mailbx Once yu have set up yur mailbx, yu can access it by chsing ne f the ptins belw: OPTION A: Accessing Yur Mailbx frm yur ffice phne: 1. Dial yur Access Number, which can be fund at http://cts.sbc.cm/cvm/cvm_accessnum.cfm. 2. Fllw the prmpts. OPTION B: Accessing Yur Mailbx frm any ther Tuch-Tne phne: Page 4 f 7

1. Dial yur Access Number, which can be fund at http://cts.sbc.cm/cvm/cvm_accessnum.cfm. 2. Enter yur mailbx number (yur area cde and ffice number) and Press #. 3. Enter yur PIN and Press #. Checking Messages Frm the Main Menu, press 1 t listen t yur messages. Then the fllwing ptins are available t yu while listening t each message: Press 1 t rewind - Rewinds the current message. Press 2 t pause - Pauses the current message. Press 3 t fast frward - Fast Frward within the current message. Press 4 t slw dwn - Slws dwn the current message. After the message is played, use this ptin t replay the cmplete message. Press 5 t header - Prvides details f the caller and call time Press 6 t speed up - Speeds up the current message. After the messages is played, use this ptin t frward the message Press 7 t delete - Deletes the current message Press 8t reply - Reply ptins fr current message Press 9 t save - Saves the current message. Press 0 fr mre ptins. Press # t skip - Skips ahead t the next message. Attendant Transfer Attendant Transfer is an "utdial" feature that will transfer callers t a specified 10-digit telephne if they shuld decide t Press 0 while yur greeting is playing. Once yu have set up yur mailbx r are in yur mailbx, yu can set up yur Attendant Transfer. HOW TO SET UP ATTENDANT TRANSFER 1. Access yur mailbx. 2. Press 4 fr Mailbx Settings 3. Press 2 fr Administrative Optins. 4. Press 6 fr Additinal Settings. 5. Press 2 fr Attendant number and fllw the instructins. Yu will be prmpted t enter the transfer number. 6. Change Yur Persnal Greeting If yu set up the Call Transfer t Attendant ptin, yu shuld include the ptin fr callers t Press 0 as part f yur greeting. Fr example: Hell, this is Larry. I am either away frm my desk r n the phne. If yu need t reach smene immediately, Press 0 t be cnnected t my assistant. If the caller presses 0, they will hear, Please hld while I transfer yur call. Changing Yur Greetings r Name Annuncement It s easy t change yur greeting! This can be dne frm any tuch-tne phne. Yu can recrd new greetings, switch amng yur persnal greeting, the Page 5 f 7

Extended-Absence Greeting and the Pre-recrded Greetings. Yu can als recrd a new mailbx name annuncement. Yur name annuncement is what ther subscribers will hear when they send yu a message frm their mailbx r when the Pre-recrded Greeting is used. T change yur greeting r activate a greeting: 1. Access yur mailbx. 2. Frm the Main Menu, Press 4 fr Mailbx Settings 3. Press 3 fr Greetings. 4. Chse the greeting yu want t change. 5. Press 2 t re-recrd the greeting. If the greeting desn t exist, Press 1 t recrd it. 6. Recrd the greeting after the tne and Press # when yu re finished. Checking Messages via the Web CVM-UM users have the ability t manage their mailbx via the web. This gives users the ability t listen t vicemail, receive, review, send emails and review faxes. Nte: Befre prceeding with this sectin, make sure yu have cmpleted the steps shwn in the Lgging int Yur Web Accunt fr the First Time sectin. Imprtant Reminder: Cmputers must have a sund card, speakers, headset, r micrphne in rder t listen t and/r recrd messages via the Web. 1. Open yur web brwser. 2. Enter the CVM-UM URL Address (http://cvm.web.att.cm). 3. Enter yur ATTTUID and AT&T Glbal Lgn passwrd. Yu are nw at yur CVM-UM Inbx which cntains all f yur messages. AT&T Vicemail Viewer Smartphne apps prvide a simplified vice message view frm iphne r RIM BlackBerry. There is n need t lg in t yur accunt at http://cvm.web.att.cm in rder t view yur messages. Instead, yu will receive ntificatin and access frm yur smartphne. Fr thse with COU smartphnes, mre infrmatin can be fund at http://newcu.edc.cingular.net. Or fr thse with persnal smartphnes, yu can fllw the instructins at www.att.cm/vmviewer. Page 6 f 7

Setting up Pager Ntificatin 1. Open yur web brwser and lgin at http://cvm.web.att.cm 2. Click n Settings in the tp-right hand side. 3. Click n the Pager Ntificatin Settings link, lcated n the right-hand side under Ntificatin Settings. 4. Fllw the steps n the screen. See the sample screen and instructins belw fr mre infrmatin. 1. Turn n the pager ptin by selecting the Yes radi buttn. 2A. Select the Email Address r Telephne Number radi buttn fr yur pager. NOTE: Yu can use the email ptin with yur wireless number. Fr wireless with AT&T, yur email address is yur 10-digit wireless number@txt.att.net (EX: 1112223333@txt.att.net). Select Alphanumeric fr wireless and yu will receive a text ntifying yu when a message is received in yur CVM-UM mailbx. 2B. Fr numeric pagers, fllw steps 1-4 under Paging Setup fr yur individual pager cnfiguratin. 3. Select what message types (vicemails and/r faxes) yu wuld like t be ntified f n yur pager. Select the apprpriate radi buttns. 4. Send yurself a test page t make sure yur cnfiguratin settings are crrect by clicking Test These Settings. 5.
