How will this migration e ect my district? Downtime during the move Moving an average size district (10 30 campuses) to our hosted servers typically takes anywhere from 6 12 hours. Larger and heavy use districts can take considerably longer. Your Eduphoria software will be inaccessible to users during the migration. We can schedule the migration at night or on a weekend to minimize downtime for your district. What is different about being hosted? Impersonation becomes a right, no longer a specific account Remote Roster Tool will need to be installed on a server inside district (Aware users only) to sync roster data Depending on account management preference (see Options for Account Management ) URL for your district may change Application specific password for initial setup on ios / Android apps and Aware Plain Paper Scanning Applications Login screen will now have an orange background instead of blue Eduphoria's Hosted Environment Eduphoria does not charge any extra fees for hosting. Our technical team can move you hosted for free, there is no charge for migration. This process takes less than a day, for most districts. The hosted solution now supports Active Directory passwords. Hosted customers receive updates as soon as they are available. Scalability, redundancy, and performance exceeds self hosted solution. More than 90% of all Eduphoria customers are hosted.

Option 2: SchoolObjects Authentication Account Management When using SchoolObjects Authentication for account management users login with their email address. You have 2 options for user passwords: Set a default password for all users and require a password change at first login Have the system email every user a unique alphanumeric password and require a password change at first login Users can change their password at any time. Clicking forgot password link on the login screen will email them a temporary password. System Admins can reset passwords for any user in Management > Manage Users. Remote Roster Integration The last step in the installation process is the remote roster setup This is the process that imports your roster data from your student information system into our hosted organization for Aware If you are using a student information system that is exporting data files for this integration you will need to redirect that export to the server on which the remote roster tool is being installed. Remote Roster Integration Requirements This client must be installed on a server where it can access the data files being exported from your SIS or the local SIS database in the case of a direct to database connection. te : Remote Roster tool can be installed on the same server as the AD Authentication client Customer Action Items 1.
