Introduction As a Business Class PRI customer, Time Warner Cable Business Class provides you access to its Trunk Admin Portal free of charge so you can manage the features of your Business Class PRI service. This portal is designed to make managing your Business Class PRI features easy and convenient. It is available from any Internet connection and the changes take effect in real-time. This portal w ill allow you, as your company s administrator to: Turn on or turn off features such as Trunk Overflow or Alternate Routing Configure the Trunk Overflow or Alternate Routing features Creating an Administrator Account If you are setting up a new voice services installation for your organization, the first thing you need to do is create the administrator user account. To perform this process you w ill need the follow ing information: An active e-mail address w here you w ill receive a confirmation e-mail during the user account creation process Your company s billing ZIP code as registered w ith Time Warner Cable Business Class Your Time Warner Cable Business Class account number (This number can be found on your installation receipt, if you are a new customer or on your invoice, if you are an existing customer.) Your 4-digit customer code (This 4-digit number w as created w hen you ordered your service. It can be found on your TWCBC contract or on your invoice.) NOTE: Contact your local Time Warner Cable billing office if you cannot locate your customer code. In addition, during the process you w ill be asked to create these other pieces of information: Administrator username Administrator passw ord Tw o security questions and answ ers of your choosing The steps to create your account are as follow s. 2 Time Warner Cable Business Class Trunk Admin Portal User Guide
1. Enter the address http://myaccount.tw cbc.com into your w eb brow ser. 2. Click the Create Account link in the low er right area of this screen. 3. Enter values into the E-mail Address and ZIP Code fields. Double check that your e-mail is spelled correctly. Use the 5-digit billing ZIP code that is registered w ith your Time Warner Cable Business Class account. 4. Click the Continue button. 5. Close the brow ser w indow or tab. 6. You should receive an e-mail from TWCBC. Click the link embedded in the validation e-mail. 7. Notice that your E-mail Address, ZIP Code, and Location have been set at the top of the screen. Verify that these are correct. 8. Enter your Time Warner Cable Business Class Account Number. 9. Enter your Time Warner Cable Business Class Customer Code. NOTE: If you do not know either your account number or customer code, you have 72 hours to complete this form after the time that you clicked Continue in step 4. Please call your local Time Warner Cable billing office to obtain this information. 10. Enter a unique Username that you w ill use w henever you log in to the Trunk Admin Portal. NOTE: Your username must conform to the follow ing rules: Must be betw een 5 and 64 characters long Cannot use certain special characters Cannot contain spaces Cannot contain objectionable or prohibited w ords 11. Enter the same passw ord value in the Passw ord and Confirm Passw ord fields. NOTE: Your passw ord must conform to the follow ing rules: Must be betw een 8 and 16 characters long Must contain letters and numbers only Must start w ith a letter Must contain at least one number Cannot match your username Cannot have any character repeated four times in a row 12. Define your ow n questions and answ ers for Security Question 1 and Security Question 2. Security questions are used to verify your identity w hen resetting your passw ord or e-mailing your user ID. These questions are unique to you and should be things you can easily remember, but that are not easy for others to guess. Be sure to capitalize, punctuate, and spell your answ ers the w ay you are most likely to type them in again later. 13. Read the Terms and Conditions, then, click the I accept check box. 14. When you have completed the screen, click the Continue button. Logging into the Trunk Admin Portal Access to the Trunk Admin Portal requires secure authentication using a username and passw ord unique to each user. 1. Enter the address http://myaccount.tw cbc.com into your w eb brow ser. You w ill be presented w ith a login screen. 2. Enter your user name and passw ord into the Username and Passw ord fields. NOTE: You may also use the Forgot Username? and Forgot Passw ord? links if you are having trouble remembering your username or passw ord. 3. Click the Remember Me checkbox if you are using a private computer and w ish Voice Manager to remember your username for a future login. 4. Click the Login button. Once you have logged in, you w ill see the portal w elcome page. In the left column of this page, you w ill see your Account Summary. The Account Summary includes your account name, account number and address. In the center of the screen, you w ill see the active features on your account. Finally, on the right side, you w ill see your call history. In addition to these features, you w ill see a blue banner at the top of the page. This banner is present on all pages and w ill allow you to link to your profile, access TWCBC contact information, portal help information or log out. Alternate Routing The Alternate Routing feature enables you to reroute incoming calls w hen your primary PRI location is not reachable or cannot take calls. This feature is intended for customers w ho are experiencing business continuity issues such as pow er outages or equipment problems. Please keep the follow ing in mind w hen applying this feature: This feature is available for inbound calls only. This feature can be set to turn on or off automatically as outages are detected or manually at your discretion. Rerouting applies to a single alternate telephone number for each trunk group. One rerouting telephone number can be designated per lead telephone number. This feature does allow you to reroute calls to another carrier s line or trunk. Inbound calls w ill automatically forw ard to the alternat e destination w hen: o Service is unavailable during an outage o The site is not available due to a pow er outage o The PBX at that site is unavailable To activate this feature, simply type in the telephone number that you w ould like this feature to be activated on and then click the On button and Save. Trunk Overflow The Trunk Overflow feature provides an inbound solution w hen the primary destination trunk is out of capacity (i.e. all channels in the trunk group are busy). The feature w ill reroute the traffic designated by you, the administrator. Please keep in mind the follow ing w hen applying the Trunk Overflow feature to your lines: A destination telephone number may be inserted or changed for each Trunk Group PRI Lead Number at any time. The Trunk Admin Portal displays the feature s current status and configuration. Changes take effect immediately and the Trunk Admin Portal provides confirmation w hen the transaction is complete. To activate this feature, simply type in the telephone number that you w ould like this feature to be activated on and then click the On button and Save. Once your transaction is complete you w ill receive a confirmation message. Call History From the Trunk Admin Portal, you can also link to your call history. My Profile From any page, you can click on the My Profile link in the upper right corner of your screen. When you click on this link, a new w indow w ill open and you w ill see your account information. You may update this information by changing the current information and then clicking Save. To exit this screen, click on the Cancel link at the bottom of the page. Keep in mind that w hen you click on Cancel, you w ill lose any changes that you may have made. Help If you have any questions w hile you are using the Trunk Admin Portal, refer to the Help link in the upper right corner of the Trunk Admin Portal screen.
