1. Supprted Interface cnfiguratins 1.1. WAN interface nt used In this cnfiguratin OpenScape Business is cnnected t the netwrk via the LAN interface nly. The WAN interface is NOT used. If VPN cnnectins are necessary, these cnnectins MUST be maintained by the cnnected ruters. The VPN client in OpenScape Business is NOT used. This cnfiguratin is valid fr OSBiz-X and OSBiz-S. Cnfiguratin hints: Static rutes MUST be cnfigured t ther sites which are nt reachable via the default ruter VPN cnnectins established by OpenScape Business via LAN interface are NOT supprted The cnnectin t a Hme ffice using OpenStage HFA/ phnes (Device@Hme) is pssible: via a cnfigured VPN tunnel in the Access Ruter. via a direct cnnectin using UDP and TLS, see separate dcumentatin available under http://wiki.unify.cm/wiki/hw_t_cllectin_and_tutrials_fr_openscape_business#device.40hme 4 OpenScape Business V2 Tutrial: VIP Interfaces
1.2. WAN cnfigured as TCP/IP interface If the WAN interface is cnfigured in TCP/IP mde all VIP cnnectins t the internet MUST be dne via the WAN interface. All ther VIP devices MUST be cnnected via the LAN interface. This cnfiguratin is valid fr OSBiz-X and OSBiz-S. 1.3. WAN cnfigured as DSL interface If the WAN interface is cnfigured as DSL interface t establish the internet cnnectin all traffic twards the internet MUST use the WAN interface. All ther VIP devices MUST be cnnected via the LAN interface. This cnfiguratin is valid fr OSBiz-X nly. Cnfiguratin hints: The integrated DSL Ruter is suitable fr small installatins nly. Fr larger installatins an external Ruter MUST be used (see 1.1 and 1.2) N ITSP cnnectin pssible via LAN This cnfiguratin is nt released fr Circuit and SkypeFrBusiness cnnectins Static rutes MUST be cnfigured t ther sites which are nt reachable via the default ruter (DSL) Only ne subnet per site is supprted by the VPN Wizard. The example abve requires manual created VPN rules between Site B and C Device@Hme scenaris are nt supprted in this cnfiguratin, see separate dcumentatin available under http://wiki.unify.cm/wiki/hw_t_cllectin_and_tutrials_fr_openscape_business#device.40hme 6 OpenScape Business V2 Tutrial: VIP Interfaces
1.4. Restrictins when using LAN and WAN in parallel When the WAN interface is cnfigured, all ITSP cnnectins MUST use this interface. It is strngly recmmended t use the same interface fr ITSP cnnectins and all ther internet traffic. (either all ver LAN r all ver WAN) Nevertheless under certain circumstances a cstumer wants t have a different setup, where the system will use the WAN fr ITSP cnnectins whereas the default ruter t the internet is lcated at the LAN interface. In such a cnfiguratin several issues may prevent successful VIP calls. At least the fllwing cnfiguratin MUST be dne: Manual cnfiguratin f ruting As the default ruter is cnnected t the LAN interface, all destinatins which needs t be addressed fr ITSP calls MUST have static rutes. This MUST include all needed servers (Prxies, Registrar) as well as all pssible media endpints. Static rutes must be cnfigured with apprpriate means (e.g. WBM in OSBiz-X, Yast in OSBiz-S) This manual cnfiguratin is nt necessary if the WAN interface has an address ut f the ITSP netwrk. (ITSP perating a private VIP netwrk with r withut access device) Firewall cnfiguratin The firewall lcated between the ITSP and the WAN interface MUST be manually pened n all prts needed fr ITSP cnnectins. This MUST include all needed servers (Prxies, Registrar) as well as all pssible media endpints. STUN In this cnfiguratin STUN cannt be used t determine the public IP-Address. STUN MUST be switched ff r used with static IP address (at the WAN ruter) Due t the restrictin that ALL ITSP s MUST use the same interface, this cnfiguratin is limited t ONE ITSP nly 2. General Restrictins As the WAN interface is intended t be used as the ITSP interface it is NOT allwed t address this interface by any IP-Endpints at the WAN interface (HFA and ) any netwrked ndes If tw (r mre) ITSP s are cnfigured in the system all ITSP s MUST use the same internet cnnectin Usage f STUN can be switched n r ff individually fr each prvider, but ALL prviders MUST share the same STUN mde (e.g. autmatic, prt preserving ruter, ) and will use the same STUN server (even if different STUN servers may be cnfigured at the ITSP s). The Admin-Interface f the OCCM/OCCL cannt be used t cnnect any type f VIP endpints r trunks. The LAN2-Interface f the OCAB cannt be used t cnnect any type f VIP endpints r trunks. In Scenaris where the WAN interface is used, NAT is activated at the WAN interface. OpenScape Business VPN wizard: A Hmeffice can be cnnected via 3 rd party VPN ruter. This scenari requires cnfiguratin in Expert mde, as the VPN rules created by wizard can prbably nt be cnfigured in the 3 rd party VPN ruter. If a Telewrker is cnnected via VPN using a single PC with VPN client sftware (e.g. Shrew Sft) the cnfiguratin can be made by using the OpenScape Business VPN wizard. Only ne subnet per site is supprted by the VPN Wizard. The examples abve shwing different subnets requires manual created VPN rules between Site B and C 7 OpenScape Business V2 Tutrial: VIP Interfaces
