NOTE: Remote CLI clients earlier than version 312 will not be able to connect to the HP 3PAR OS 321 MU2 or later Modifications to the HP 3PAR OS The purpose of this patch is to address issues with Remote Copy, ODX (XCOPY Lite), dedup, array management, DNS resolution, and unexpected array restarts This release addresses the following items: Issue ID 110107 117675 121991 122458 123901 123972 124442 124528 124556 125084 125085 125106 125257 125283 125444/125302 125912 Description This applies only to Peer Persistence configurations The SYSMGR synchronization locks are released before making remote procedure calls to the quorum announcer processes If a system is already experiencing unresponsiveness, restart the SYSMGR before installing the patch Resolved an issue in WSAPI where undesirable increase in file descriptor usage is observed, if it fails to connect to the WSAPI socket on another node due to node failure Resolved configuration lock issues During high loads, the array might drop processing of token events necessary for XCOPY Lite operations The dedup garbage collector (ddcscan) is modified The master node dedup garbage collector triggers dedup garbage collector runs on other nodes even when there is 1 TB of reuse pages queued up on a node Addresses a possible data inconsistency issue during node down recovery and online upgrades Corrects XCOPY Lite synchronization Customer will not be able to see part of the capacity efficiency (vvol compaction/dedup ratio) of CPGs that host VVOLs Customer would observe much smaller CPG dedup ratio than it really is Inability to connect to manage array after upgrading to HP 3PAR OS 321 MU2 If connection timeout occurs, contact HP Service personnel to reconfigure the switch before installing the patch Resolve checkhealth issues for Remote Copy during node restart Incompatible message under race condition during online upgrade can cause an unexpected array restart NOTE: This issue is resolved only when P11 is installed by upgrading to HP 3PAR OS 321 EMU2 Resolves an issue which causes DNS resolution to fail Use a command to trigger the system to launch a task that will update the dedup statistics of any given CPG or TDVV Inability to start the Web Services API (WSAPI) process This is resolved by checking that both parts of the key pair are present and correct during the WSAPI startup Race condition during node down recovery can cause an unexpected array restart Resolves an issue in DDS space recycle handler that could cause unresponsive system when another thread holds the write lock Modifications to the HP 3PAR OS 5
