1. Wireless Local Area Network 1) Windows 7 Step 1. Click on the Network shortcut icon on the taskbar located on the bottom right corner. Step 2. Select Yonsei_info. Step 3. Run Internet Explorer when the connection is complete. 3

If you do not see the image above on Internet Explorer, enter the web address http://1.233.254.36 (for dormitory network) or http://1.233.207.12 (for the all-campus network). Step 5. Once you see the above image, select Agent, then download and install (refer to the Manual on the left side of Agent for installation instructions.) 4

Please Note: On the AnyClick connection information window, the proper IP addresses for the dormitory and campus are as follows: 172.21.X.X and 172.20.X.X respectively. 6

(For non-faculty and non-students, enter the alphabet of your user ID in all capital letters!) Step 3. After logging in, the ID/PW will automatically disappear. Click on connection information. 16

After clicking on the network icon on the top right corner, select Yonsei. Step 4. Enter username and password (synced with your Yonsei Portal account) 18

After entering your ID/PW, click Trust option on the Authentication page that will pop up. If this window does not appear, retry after relocating to a more secure wireless connection area. 19
1. Wireless Local Area Network 1 3) Android Series - There might be some discrepancy depending on your type of mobile. Step 1. Access Settings and click on Wireless & Network. Step 2. On the Wi-Fi settings menu, click on Yonsei for several seconds to be navigated to Advanced Settings Step 3. Encoding and authentication will be executed through PEAP/GTC method, and your account information will be the same as your Yonsei Portal information. Please note: Use after updating your mobile firmware to the most recent version. 20
1. Wireless Local Area Network 1 4) Other - Some models of Atheros LAN cards may not operate normally. You must update your wireless LAN card driver to the most recent version. You must manually update instead of relying on the automatic update. The Atheros models HB92/HB97 must have a driver version of 8.0.0.320 or above. Atheros HB95 must have a driver version of 7.7.0.358 or above. 21

(Finish) Precautions: Of the different ports on the LAN port, the internet port is on the bottom. You must physically connect the UTP cable (LAN cable) to the PC (not the port on top of your desk) If you choose to use a hub, you need 2 LAN cables for one PC and 3 LAN cables for 2 PC s. Use of personal wired or wireless routers is prohibited!!! 25

Click on the Network icon on the top right corner. Step 2. Click on Open Network Settings. Step 3. After selecting on the left ethernet option, select Manual from the drop down bar on the right window. Step 4. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and router (gateway) information (can be found posted on a yellow sticker underneath your desk) Step 5. Click Advanced in order to enter DNS information. 33

Enter DNS information using the plus (+) menu. Step 9 Apply. (Finish) Step 8. Agree. Precautions: Of the different ports on the LAN port, the internet port is on the bottom. 3. Checklist for occurrence of error 1) Check indication of your Windows tray icon <wired LAN> Step 1. Check IP settings. (You must set your PC on wired network adapter) Step 2. Disconnect your LAN cable and reconnect. <wireless LAN> Step 1. IP It should not be installed. Please receive automatic IP address. Step 2. There is no internet access through Yonsei_Info. (only to be used to download Agent ) *. In Dormitory2 of YIC, the IP number of assigned room is indicated on the router. (ex. For a triple room 1.233.x.1,1.233.x.2, 1.233.x.3 the assigned IP number for a student would be 1.233.x.1) For students whose desks have a router, it is unnecessary to install a discrete wired network adapter IP. Instead, use a remaining port on the router for convenience. 35
3. Checklist for occurrence of error 2) Check physical connection Step 1. Check the LAN cable and laptop connection. Please repair and replace any unstable LAN cables and check its attachment to the port. Step 2. Please make sure cable is connected through the bottom port of the wall. (inapplicable to desk ports) Connect to bottom! 36
