1 Preface The Viper Connector Service is the server version of Viper Connector. As a service, it can be configured for multiple accounts (e.g. headquarter office and subsidiaries) and can be shared with multiple users using basic Windows functionality on a network. The installation has been tested successfully on Windows Server 2003 (32 and 64 Bit editions) and newer versions. Windows Clients using the Viper Connector Service as a shared printer are supported with versions from Windows XP SP3 and newer. Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP are not supported anymore; although it is technically possible to install and run the Connector on these OS we cannot give support for it. Support will only be granted for Windows Versions within mainstream or extended support by Microsoft. IMPORTANT: Prerequisite for the Installation is.net 3.5. In case of Printer problems with 64Bit versions of Windows Server 2003 it could be feasible to install Windows patch KB942589. 2
