Schematic visualization in WinMOD: Signal Elements I Page 3 WinMOD signal elements - online-display of signal values as graphic or numeric indication - part of the WinMOD System Software (element library) - parameterization of size, position, color and indication analog signal - as floating point value - as colored bar - as continuous pointer - with signal value binary signal - as colored LED - small or large - with signal value - as bar with color change digital signal - as integer value - as colored LED-band - small or large - with signal value - as colored bar - as continuous pointer
Schematic visualization with WinMOD: Signal Elements II Page 4 technology visualization with WinMOD signal elements digital signal e.g. integer value for material code The WinMOD System Platform includes signal elements to create a visualization of the simulated technological processes. These signal elements can be arranged in a schematic layout. With the parameterization and spatial arrangement of the signal elements technological relations can be visualized clearly. binary signal e.g. coloured LEDs for end positions analog signal - e.g. colored bar for cylinder-hub 0-100%
Schematic visualization in WinMOD: Active Images I Page 5 WinMOD actice image, -active text - condition-based display of pre-defined images or text for determined signal values - graphics can be imported as EMF, WMF or via the clipboard - parameterization of size, position and the visualizable signal values - part of the WinMOD System Software (element library) active image (binary) assignment: 0 image one, 1 image two active image (analogue) assignment: percent value image active text (digital) assignment: integer value text normal mode collection of images collection of images collection of text blocks
Schematic visualization in WinMOD: Active Images II Page 6 technology visualization with WinMOD active images signal value = 100% signal value = 0% active image (analogue) WinMOD active images allow, contrary to the signal elements, a visualization which is much closer to the simulated technological processes. These active images can also be arranged freely in a schematic layout. According to the used images also complexe technical relations can be visualized. This includes e.g. turn- and tilt movements as soon as the visualization of grab- and replace processes at the material-handling. signal value = 1 signal value = 0 active image (binary)
Schematic visualization in WinMOD: Meta File Page 7 visualization based on technological drawings - import of technical drawings, images of visualization systems or RI-schemes - WinMOD layer technology allows separation of active WinMOD elements and the meta files displays from the visualization system RI-schemes hydraulic- and circuit diagrams technical CAD-drawings

Preferences for the WinMOD 2D-/ 3D visualization Page 12 WinMOD System Platform WinMOD behavioral model WinMOD 3D visualization The WinMOD System Platform can be expanded with a 3D visualization. For this a VRML-based 3D-model of the plant is necessary. HMI PLC The visualization works with the WinMOD 3DView application, which is connected to WinMOD via a TCP/IP connection. In the 3D model translations, rotations scalings and transparencies can be controlled by WinMOD. signals for 3D movements The basis for the 3D model are design drawings or CAD-data. field bus shows 3D movements The 3D visualization does not affect the real-time behavior of the WinMOD simulation! controls 3D movements

This 2D visualization is complete continuously, so there is no need to create pre-defined object states. There is only a signal connection from the signal value in WinMOD to the 3D object necessary. The special 3D objects can be created individually or library-based.
