Dear Senior Parents, SENIOR PARENT ADS 2017-2018 Deadline: Tuesday, November 7 Parent ads have been a St. Pius X tradition for many years. They are a great way to congratulate your child for completing his or her high school years. We have a brand new process this year, and all ads will be submitted online directly from you to the yearbook publishing company. Please read the instructions below for details about how to place your order. You have two options for placing an ad: Option #1 is to design the ad yourself using the program of your choice, then upload the finished product. Option #2 is to design the ad online using the templates provided. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the yearbook adviser, Ms. Ashley Curlette (acurlette@spx.org). Sincerely, The 2017-2018 Golden Echoes Yearbook Staff OPTION #1: DESIGN & UPLOAD A COMPLETED AD 1. Go to www.yearbookforever.com. **You must access the site through a laptop or desktop computer. Mobile devices will not allow you to advance beyind the these first two steps** 2. Type in St. Pius X and select St. Pius X High School 3. Select Buy a Senior Ad 4. Choose the option Upload My Finished Ad 2
5. Select the size ad you wish to purchase and click Next 6. Click Upload Ad and find the saved file on your computer Please note the minimum size requirement (1301px x 1751px) and the file types that can be uploaded (JPG, TIF, and PNG) 7. After you have uploaded your ad and read the Terms of Use, click Next You also have the option to see a larger preview of the ad If you have uploaded the wrong file, click Clear to upload a new file 3

Type in your student s first and last name, select 12th Grade, then click Next Use the official first name that the school has on file, no nicknames If you are doing one ad for a set of twins, just choose one name to enter You do not need to type in the homeroom teacher s name 9. Before purchasing the ad, please review your order to make sure everything is accurate, then click Checkout. If you wish to purchase additional ads, click Buy Another Ad or Keep Shopping. 10. Type in your payment and billing information, then click Next. You will then be given one final opportunity to review your purchase. If no changes need to be made, click Place Order. You will also receive a confirmation email. 4
OPTION #2: DESIGN AN AD ONLINE USING TEMPLATES 1. Go to www.yearbookforever.com. 2. Type in St. Pius X and select St. Pius X High School 3. Select Buy a Senior Ad 4. Choose the option Design My Own Ad Online 5. Select the size ad you wish to purchase and click Next. Then select the ad template you d like to use and click Next. 6. After selecting your template, you can begin uploading pictures into the picture boxes and typing in text. You also have the option to add a background color to the ad. (*If you experience any problems accessing this screen, check to make sure Adobe Flash is enabled) To Upload Photos: Click on the box where you d like to place the photo, then upload the file from your computer. Please note that all files must be JPG, TIF, or PNG. Click and drag the image to move it around within the photo box. You can also replace, enlarge, reduce, and rotate images with the gray buttons above the photo. Click Save when you are finished and continue uploading photos. 5
6 To Add Text: Click on the box labeled Click to add text. After typing your message, you have the option to change the font, font size, and text justification. To change the color of your text, click on the black box on the top right to select from a variety of options. When finished, click Save. If you want to make any changes, simply click on the same text box again.
To Add a Background Color: Click on the blue link on the left just below the ad to choose from a variety of colors. Adding a background color is optional. If you d prefer for the background to be left white, you do not need to do anything and can skip this step. 7. After you have completed your ad, click the button below the template that says Done Please review your ad carefully, including proofreading text, making sure pictures are cropped appropriately, and colors and fonts show up the way you want them to. The ad will appear in the yearbook exactly as you see it in the preview. 8. You DO NOT have the option of returning to the website later and revising any mistakes. If you do notice an error after purchasing the ad, email Ms. Ashley Curlette (acurlette@spx.org) as soon as possible to see if the yearbook staff can make the correction. All payments must be made online through the yearbookforever.com website at the time of submission. St. Pius will not accept any checks or charge the ad to your FACTS account. Arrangements for splitting the cost of the ad with another person must be handled accordingly by your family. Prices for ads: Full Page: $375 1/2 Page: $230 1/4 Page: $175 1/8 Page: $120 These prices are also listed on the yearbookforever.com website. The deadline for all ads is TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7. This is a firm deadline as the yearbook staff must submit the pages to our yearbook publishing company shortly after.
