4 Verifying the Software Component Revisions Method #1 Launch DriveExecutive and read the revision number that is displayed in the startup window. Note the startup window is only momentarily displayed when DriveExecutive launches. If you could not read the revision in time, use Method #2 to view the revision.
5 Method #2 In DriveExecutive, select Help >> About DriveExecutive to display the About DriveExecutive Software window. The version number will be located under the DriveExecutive name Enhancements This section describes the enhancements provided in this revision of software: PowerFlex 755 Frame 1 Update DriveExecutive will now recognize frame 1 PowerFlex 755 drive configurations and properly prevent adding peripheral devices to ports 7 and 8. Progress Dialog Boxes for DeviceLogix Upload and Download Progress dialog boxes will now display during the upload and download of DeviceLogix programs. Previously, due to the potentially lengthy upload and download operations, it could appear that DriveExecutive was not responding. The addition of progress dialog boxes makes it clearer that the software is working.
6 Corrected Anomalies This section describes the anomalies corrected in this revision for software: DriveExecutive has Incorrect Status Information for PowerFlex 7000 Drives Anomaly: The incorrect status information was displayed in PowerFlex 7000 drives. Correction: The PowerFlex 7000-2 drive status display has been updated to match the PowerFlex 7000. An error was fixed in both drives where Alarm was displayed instead of At Speed. Parameter Help for Host Parameters Does Not Open to the Correct Parameter Topic Anomaly: When launching parameter help from the parameter grid view for host parameters, the help file does not open to the correct parameter topic. Correction: The correct parameter help topic will now display for host parameters for drives with both a parameter list and host parameters. DriveExecutive Loads Wrong Adapter Board for 1395 Drives Anomaly: For 1395 drives, DriveExecutive would only load the adapter boards that were present when the original DriveTools database file was created. When connecting to a drive with a different set of adapter boards, DriveExecutive would still display the adapter boards that were present when the original database was created. Correction: DriveExecutive now displays the adapters actually present in the device. Unable to Open *.dno Files as a Standard User Anomaly: Previously, an error occurred when loading diagram files that would not allow a *.dno file to open when a user was logged into Windows as a standard user. Correction: The diagram files loading error was corrected so that a *.dno file can be opened when logged onto Windows with standard user permissions.
7 Change Configuration Does Not Copy Host Parameter Values for Some Devices Anomaly: The Change Configuration operation was not copying host parameter values for devices with both a parameter list and host parameters. Correction: DriveExecutive has been corrected so that all parameter values are copied during the configuration change operation. Add crtdll.dll to the DriveTools Install for Windows XP Embedded Support Anomaly: DriveTools may not operate correctly when installed on Windows XP embedded operating systems missing the crtdll.dll file. Correction: The crtdll.dll file is required by DriveTools and was added to the installation since it may not natively exist on Windows XP embedded operating systems. Restrictions The following restriction applies to this revision of firmware: DriveTools SP V3.01 v5.04 DriveTools SP v3.01 v5.04 must already be installed on your PC in order for the v5.05 patch to install. If v3.01 v5.04 is not already on the PC an error message will occur stating that v3.01 v5.04 was not found.
