Carefully remove the front faceplate and circuit board from the back box to prevent damage to the electronics.. Place a screwdriver on the knockout of the back box, from the outside of the box, and remove using a hammer and screwdriver. 3. Bolt the back box to a gooseneck using the 3" x 3" hole pattern. 4. If the back box mounting holes are not used, fill the holes with a sealant to prevent water from entering the box. 5. Re-attach the front face plate and electronics to the back box. Always seal mounting holes to prev ent water from entering the box. Grounding the System It is important to properly ground the system during installation. An improper ground or static electricity may damage the system and will void the warranty. To properly ground the system: Troubleshooting Tips Symptom Solution Keypad is 1. Check power. An invalid entry code has been entered. 1 Long Beep. An invalid programming entry has been made. 1. An entry code already in memory is being Long Beeps programmed into the system again.. An entry code not in memory is being erased. 1. Exiting the programming mode. 3 Short Beeps 1. Always discharge any static before handling the circuit board.. Attach a 1 AWG ground wire from the system to a good ground point within 1 feet. Mounting posts set in concrete are not a sufficient ground. Good grounds include 10 ft. grounding rods, grounded metal conduits, and grounds at electrical panels. 3 Long Beeps 4 Long Beeps 1. Entry code memory is full. 1. System has just been reset or powered up. 3. In areas prone to lightning and power fluctuations, additional protection such as surge suppressors are recommended. Powering the System It is important to properly power the system with a good power source. To properly power the system: 1. Provide power from a dedicated source.. Use the 1 VAC, 0va transformer supplied with the system. 3. Use the following guide to determine the proper wire size based upon the distance from power source to the system. The factory setting is 000000 for each system. To change the PAC: 1. Press. Press 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 (or new PAC) Response BEEP! 3. Press BEEP! 4. Press (new PAC) magnetic lock, or other device. Refer to the diagrams below when using these configurations. (See page 4 for terminal descriptions.) Gate Operator Control 5. Press *** See Important Safety Notice; Inside Cover of this Manual *** Response BEEP! BEEP! 6. Press 0 Then BEEP! PROGRAM COMPLETE Verifying the Program Access Code (PAC) To verify the PAC: 1. Press 9 Digi-Lock Power 1V Common Normally Open Electric Door Strike Control Common Normally Open Gate Operator Power 1. Connect COM1 to the Gate Operator Common Input.. Connect NO1 to the Gate Operator Open Input. 3. Use at least 18 AWG or larger wire. Use the supplied transformer. DO NOT use power from the Gate Operator Circuit Board! 1. Connect NO1 to the Electric Strike power source.. Connect COM1 to the Electric Strike Common Input. 3. Connect power source to Electric Strike power input. 4. A separate power supply must be used to power the Electric Strike.. Press 0 0 0 0 0 0 (or new PAC) Door Strike Power Digi-Lock Power 1V Door Strike

Connect power source to Magnetic Lock power input. 3. As shown, a separate power supply must be used to power the Magnetic Lock. When the "Strikes and Out" count has been reached, all keypad input including access to the programming mode will be ignored for three minutes. The "Strikes and Out" count is cleared when a valid entry code is entered or the system has not had any input for 60 seconds. The factory setting is five incorrect entry codes allowed. A setting of zero may be used to turn this feature off. To change the "Strikes and Out" count: 1. Press. Press 0 0 0 0 0 0 (or new PAC) 1 VAC power input. Use supplied transf ormer, or 1 VDC if desired. (Input is not DC polarity sensitiv e) Auxiliary Open Feature EXIT 1 EXIT TZONE COMM Any device such as an exit button or a Knox Lock may be connected to the system to operate Relay 1 or Relay. A momentary contact closure will cause the desired Relay to latch for the programmed time. To connect an open device: 1. To activate Relay 1 connect the open device to EXIT 1 and COM.. To activate Relay connect the open device to EXIT and COM. 3. Use a two conductor, shielded cable and connect the shield to the ground screw in the Digi-Lock. 3. Press 3 4. Press (number of incorrect codes to be allowed 00 to 99) 5. Press 6. Press 0 Then BEEP! PROGRAM COMPLETE Programming Entry Code Length

ground screw in the Digi-Lock. Time Clock Feature A time clock may be installed and used in conjunction with the Digital Lock. This will allow certain entry codes to become valid only during designated times. The time clock must provide a dry contact closure. To install a timer or clock: The Digi-Lock may accept four or five digit entry codes. 4-Digit codes are faster to enter and program, but 5-Digit codes offer better security. The system is factory set to 4-Digit entry codes. To change the entry code length: 1. Press 1. Connect the clock relay output to TZONE and COM. (See diagram above). Designate entry codes to be valid within the time zone. (See page 6, Step 6, and Table.) 3. Time Zone designated entry codes will only be active while the dry contact is is made across the TZONE and COM input. 4. Program the time clock to activate it's dry contact for the desired time(s).. Press 0 0 0 0 0 0 (or new PAC) Response BEEP! 4. Press 4 Any timer or clock must provide a dry contact closure. or 5 (Entry Code Length Desired) Failure to use a dry contact closure may cause the timer or clock to burn out the circuit board and may cause a fire. If the 5. Press timer or clock plugs directly into an AC power source and it has an AC output terminal, it does not prov ide a dry contact closure and should not be used. 6. Press 0 Then Page 4 BEEP! PROGRAM COMPLETE Page 9 3. Press 8 BEEP! INSTALLATION Programming Relay 1 Activation Time Slave Keypad Wiring Connections (Option) Relay 1 may be programmed to activate for to 40 seconds. The factory setting is 10 seconds. To program relay 1 activation time: A Slave keypad may be used with the system. All programming for the Slave keypad is done through the normal programming of the Master Keypad. Nine (9) wires are 1. Press required between the Master and Slave keypad. To install the Slave keypad:. Press 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 (or new PAC) 1. Install the Slave keypad within 500 feet of the Master keypad.. Run a AWG, 7-conductor shielded cable and a AWG, -conductor shielded cable from the Master to the Slave keypad. 3. Press 1 3. Connect the 7-conductor cable to the Slave keypad terminals in the same order as the connection of the Master keypad. For example, connect Master 4. Press (Number of Seconds) pin 1 to Slave pin 1 etc. 4. Connect the -conductor cable from the Master 1V terminals directly to the 5. Press slave light wires. (Optional, if lighting is desired) 5. Connect cable shields to the ground screw. AWG 7-conductor 6. Press 0 Then Shielded Cable BEEP! PROGRAM COMPLETE Programming Relay Activation Time To verify the PAC:

1. Press. Press 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 (or new PAC) 3. Press Master Board 1 VAC to Slave Light Bulb only Slave Board (Sold Separately) Slave Light Bulb 4. Press (Number of Seconds 00 to 40) The next five pages will explain how to program the system. If you find yourself 5. Press confused in the middle of a program step, simply remove power from the unit, wait 4 seconds, re-apply power, start your program step over. 6. Press 0 Then Notice that all programming steps begin with entering the PAC: BEEP! PROGRAM COMPLETE 0 0 0 0 0 0 Or New Program Access Code (PAC) And end by exiting the programming mode: 0 Page 8 Page 5 Programming Entry Codes The factory setting for entry code length is 4-Digits. If you wish to use 5-Digit codes go to page 9 and change the length before entering codes for the first time. The Digital Lock will hold 1 to 650 entry codes depending upon the model purchased. To verify the memory size refer to the sticker on the memory chip. To enter the programming mode, a Program Access Code (PAC) must be entered. The factory set PAC is 000000. To change the PAC refer to the "Program Access Code" section on page 10. To program an entry code: Erasing Individual Entry Codes To erase a single entry code: 1. Press. Press 0 0 0 0 0 0 (or new PAC) 1. Press 3. Press 6. Press 0 0 0 0 0 0 (or new PAC) 4. Press (Entry Code to be deleted) 5. Press 3. Press 5 4. Press (Entry Code) 6. Press 0 Then BEEP! PROGRAM COMPLETE 5. Press "Relay Code 1-7". (See Table 1 Below) 6. Press 0 or 1 "Time Zone of/off". (See Table Below) Erasing All Entry Codes

CAUTION! This step will clear the entire entry code memory. 7. Press 1. Press NOTE: To add additional entry codes, repeat steps 3-7, otherwise continue.. Press 0 0 0 0 0 0 (or new PAC) 8.
