Completed Projects: Background: The Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion is a museum that showcases butterflies, insects, reptiles, and much more to local schools and anyone interested in checking out the three story museum. It also boasts one of the largest indoor butterfly pavilions in the world as well as the largest touch screen interface in the world. Our Approach: Their website hadn t been updated in over 20 years as you will see below. So they came to us to rebuild the website from scratch for their grand opening. We instantly saw the potential their museum had to offer the public and we became interested in joining their team. We started brainstorming the new site and worked on putting together a new brand, new color scheme, layout and much more. We worked through Slack to communicate and Trello to keep track of tasks. Our Solution: Since the staff wanted to be able to change content, upload photos, add news clippings, update the event page, and have an ecommerce store where they could upload inventory, etc. we decided to create a custom Wordpress website for them. After deciding on a color scheme, typography, icons, photos and navigation - we got to work. The result is a custom, mobile responsive, adaptive to any device or screen, beautiful, dynamic website that has an easy to navigate menu with pages that have a variety of style. Alpha Tools: Background: Alpha Professional Tools was founded in 1986 and has become a leading manufacturer of quality tools for professionals in the natural/engineered stone, porcelain, ceramic, glass, construction, as well as marine and automotive industries. Alpha provides the best products for cutting, drilling, shaping and polishing all types of materials. Our Approach: Their website has never been updated in decades. Although they hired us to build a brand new front end UI design, they said they had an internal back end programmer to hook up their existing ASP.NET database. So we spent a few months working on the front end. Everything from colors, typography, logos, special characters, iconography, drop down menus, special navigation, product listings, shopping cart, categories, and much more. Our Solution: We built them a custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery website. The result is a custom, mobile responsive, adaptive to any device or screen, beautiful, dynamic website that has an easy to navigate menu with pages that have a variety of style. They are still working on attaching their ASP.NET database to my design. We are able to do that as well, but they wanted to save money and do that with their internal team. CareerInSTEM: Background: A fantastic school teacher turned grant writer in Connecticut, USA approached us to build a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) career resource oriented platform. She had previously built an informational landing page and was stuck there. Our Approach: The landing page was very basic as you will see below. Not only that, but the client didn t really know exactly what she needed on the new platform. So we helped her do some market research using surveys and social media to determine her core value proposition. After gathering enough data and analyzing it we determined what she needed to build. Our Solution: We built them a custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery website on top of Wordpress. The result is a custom, mobile responsive, adaptive to any device or screen, beautiful, dynamic website that has an easy to navigate menu with pages that have a variety of style. Instamour: Background: Instamour was originally the leading video dating app on the market since 2013. Since then they have pivoted to a video discovery platform. With roughly half a million users, this platform is poised to succeed in the coming years as video is taking over the market. Our Approach: After researching the dating market and the video market, we put together a style, color scheme, iconography, typography, and other best practices that would work best for the market. We created a white board design, wireframe, workflow document, and many visual maps to help us along the way. Then with our entire development team, we built an iphone, android, web, and backend application from scratch with a full API and many integrated frameworks and SDK s. Our Solution: Our current result is a fluid, fast, simple to navigate UI/UX that is comparable to Snapchat, YouTube, Periscope, and other simple to use yet effective and useful apps. Gashuku.TV Background: Gashuku is the world s first video live stream application for independent sports. The CEO is not technical and therefore reached out to us to help with the technical side. Gashuku s goal is to help tournament organizers, sports teams, coaches, parents, and schools let their friends, family, and fans watch their games live from the comfort of their mobile device or computer. Unfortunately, most platforms only focus on Major League/Pro Sports, and many independent sports companies/organizations, including their consumers, are left in the cold. This is where Gashuku comes in. Our Approach: We are currently tasked with designing a current UI / UX for the Native ios and Android apps. They have to include the following components: live streaming, community, monetization, video camera recording, categories, profiles, and more. We also have to build a scalable backend database on Amazon AWS, EC2 & S3, to host the live streams and potentially hundreds of sports organizers. Our Solution: Our current design incorporates the best of video platforms such as YouTube, Periscope, Facebook and the like.
