Battery Replacement For best performance, we recommend replacing the batteries that came with this toy with three, new alkaline C (LR14) batteries. 1.5V x C (LR14) Shown Actual Size Battery Compartment Door Locate the battery compartment door on the bottom of the keyboard. Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment door. Insert three C (LR14) alkaline batteries, as indicated inside the battery compartment. Hint:We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer battery life. Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten. When lights or sounds from this toy become faint or stop, it s time for an adult to replace the batteries! Battery Tips Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium). Remove the batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Battery leakage and corrosion can damage this toy. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode or leak. Never short circuit the battery terminals. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended in the Battery Replacement instructions are to be used. If removable rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before they are charged. If you use a battery charger, it should be examined regularly for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. Do not use a damaged battery charger until it has been properly repaired. 1 Leg Star Button Stage 1 - Lay & Play Gym Support Large Slot While pressing the star buttons on a support, fit the end of the support into the large slot in one of the legs, as shown. Push the support until it snaps into place. Repeat this procedure to attach the other support to the remaining leg. Knob Stage Switch Slide the stage switch to for use with babies lying down. Hint: If your child is not actively playing with this toy, it turns off automatically (sleep mode). Be sure to slide the stage switch to the off position when not in use. Position the keyboard so it faces you. Fit a leg assembly to the side of the keyboard, as shown. Turn the knob clockwise to secure the leg assembly to the keyboard. Make sure the knob is fully tightened. Repeat this procedure to attach the other leg assembly to the keyboard. Hanger Mode Switch Volume Switch Slide the mode switch to for shorter play. When baby bats the toys, a single song plays with singing light-up stars. Slide the mode switch to for longer play. When baby bats the toys, the music plays for about 10 minutes with singing light-up stars. Locate the volume switch on the bottom of the keyboard. Adjust volume to high ; or low, for your child s comfort. Grasp each hanger under the keyboard and pull it down so it swings freely. Attach the toys to the hangers as shown. 4

1 To change from Stage 1 to Stage Turn the threaded knobs counter-clockwise and detach the leg assemblies from the keyboard. Press the star buttons and remove the two supports from the legs. Now proceed to step. If you have not used this toy before and are assembling it for first time use in Stage, start with Step. Stage - Sit & Play Leg Support Star Button Large Slot While pressing the star buttons on a support, fit the end of the support into the large slot in one of the legs, as shown. The support should snap in place. Repeat this procedure to attach the other support to the remaining leg. Stage Switch Slide the stage switch to for use with babies sitting up. Hint: If your child is not actively playing with this toy, it turns off automatically (sleep mode). Be sure to slide the stage switch to the off position when not in use. When baby presses a key, musical scales or chords play as twinkling lights follow along. Locate the volume switch on the bottom of the keyboard. Adjust volume to high ; or low, for your child s comfort. Tab Hanger Rotate the hangers up and snap them into place. Attach the toys to the hangers and tabs as shown. 5
