AERMOD View AERMOD View is a Microsoft Windows -based program that can be installed in the following Windows operating systems (32-Bit or 64-Bit): Microsoft Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate versions) Microsoft Windows Vista (Business and Ultimate versions) Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 3) Before you install AERMOD View, make sure you have the following minimum requirements: A Pentium 4 processor or higher At least 2 GB of available hard disk space 1 GB of RAM for Windows XP 2 GB of RAM for Windows VISTA and Windows 7 1. AERMOD View Installation Instructions Please note that you must have full administrative rights to your computer to install the software. Step 1: Download and save the self-extracting installation file (see file name below) to a temporary folder in your computer: Lakes_Environmental_AERMOD_View _Install.exe Step 2: Step 3: Double-click on the installation executable file and follow the installation instructions. After the installation is completed you must reboot your computer. 1 of 6
2. Screen View Installation Instructions Please note that you must have full administrative rights to your computer to install the software. Step 4: Download and save the self-extracting installation file (see file name below) to a temporary folder in your computer: Lakes_Environmental_Screen_View _Install.exe Step 5: Double-click on the installation executable file and follow the installation instructions. 3. Screen View License Activation Instructions Follow the steps below to transfer the Screen View license: Step 6: Step 7: Download and save the license file Screen_View_License.exe to a temporary folder in your computer. Double-click on the license executable file. After the license is transferred, a message will be displayed indicating if the license transfer was completed. Press OK. 2 of 6
4. AERMOD View Web License Activation Instructions Follow the steps below to activate the temporary AERMOD View web license: Warning 1: You must activate the license while logged to the computer into the account that the student will be using during the course. Warning 2: Your computer must have access to the internet at the time of the license activation process. Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: After installing AERMOD View and rebooting your computer, login as the user who will be using AERMOD View. Start the AERMOD View application by selecting from the Windows Start Menu All Programs Lakes Environmental AERMOD View (Trial) AERMOD View. The License Administration tool should now be displayed. Select Web License and click the Activate button. Step 4: The Web License Administration dialog should now be displayed. 3 of 6
Step 5: Step 6: Enter the Serial # and Activation Key provided to you by e-mail and click the Activate button. This will open the AERMOD View welcome screen. Simply click OK to begin using AERMOD View. 5. How to Deactivate the Web License: To deactivate your Web License, please complete the following steps: Step 1: Step 2: Start the AERMOD View application by selecting from the Windows Start Menu All Programs Lakes Environmental AERMOD View (Trial) AERMOD View. Select the menu option File Deactivate Web License. 4 of 6
Step 3: The Web License Administration dialog is displayed. Click the Deactivate button. Step 4: Now you can activate your Web License in another computer. 6. Install AERMOD Course Files Follow the steps below to install the course case study files: Step 5: Download and save the self-extracting executable file (see file name below) to a temporary folder in your computer: Install_AERMOD_Course_Files_...exe Step 6: Double-click on the executable file and follow the instructions on the screen. Please do not change the default folder where the course files are installed. 7. Additional Software Requirements Please ensure that Microsoft Excel TM and Google Earth TM are installed on the training computer. The course will require the use of these two programs during the hands-on exercises.
