Sound the Alarm Personal Fundraising Page Set-Up Guide Thank you for signing up for personal fundraising (PF) in support of Sound the Alarm, a home fire safety and smoke alarm installation event. Sound the Alarm is a massive effort led by volunteers to install 100,000 free smoke alarms in over 100 cities from April 28 th -May 12 th. Personal fundraising is critical to the success of this event and supporters like you are helping make this possible! Here is a step-by-step guide to help you get your fundraising page ready to go. Step 1 Determine Which Team You Should Join Personal fundraising for Sound the Alarm is divided into several broad teams on CrowdRise, our fundraising platform. These teams are described below and the link to each team s landing page is also included. Fundraisers join smaller, local teams listed on these landing pages. Review them below or see them all at https://www.crowdrise.com/soundthe-alarm. For the best user experience, please use an updated Chrome browser for accessing CrowdRise. Note: If you received a direct link to a team page to join, skip to Step 4 Chapter Teams https://www.crowdrise.com/sound-the-alarm-chapter-teams this is where all local volunteers, employees, and supporters can go to find a local Red Cross Chapter Team to join. The majority of personal fundraising is conducted through Chapter Teams.
