New features Page 3 Data Analysis Graphs The first of the new statistical graph configurations describes and illustrates statistics on numeric columns in one complete window. Several options, including a separate and exportable summary table, manual axis limits and bin width controls, will have a significant impact on the usability of this feature. A key feature in how the graph interacts with the scene opens a multitude of options, e.g. categorising data in the 3D scene that has been analysed and scrutinised in the graph. A sharp look and feel to the presentation gives the user a report-ready appearance.

Page 4 A number of graph options including Histograms, log probability plots, box plots, scatter plots and Q-Q plots have been introduced in Geo 4.2 for data analysis. These are available for interval tables, points, block models and sub-blocked models. Users can compare two numeric variables as a Scatter plot. Analytical traces such as the linear regression and conditional expectation can be added to the display to determine the extent to which data is correlated. Furthermore, display setting such as colouring and marker size, can add a third and fourth variable, making this plot type a very powerful method of communicating the geologists interpretation of the data. Box plots provide an immediate sense of population distribution, the spread of data, the extent of the outliers, the mean and median measurements. For tables with a category column, the box plot can be used to compare the distribution within each category code. All graphs are provided with a number of settings, copy and export options so that, with very little effort, the user can provide meaningful graphical information for reports or presentations.

Page 5 Compositing Comparison Comparing grade distribution or interval length before and after compositing, requires a specialized graph to guide important decisions. This new bivariate histogram for composited data, displays raw and composited data on a single graph. A table of summary statistics directly compares populations, providing a full picture of the effect a particular compositing approach has had on the grade distribution.

Page 6 Vein Reprocessing Improvements Improvements made in Geo 4.2 means that only the edited vein will be reprocessed, making iterative editing of veins much faster. Previously, when a change was made to an interval selection that affected dependent veins, all veins would be reprocessed, including those whose input data had not changed as a result of the interval selection. Assign to the Base Lithology When selecting intervals, it is now possible to assign intervals to existing category codes, a really useful feature for cleaning data by reassigning incorrect intervals.

Identify Mesh Parts in the Scene Page 7 When extracting mesh parts or exporting a mesh, distinguishing between the different parts has previously been a case of trial and error. It is now possible to identify in the scene what parts of a mesh correspond to the select part in the Extract/Export Mesh Parts window. Combine Identical Mesh Vertices Meshes in the Meshes folder have a new cleaning option for merging vertices that have the exact same coordinates. This is intended to improve snapping cases where vertices occupy the exact same point in space.

Block Model Exports Geo 4.2 introduces flexible export options for block models that put you in control of what data you export. Page 8 Category Selection on Downhole Points The New Category Selection tool available on points in the Points folder is now available for downhole points, including LAS points.

Page 9 Filtered Drillholes and Points for Distance Functions When distance functions are created from boreholes, points, GIS points and imported GIS lines, it is now possible to filter the object used with any query filter defined for that object. Evaluate Drillholes on Curved Sections It is now possible to evaluate drillholes onto fence sections, including curved portions of the section.

Page 10 Improved Batch Exports of Section Layers Cross section layouts can be exported from all sections in the project at once, rather than having to export layouts from individual sections. Clip Evaluations to Section Extents When evaluations are made against sections, it has not previously been possible to specify a range for the section extents. In Geo 4.2, when models and surfaces are evaluated on sections, it is possible to limit the evaluation extents to those of the section. Import Meshes from Central When working on a Central project in a modelling product, you can now import meshes from other Central projects on the same server. This means that it is possible to share up-to-date resources from one project to another improving how multiple users can contribute to a single project. In addition, fast reload functionality allows an up-to-date version of the mesh from the same branch to be easily imported.

View Integration with Geo It has never been so quick and easy to consult a colleague on a tricky model, share impactful visual information with stakeholders or update key personnel on a developing situation. View, Leapfrog s webbased solution for visualising on a purpose-built scene, will be fully integrated into Geo 4.2. With a couple of clicks, you can upload a 3D View from Geo to the web, where it can be accessed from anywhere in the world. You can set permissions, share and access 3D Views, interrogate the data using slices, create slides on points of interest in order to focus the conversation. Page 11 For complete information on how to send models to View from Leapfrog Geo 4.2 please www.lfview.com.

Upgrade Notes Page 12 Project Upgrades Leapfrog Geo version 4.2 is backwards compatible and supports direct project upgrades from any version of Leapfrog Geo since version 2.0. Projects built in earlier versions of the software must be opened using Leapfrog Geo 2.0 before they can be opened with version 4.2. Backdated versions of the software are available at leapfrog3d.com. 32-bit Support Leapfrog Geo version 4.2 does not support 32-bit operating systems.
