Login and My Account 1. How do I sign up? Click the Login button in the header on any page. Then, click Sign up below the sign in box. You will need to enter your full name, email and password. The password must be at least 8 characters long and include at least one of each of 0-9, a-z, A-Z and Symbol (e.g.! #? $). If you had an account with TFE and/or CRCnetbase, you should have received an email inviting you to sign-up on the new platform. If you have not received this please email support@taylorfrancis.com. 2. How do I login? Click the Login button in the header on any page; this will take you to the login page. If you have signed up with Taylor & Francis already, enter your account email and password. If you have forgotten your login credentials, contact Customer Support: support@taylorfrancis.com. 3. Why can t I log in? There are several reasons why you may not be able to log in. Below are the most common situations: Have you completed the verification process? If not, look for the verification email in your inbox/spam folder. To have the verification email resent, press Sign-Up with the same email address. If you have forgotten your login credentials, contact Customer Support: support@taylorfrancis.com. address. Third Party cookies need to be enabled on your browser, please check Privacy settings. 4. How do I reset my password? Click on the Forgot Password link on the login screen Enter your email address to receive and email with instructions to reset your password. Note: You cannot reset your password for Shibboleth or OpenAthens through the above link. Please contact either your institute / organisation to reset passwords for accounts using those federations. 5. How do I change my password? Please visit your My Account profile to change your password. You need to enter your new password twice and click the Save button to change it. Remember your password should be at least 8 characters long and include at least one of each of 0-9, a-z, A-Z and Symbol (e.g.! #? $).

Access to content 6. How do students gain access to content? If the student is on campus, they should automatically be granted access to the content your institution has purchased. If the student is off-campus, they will need to log in: either to the university VPN using credentials provided by the university; EzProxy IP; or, if your institution has added a Shibboleth IDP, via Shibboleth and OpenAthens by clicking the respective boxes and entering their Shibboleth credentials. 7. What authentication methods does the website support? For launch the website will be supporting IP, EZProxy IP, and Shibboleth as authentication means, but we will be continuing to develop our authentication options. IPv.6 not currently available. 8. What search functionality is supported on the new platform? As a user, when you perform a search, you have a number of options to refine your results. You can select a number of filters such as: show content I have access to, subject, publication date, and publisher imprint. You can also search using Boolean terms and queries provided that you re familiar with constructing them. 9. How can I limit search results to only show results for content to which I have access? In the search results page, tick the checkbox for Show content I have access to. 10. How can I browse for all content in a particular subject? From the home page https://www.taylorfrancis.com/, scroll to Browse By Subjects. Click on your top-level subject to be taken to the search results for all books and chapters under this subject. To refine these results, choose a sub-subject from the filters on the left hand side and/or add a keyword in the search box. There are up to 4 levels of subject. 11. What should I do if I can t find a book to which I should have access? Please email our customer support team on support@taylorfrancis.com. 12. How can I purchase content? To purchase content displayed on this site, please contact your sales representative or contact support@taylorfrancis.com.

Reporting and Managing your MARC records 13. What browsers are supported? We support Internet Explorer 11 and above, Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome. UBX is also fully responsive on mobile and tablet devices 14. Where can I access the Librarian section of the site?. To access the Librarian support tools you will need to access the My Institution section: 1. Click on the navigation drop-down in the top right 2. Click Your Institution this will take you to your dashboard From here you can manage your institution settings, retrieve MARC Records, view usage stats and much more. 15. What reports are available? There are multiple COUNTER standard reports which can be downloaded from the site: BR1, BR2 and BR3 COUNTER reports List of all your institution s holdings with Taylor & Francis Librarians can also view usage trends 17. What will happen to my institution s usage data from www.tandfebooks.com and www.crcnetbase.com? For historical information the data is still available but you will need to contact Customer Services at support@taylorfrancis.com 18. How can I download MARC records for all of my entitlements? To download MARC records, you will need to be within the institution s IP range and logged in using a Taylor & Francis admin account. After which: 1. Navigate to the My Institution Section 2. Click on MARC Records in the 3. Click on the Request button in the Download all MARC records option 19. How will I know if new or updated MARC records are available? A notification will appear in the top right hand corner. Click on the icon to view the details. 16. How can I download COUNTER reports? 1. Navigate to the My Institution section 2. Click Usage Reporting 3. Click Download Reports.

Managing your MARC records 20. What happens if I can t find the MARC record I requested If you have attempted to download a MARC record for a title but it is unsuccessful, there are 2 possible causes: MARC records are not available for titles which are not published There is an error from our end, thus we re unable to supply you the MARC record. Please contact us should this occur: Customer Services at support@taylorfrancis.com 21. What is the missing_isbn_marc_records...txt file I m receiving This file highlights why some of the ISBNs MARC records could not be retrieved. Please note that titles which have not been published will not have MARC records available. 22. How do I download new or updated MARC records? 1. In the My Institution section, click on MARC Records in the 2. Click on the Request button by Download MARC Record Updates. This will run a back-end process to request the MARC records 3. Once your request has been processed, you will receive an email notification and see a notification in the top right of the screen 4. Click on the notification link 5. Download the zip file which will contain the MARC records of the ISBNs you wish to add to your system. 23. How do I download MARC records for a list of ISBNs? 1. In the My Institution section, click on MARC Records in the 2. Upload spreadsheet with all the ISBNs 3. Click REQUEST MARC RECORDS ISBNs you wish to add to your system Note: You will only be able to download the MARC records which you have an entitlement to 24. How do I download deletion MARC records? To remove MARC records from your library management system, you will need to download a Deletion MARC record. To do this: 1. In the My Institution section, click on MARC Records in the 2. Upload spreadsheet with all the ISBNs 3. Click REQUEST MARC RECORDS

Managing your MARC records and Miscellaneous ISBNs you wish to remove to your system Note: that you will only be able to download the deletion MARC records that are no longer part of your institutions entitlements 25. How do I download MARC records for a specific license? 1. In the My Institution section, click on Licenses in the left-hand navigation 2. Select the license whose MARC records you wish to download 3. Click REQUEST MARC RECORDS ISBNs you wish to remove to your system 26. How do I download MARC records for a specific title(s)? 1. In the My Institution section, click on Access Entitlements in the 2. Click on the checkbox icon next to each title 3. Click REQUEST MARC RECORDS ISBNs you wish to remove to your system 27. How do I view my previous requests for MARC records? 1. In the My Institution section, click on the Data Requests in the 2. Here you will find all current and past requests which you have made for downloading MARC records 28. How can I find out what content my institution has access to? To download a list of your entitlements, you will need to be within the institution s IP range and logged in using a Taylor & Francis administrator account. After which: 1. Navigate to the My Institution section 2. Click on Entitlements in the 3. Click Download as CSV 29. Where can I find the license type of the content my institution has access to? You will be able to find this within the entitlements page as previously mentioned (see question 13). Within the page, there is a table which provides a breakdown of each content and shows their respective license type.

Miscellaneous 30. How can I update the IP addresses for my institution? You can check IP addresses on your dashboard. To change them please contact support@taylorfrancis.com Functionality to allow you to manage and update IP addresses yourself will be added in the future. 31. Am I able to reset other librarians / students password? No, however they will be able to reset their own password on the platform, provided they have previously validated the account. Please refer to questions 1-5. 32. How can I update the admin users at my institution? Please contact support@taylorfrancis.com. 33. How do I add my branding to the platform? Currently branding is not supported. This functionality will be coming in the future. 35. What online accessibility standards are supported? Currently we support priority 1 (level A) of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative Guidelines (WAIG). 36. What indexing services are the books listed on? Third party library discovery services will be updated after the launch of the platform, but redirects will be in place on the 31st October 2017. 37. Will the platform show that access is provided by my institution? No; although access is provided by your institution, users will not see a specific message with that information. 38. Who can I contact for help? For support requests please contact our global support team at: support@taylorfrancis.com. 34. Are WAYFless URLs supported? Currently WAYFless URLs are not supported. This functionality will be coming in the future. Open URLs are also not supported.
