WRNING SPECIL HNDLING REQUIRED!!! Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Information Electrostatic discharge, the uncontrolled release of static electricity, can damage electronic parts and assemblies. ESD occurs when you touch an object that conducts electricity when it is at a different electrical charge than you are. HNDLING INSTRUCTIONS: Do not remove electronic parts and assemblies from the protective package until you are ready to install it. Before handling and installing electronic parts or assemblies, it is best to ground yourself by using an anti static wrist strap to discharge any static electricity. If a wrist strap is not available, touch a grounded metal surface from time to time to prevent a static charge from building. For example the metal chassis on the machine. void touching exposed connector pins or exposed components on the printed circuit board. 2015 Nilfisk-dvance, Inc. (page 1 of 9)

REMOVE THE RECOVERY TNK 1 2 Drain the recovery tank completely and shut off the solution tank valve. See Figure 1. Open the recovery tank by releasing the latch () located between the solution and recovery tank and tip open until support cable is tight. Disconnect the squeegee hose from the tank and unplug the vacuum fan connector from the main harness. NOTE: If the extended scrub kit has been installed you will also need to disconnect Wiring Connector (B) and Hose (C). Unlatch the support cable. With the help of an assistant, tip the tank away from the machine and carefully lift the recovery tank off of the machine hinges (D). Carefully set the tank aside. 3 4 5 FIGURE 1 Recovery Tank B Backside of Recovery Tank D C 2015 Nilfisk-dvance, Inc. (page 3 of 9)
DISCONNECT WIRING HRNESS CONNECTORS 1 See Figure 2. Lift Protective Cover () to access the wiring harness connectors. 2 Unplug the J3 Gray (B), J2 White (C) and J7 (D) connectors. SPECIL PROGRMMING Follow the steps below to program your machine. The new PCB Box needs to be programed to tell it how the machine is equipped. For example the Machine Type setting tells the PCB Box if the machine is Battery, Diesel, Propane, gas or LEV. The Machine Type and Battery Type must be set, if they are left as undefined whenever the key is turned on the display screen will default to the Configuration Menu. 1 See Figure 8. Turn the Key Switch (9) to the Off position. 2 Press and hold both Turn Signal buttons (9D and 9E) and turn the key switch On. Continue to hold both buttons for 2 seconds. 3 The hidden configuration menu will appear on the Display Screen (9C). 4 Use the Scrub Pressure Increase (9F) and Scrub Pressure Decrease (9J) buttons to scroll through the menus. 5 Press the One Touch Scrub button (9G) to enter any submenu. Press the Solution ON/OFF button (9K) to exit any submenu. 6 Press the Scrub Pressure Increase button (9F) until Installed is shown on the display. 7 Press the One Touch Scrub button (9G) to save the setting, and to exit the submenu. 8 Scroll through the Configuration Menu and set each menu selection to the appropriate value for your machine. Note: Refer to the settings you documented for the board you just replaced. 9 Turn the Key Switch (9) to the off position to exit the hidden menus. 10 Refer to the last page for main broom adjustment instructions. 11 Scroll down to item 18. Choose the part number of the User Interface Board that you have: 56511559 (new User Interface Board) 56509476 (old User Interface Board) NOTE: SEE FIGURE 8. DJUST THE MIN BROOM 1 Drive the machine to an area with a level floor and set the parking brake. 2 See Figure 9. Press the One-Touch Sweep Switch (Y) to lower the main broom. DO NOT move the machine. 3 Lightly press the Drive Pedal to start the main broom and let it run in place for 1 minute. This allows the broom to polish a strip on the floor. fter 1 minute, raise the broom, release the parking brake and move the machine so that the polished strip is visible. 4 Inspect the polished strip on the floor. If the strip is less than 2 inches (5.08 cm) or more than 3 inches (7.62cm) wide, the broom needs to be adjusted. 5 To adjust, press the Broom Select Switch () twice, or until the Main Broom Indicator Light (Y1) is flashing. The LCD Display (C) will show the broom position bar graph (C8) and main broom symbol (C9). Press and hold or repeatedly press the Broom Height Raise Switch (Z) to raise the main broom or Broom Height Lower Switch (BB) to lower the main broom (the position indicator will move up and down to represent the broom position). fter 10 seconds without adjustment the main broom will be set at this position and exit the adjustment menu. Start with the position indicator at the top of the bar graph for a new broom. djust the position indicator down as the broom wears. Replace the broom when the position indicator reaches the bottom of the bar graph. 6 Repeat steps 1-5 until the polished strip is 2-3 inches (5.08-7.62cm) wide. The width of the polished strip should be the same at both ends of the broom. If the strip is tapered, move the machine to a different area and repeat steps 1-5. If the polished strip is still tapered, contact your dvance Dealer for service. FIGURE 9 C9 C10 C8 C Z Y1 Y CC BB 2015 Nilfisk-dvance, Inc. (page 9 of 9)
