Perceptive Media Portal 2.1.1 Release (January, 2018) Perceptive Media Portal 2.1.1 The following enhancement is included in this release. Enhancement The Media Portal server now communicates with the IDP of a changed domain. (US40131) Perceptive Media Portal 2.1.0 Release (February, 2017) Perceptive Media Portal 2.1.0 The following enhancements and updates are included in this release. Enhancements Perceptive Identity Provider (IDP) now replaces Magento as the authentication system for website users. As a result, Magento settings are removed from the Create A New Customer Account page in Perceptive Media Portal. The log-in-type users are now directed to the IDP log-in screen to access SOD, though back-office users must continue to log in using their parent site. (US96973) Your website now identifies your regional language based on your location and launches the website in your regional language. You can also change the language on your website manually. If the website does not include the language of your region, it opens in English. (US100459) Administrators can now provide Google Cloud Messaging settings for their individual accounts. These settings are used to send notifications to their users. Previously, a single Google Cloud Messaging settings was used for all resold accounts. (US101754, US101755, US101756) Access to various functions of Perceptive Media Portal is now regulated through user rights and privileges. This enhancement ensures that only authorized users get access to relevant functions of Perceptive Media Portal. (US99041) Administrators can now locate the Playlist Share IDs for shared playlists. Playlist Share IDs can help administrators extract details regarding shared playlists. (US104390) Added a functionality that restricts the automatic deletion of video and audio tracks that are reported to be not available in Perceptive Media when you perform the "Sync Media" operation. Such video and audio tracks are now marked for deletion with a deactivation date. If the video or audio track that is marked for deletion is reported to be available during another "Sync Media" operation within the deactivation date, the deletion request is revoked. (US104760) The information obtained through the liquid drop of the account now matches the information received from the getaccount API. (US 105808) Added a functionality that enables administrators to update information of existing customers. (US96953) 4
You can now update Media Manager credentials and synchronize media content from Settings. The Media Manager settings link in the left pane, which previously included these settings, is discontinued. (US99039) The fields and the Send button in the Send Notifications page are now rearranged and realigned to make the Send Notifications feature more intuitive and user friendly. (US99036) The toolbar buttons on the Perceptive Media Portal user interface now appear correctly on different screen sizes. (US99040) User interface elements and error messages related to auto sync are now enhanced to provide a better user experience. (US96978) Administrators of Perceptive Media Portal can now mark collections as "Featured" to enable users to filter and view only the "Featured" collections. (US100462) On Android devices, to populate a collection you can now identify the collection by collection ID when you send the request with the "fetch-by-id" parameter. (US103290) Implemented a cookie-based user authentication that allows you to set the user authorization token in the request cookie.(us102646) Media Portal now implements measures to ensure that data stored in metrics tables are in proper format before they are sent to a time-series database for further processing. (DE56633) Perceptive Media Portal 1.9.2 Release (June 08, 2016) Perceptive Media Portal 1.9.2 The following enhancements and updates are included in this release. Enhancements The Analytics Dashboard page now displays the OS platform using which the users visit your website. (US91367) Reseller administrators can now send notifications to specific accounts from the Perceptive Media Portal admin console. Reseller administrators can also send notifications to specific resold accounts and to users of a specific resold account using APIs. (US94425) Website users can now resume contents of a lesson from where they left when they open a paused content. This enhancement is applicable for contents that are not marked as complete, which were paused by the users in one log-in session and accessed later from another log-in session. (US95867) 5
The Analytics Overview page of the Perceptive Media Portal admin console now graphically displays the audios and videos that are most popular among users across all websites. This view is available to the administrators. (US91369) Administrators can now specify the language of a collection from the Perceptive Media Portal admin console. Administrators and website users can also filter collections based on language. (US97569) Twistage, the cloud repository that is integrated to Perceptive Media Portal, is now renamed as Media Manager. All references to Twistage in the project are replaced with Media Manager. (US96974) Improved the rendering of visual components of media player while loading. (US92691) The red play and pause buttons that the website users formerly used in order to play lessons from the website are now removed because the play and pause controls on the player provide the same functionality. (US93280) Updates Resolved an issue where reseller and resold administrators were not able to delete a selected collection by selecting the Delete option or add content and collection to a collection by selecting the Add to collection option from the drop-down list. (DE52872, DE52304) Resolved an issue that displayed JSON error message on deleting a duplicate file from the playlist on your website instead of refreshing the playlist. (DE51967) Resolved an issue where the users were not able to navigate to other pages of the list of blog posts from the default page using the page navigation buttons at the bottom. (DE49949) Resolved an issue that did not allow reseller administrators to extract user information for resold accounts and their users. (DE52015) Resolved an issue that caused the user email form field and share link to appear momentarily when the webpage refreshed after a file from the playlist on the website was deleted. (DE49815) Resolved an issue in blogs and blog posts where administrators were not able to save updates in the associated categories and tags. (DE53302) Resolved an issue where video contents of a lesson did not use the default player of Perceptive Media Portal when users played them from the website. The issue occurred when the played video content was not marked as complete. Enhancements Updates Reseller administrator can now customize featured content in website, and Popular and Channel sections in mobile app, for each customer. (US90479) Data regarding the number of customer visits in the Analytics Overview page is now organized according to website and displayed in a graphical format. You can view the most frequently visited pages for each website for a single customer by clicking the horizontal bar in the graphical display. (US92160) When you add or edit a blog post, a new "Save and Continue" button now allows you remain on the same page and continue updating your post after you save. (US90943) Video thumbnails in customer websites now appear as poster images. Previously, the first frame of the video appeared instead of poster image. (US92671) Added a functionality that enables Perceptive Media Portal to automatically synchronize content from Perceptive Media. (US90957) Performance of various user operations from the admin user interface, such as loading the admin page after login and loading of collections, audios, videos, and lessons, is now improved. To improve user experience, progress indicators are added wherever loading operations take time. (US94576) Users can now see audio and video content specific to a language from the website when they select the language on the website. (US91611) Administrator can now add analytics tracking ID and tracking type on the Account Settings page of Perceptive Media Portal to enable analytics on the Perceptive Media Portal mobile app. (US93666) Administrator of Perceptive Media Portal can now create resold accounts and assign privileges to the resold account administrator from the Perceptive Media Portal admin console. (US94874) Google Analytics can now be used to track the number of hits, plays, forwards, rewinds, pauses, and stop functions performed by the user in videos and audios on the mobile platform for both ios and Android. The administrator can also use Google Analytics to track information such as the progress percentage for specific discrete values as well as the number of users for video and audio. (US92715) Article support is now provided on the mobile platform for Android. (US91778) Resolved an issue where a language based media search displayed results that included media in other languages whereas selecting "All languages" in the drop-down list did not display media in all languages. (DE50695) Resolved an issue in Safari 8 and earlier versions of Safari where no contents were displayed when you clicked videos, audios, images, and documents. In addition to this, in blogs, the issue where the administrator was unable to click Articles and Quotes to modify an article or quote, respectively, and the administrator was unable to add an article or quote by clicking on Add Post, were also resolved. (DE50393) Resolved an issue where Perceptive Media Portal allowed the administrator to save invalid or blank values in Twistage credentials, which caused an error while synchronizing media content. (DE51861) Resolved an issue that caused lessons to replay after they are played once. (DE51254) Resolved an issue that restricted sorting of collections, audio files, video files, and documents to the first page. (DE50653) 7
Resolved an issue where the audio and video players displayed an error while playing an audio or video on Internet Explorer version 10 and version 11. (DE51512) Resolved an issue where clicking the help icon in Perceptive Media Portal opened an error page. (DE52244) Resolved an issue where users were unable to upload a document. (DE50692) Resolved an issue where a module of a lesson replayed continuously when a lesson was played, and this action did not allow users to select the next module. (DE51203) Resolved an issue where users were not able to sort blog posts. (DE50654) Resolved an issue where a downloaded PDF file in Book Summary was saved under an incorrect name in the mobile platform for Android. (DE50632) Perceptive Media Portal 1.9.0 Release (February 11, 2016) Perceptive Media Portal 1.9.0 The following enhancement and updates are included in this release. Enhancement Updates Added a functionality that allowed reseller admin user to see the number of user visits for all resold account websites, individually and collectively, from the Analytics Overview page in Perceptive Media Portal, without displaying the user name. This functionality also allowed resold account users to see the total number of user visits for their website and displayed the user name. (US91363, US91372, US91373, US91374) Resolved an issue where resold accounts were unable to view collections, which were created by the reseller, from resold websites. (DE49750) Resolved an issue where the thumbnail of the video appeared different from the video image in the list of videos in Perceptive Media Portal. (DE50441) Resolved an access issue to websites created by Perceptive Media Portal by replacing GlusterFS with Elastic Block Store (EBS).
