About the Virtual Appliance User s Guide The Virtual Appliance User s Guide provides information about creating, configuring, backing up, and recovering Virtual Appliances. Virtual Appliances run in a virtual environment, where as Integration Appliances are physical machines. 1Before You Begin Cast Iron s products run equally as well in the virtual world as they do in the physical world. You can install Cast Iron s Operating System (CIOS) on a single virtual machine running one integration project or you can install CIOS on multiple virtual machines running many projects and create an infrastructure for a data center. A virtual appliance is a virtual machine packaged with a guest operating system and optional application software. This guide provides information and procedures to create virtual appliances with CIOS as the guest operating system. If you are creating a virtual appliance to run a single integration project all you will need is: A host machine which can be a laptop, desktop, or a server CIOS ISO ESX, ESXi or VMware Server VMware Infrastructure Client (required for ESX and ESXi only) Internet connection Data Center You can install the Cast Iron Operating System (CIOS) onto multiple virtual machines to efficiently create a virtual environment that replicates racks of physical Integration Appliances. While there are various vendors you could use to create this virtual environment, we recommend that you use VMware to create, manage, and maintain your virtual environment. Your virtual environment should consist of the following components: CIOS ISO A SAN A pool of machines (preferably a blade server) ESX, ESXi, or VMware Server Cast Iron Integration Appliance Virtual Appliance User s Guide 1

Before You Begin VMware Infrastructure Client (required for ESX and ESXi only) VMware VMotion and VMware High Availability add-ons (optional) The recommended VMware add-ons can help you manage and balance the workload across multiple virtual machines, find the optimum location for the virtual machines in a data center, and manage failovers and OS related failures. Working with Virtual Machines 2Working with Virtual Machines Create a virtual appliance using the VMware Infrastructure Client. Use one of the recommended configurations to configure your virtual machine. After you create and configure a virtual machine, use the VMware Infrastructure Client Console to install the Cast Iron Operating System (CIOS) onto the virtual machine and retrieve all necessary licenses. You can use this fully configured Virtual Appliance to create clones. Working with Virtual Machines Recommended Configurations While you can customize the configuration of your virtual machine, it is strongly suggested that you use one of the following configurations when you create a virtual machine that runs the CIOS: If you do not configure the components properly, the sensitive relationship between the amount of RAM and disk space available to a virtual machine can affect the performance of your virtual machine. NOTE: VMware does not allow the virtual machine to be multi-processor if the host machine is uni-processor. Cast Iron supports the following products as virtual machines: Table 2-1 Recommended Configurations for Virtual Machines Product CPU RAM Disk va300 1 1 GB 10GB va1500 2 2 GB 15 GB va4000 4 8 GB 45 GB The Product column represents the recommended configuration for the listed products. However, other factors, such as the projected processing volume for your project, might cause you to choose a different configuration for your Virtual Appliance. Later, if you determine that more or less resources are required for your project, you can configure a new virtual machine and run your project on that virtual machine. Specifying more than 8 GB of RAM for a va4000 might cause it to not start with a message stating that there is not enough disk space available. NOTE: You cannot edit the configuration settings of a cloned virtual machine. 4 Virtual Appliance User s Guide Cast Iron Integration Appliance

Working with Virtual Machines Creating a Virtual Machine Before you create a virtual machine, be sure you have reviewed the recommended configurations discussed in Recommended Configurations on page 4. Whether your Virtual Appliance uses a single-processor or multiple-processors is determined by the setting you choose while creating a virtual machine in the VMware Infrastructure Client. If you configure your virtual machine to support multiple processors, then the Virtual Appliance is enabled for multiple processors. If you configure your virtual machine to support a single processor, then the Virtual Appliance is restricted to just one processor. You can create virtual machines using ESX, ESXi, or VMware Server for development purposes. However, it is recommended that you use ESX or ESXi for production virtual machines. It is strongly recommended that you choose a multi-processor configuration for your virtual machines. NOTE: VMware does not allow the virtual machine to be multi-processor if the host machine is uni-processor. To create a virtual machine: 1. Log into the VMware Infrastructure Client. The Hosts and Clusters directory displays in the navigation pane. 2. Expand the Hosts and Clusters directory and locate the host machine that will host your new virtual machine. NOTE: You must have the appropriate privileges to access the host machines. For more information about permissions, see VMware documentation. 3. Create a new virtual machine by completing one of the following tasks: Right-click the host machine and select New Virtual Machine. In the Getting Started tab, click the Create a New Virtual Machine link. In the navigation pane, select the host machine and type CNTL + N. With the host machine selected, select New Virtual Machine from the File menu. The New Virtual Machine Wizard displays. 4. Choose the Typical virtual machine configuration and click Next. 5. Enter a name for the virtual machine you are creating and click Next. 6. Select the datastore/host, where files for the virtual machine will be stored and click Next. 7. Working with Virtual Machines a. Choose the Linux radio button. b. Select Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (32-bit) from the drop-down list. c. Click Next. 8. Specify the number of virtual processors (CPUs) for the virtual machine: 1, 2, or 4 and click Next. NOTE: VMware does not allow the virtual machine to be multi-processor if the host machine is uni-processor. NOTE: For recommended configurations for your virtual machine, see Table 2-1. 9. Specify the amount of memory to allocate to the virtual machine and click Next. NOTE: For recommended configurations for your virtual machine, see Table 2-1. 10. Create network connections: a. Specify 2 NICs. b. Accept the default values for the Network, Adapter, and Connect at Power On parameters. c. Click Next. 11. Set the disk size for your configuration and click Next. NOTE: For recommended configurations for your virtual machine, see Table 2-1. 12. Verify the settings for your new virtual machine and click Finish. Working with Virtual Machines Installing CIOS onto a Virtual Machine After you create a virtual machine, you can install the Cast Iron Operating System (CIOS) onto the virtual machine. With the CIOS installed, the virtual machine becomes a Virtual Appliance (va). You can manage a va through the Web Management Console (WMC). The installation process involves the following tasks: Placing the CIOS ISO onto a Virtual Machine, 7 Installing the Content of the CIOS ISO onto the Virtual Machine, 8 Configure Using DHCP Addressing, 9 Configure Using Static Addressing, 10 Setting the va Virtual Identity and Installing va Licenses, 12 Placing the CIOS ISO onto a Virtual Machine After you create a virtual machine, place the CIOS ISO onto the virtual machine to begin the Virtual Appliance installation process. To place the CIOS ISO onto a virtual machine: 1. Download a local copy of the CIOS ISO file. It is recommended that you download the ISO from Cast Iron Systems to a storage device that is accessible by the host machine, where the virtual machine will reside. 2. In the VMware Infrastructure Client navigation pane, select the virtual machine on which to install the CIOS. 3. Open the Virtual Machine Properties window by completing one of the following tasks: Right-click the host machine and select Edit Settings... In the Getting Started tab, click the Edit Virtual Machine Settings link. 4. In the Hardware tab, select Floppy Drive 1 and click Remove. The hardware setting displays in the Hardware tab with a line drawn through it. 5. In the Hardware tab, select CD/DVD Drive 1. The Device Type options display: a. Select the Datastore ISO file option. b. Specify the location of the CIOS ISO file or click Browse... to find the location of the ISO file. c. Select the Connect at Power On option. Working with Virtual Machines 6. Select the Options tab. 7. Select the VMware Tools setting. Advanced options display. 8. Select the Synchronize Guest Time with Host option. 9. Click OK. The Virtual Machine Properties window closes and the CIOS ISO is available on the virtual machine. Installing the Content of the CIOS ISO onto the Virtual Machine You have just placed the CIOS ISO onto the virtual machine. When you install the contents of the CIOS ISO on the virtual machine, you transform the virtual machine into a Virtual Appliance. To install the CIOS ISO content: 1. In the VMware Infrastructure Client, power on the virtual machine by completing one of the following tasks: Right-click the host machine and select Power On. In the Getting Started tab, click the Power On the Virtual Machine link. In the navigation pane, select the host machine and type CNTL + B. Click the Power On icon on the VMware Infrastructure Client toolbar. You can view status in the Recent Tasks pane of the VMware Infrastructure Client. 2. Select the Console tab. The virtual machine prompt displays: localhost\login: 3. At the login prompt, type install. The Cast Iron Image Installation wizard displays. 4. Type 1 to initiate the Installation option. The Installation window displays. 5. Type 2 to initiate a fresh install of CIOS. The Confirmation window displays. 6. Choose Yes and press Enter. The Installation window displays the progress of the install. The installation of the CIOS is complete when you see the following message: WARNING: No license found. Working with Virtual Machines 8. Type 5 to complete the install. The main menu of the Cast Iron Image Installation Wizard displays. 9. Type 4 to exit the wizard. 10. Choose Yes and press Enter to reboot the Virtual Appliance. A reboot confirmation window displays. 11. Press Enter. The Virtual Appliance reboots. When the reboot is complete, the Cast Iron Integration Appliance prompt displays: localhost login: Configure Using DHCP Addressing To configure a virtual machine in a network that uses a DHCP server for addressing: 1. Using the virtual machine console, log in to the virtual machine with the default user name and password. localhost login: admin Password:!n0r1t5@C NOTE: While performing this procedure, you can ignore the following warning: ==> WARNING: This Integration Appliance isn t licensed! 2. Assign the host name and IP address in the DNS server for the following interfaces: Host name and IP address for the data interface Host name and IP address for the management interface 3. Enter the following settings: MAC address for the data interface Hostname assigned to the data interface in the DNS server MAC address for the management interface Hostname assigned to the management interface in the DNS server Hostname assigned to the BMC interface in the DNS server 4. Apply the network settings. localhost> net restart 5. Working with Virtual Machines As the network settings are applied, the Network status transitions through the following states: Up Stopping Starting Up 6. Monitor the state of the network. loclhost> net show status The network settings have been applied when status of the Current activity lists Monitoring network. 7. Verify the data and management interface network settings, using the following command: localhost> net show active Reset any address that is incorrect. If you run net show all, EData will display as disabled. 8. Verify the connection to the management interface using the WMC. Configure Using Static Addressing To configure a virtual machine in a network that uses static addressing: 1. Log in to the virtual machine console. localhost login: admin Password:!n0r1t5@C The following prompt displays: localhost> NOTE: Whiie performing this procedure, you can ignore the following warning: ==> WARNING: This Integration Appliance isn t licensed! 2. Assign the host name and IP address in the DNS server for the following interfaces: Host name and IP address for the data interface Host name and IP address for the management interface 3. Set the network address for the data interface. hostname> net set interface edata address ip-address mask netmask bcast broadcast 7. Set the network address for the management interface. hostname> net set interface emgmt address ip-address mask netmask bcast broadcast 8. Set the gateway address. hostname> net set gateway static ip-address emgmt 9. Disable searching the domain list: hostname> net set search none 10. Set the Network timeserver to the appropriate setting for your environment: If you have a timeserver on your network: hostname> net set ntp static ntp-address If you do not have a timeserver on your network: hostname> net set ntp none 11. Review the settings. hostname> net show memory 12. Apply the network settings. hostname> net restart 13. Monitor the status of the system, by repetitively issuing the following command: hostname> system show status As the network settings are applied, the Network status transitions through the following states: Up Stopping Starting Up 14. Setting the va Virtual Identity and Installing va Licenses After you install the CIOS onto the virtual machine, you must set the virtual identity so that the Virtual Appliance (va) can retrieve the CIOS license from the Cast Iron Licensing Server. Installing CIOS license requires connectivity with the Internet and that port 443 be open if your host machine is behind a firewall. If you plan to run the virtual appliance in production mode behind the firewall and have connectivity with the Internet, contact Cast Iron support. After you set the virtual identity of the va, any clones you create from this va maintain the same virtual identity. However, the license of the cloned va differs from the license of the original va. For more information about cloning vas, see Cloning a Virtual Appliance on page 15. To set the virtual identity and install the CIOS license: 1. In the Console tab of the VMware Infrastructure Client, enter your login name at the Cast Iron Integration Appliance prompt. For example: localhost login: admin 2. Enter the password: Password:!n0r1t5@C The command prompt changes to <localhost>/standalone> Because the Virtual Appliance does not have a static hostname, the login prompt is slightly different from the login prompt you see on a hardware Integration Appliance. NOTE: While performing this procedure, you can ignore the following warning: ==> WARNING: This Integration Appliance isn t licensed! 12 Virtual Appliance User s Guide Cast Iron Integration Appliance

Set the Virtual Appliance virtual identity, which you received from Cast Iron Systems, by typing the following command at the command prompt: mgmt virtualidentity set <virtual identity> where: <virtual identity> is the virtual identity provided to you by Cast Iron. 4. Reboot the Virtual Appliance. system reboot Upon startup, the Integration Appliance automatically retrieves license(s) from the Cast Iron Licensing Server and you should no longer see the warning messages about the Integration Appliance not being licensed. 5. When the login prompt displays, enter your login and password. For example: admin/!n0r1t5@c. 6. Confirm the Virtual Appliance is licensed by typing the following command at the command prompt: system show license When you see the message, Licensed for Standalone Additional features:, the Virtual Appliance is now licensed and ready to run deployed projects. Manually Downloading Licenses You can manually download licenses should your licenses not be downloaded automatically when setting the virtual identity. Perform the following procedure to download licenses from the Cast Iron Licensing Server: 1. Login to the WMC. 2. Select Manually Download. 3. Select Download... The File Download window displays. NOTE: If Internet Explorer security settings are set to High, a Security Alert window with an error message might display. Enable File Download in Internet Explorer and then proceed. 4. Click Save. The Save As window displays. 5. Specify the location to download the license file. For example, the Desktop. Take note of the file name and location. 6. Click Save. The Cast Iron licensing server downloads the file(s) to the specified location and the Save As window closes. 7. In the WMC Wizard, click Browse... to specify the location of the downloaded license file. The File Upload window displays. 8. Locate the license file and click Open. The File Upload window closes. Working with Virtual Machines Cloning a Virtual Appliance Using the VMware Infrastructure Client, you can clone an existing virtual machine. Each clone has the same configurations, CIOS version, and virtual identity as the original virtual machine. Therefore, cloning a virtual machine allows you to increase the number of virtual machines on the host, without having to configure and install each virtual machine separately. You are limited to the number of clones in the agreement that you signed with Cast Iron. When you clone a virtual machine, the same virtual identity is used for the clone. Each virtual identity is allowed a limited number of clones, and each clone receives an individual serial number which requires the clone to have its own license. Therefore, you must ensure that the clone has Internet connectivity so that, when the clone becomes active, it can connect to the Cast Iron Licensing Server and obtain a license. Copying a virtual machine from one host machine to another host machine might invalidate the license because the serial number is generated based on the host machine hardware. Using VMotion to move the Virtual Appliance from one host machine to another can prevent an invalid license. You cannot edit the configuration settings of a cloned virtual machine. To create a virtual machine that uses different configuration settings, you must create a new virtual machine. For more information about virtual machine configuration settings, see Recommended Configurations on page 4. To clone a virtual machine: 1. Power off the virtual machine that you are cloning, by completing one of the following tasks: Right-click the host machine and select Power Off. In the Getting Started tab, click the Power Off the Virtual Machine link. In the navigation pane, select the host machine and type CNTL + E. Click the Power Off icon on the VMware Infrastructure Client toolbar. You can view status in the Recent Tasks pane of the VMware Infrastructure Client. 2. In the VMware Infrastructure Client navigation pane, select the virtual machine that you are cloning. 3. Right-click the virtual machine and select Clone.... The Clone Virtual Machine Wizard displays. 4. Enter a name for your new virtual machine and click Next. The Select the Host or Cluster page displays. Working with Virtual Machines 5. Select the host or cluster where the virtual machine is to reside and click Next. The Select a Resource Pool page displays. 6. If appropriate, select the resource pool from which the virtual machine is available and click Next. The Choose a Datastore for the Virtual Machine page displays. 7. Select the appropriate datastore for the virtual machine and click Next. The Select Guest Customization Option page displays. 8. Select the Do Not Customize option and click Next. The Ready to Complete New Virtual Machine page displays. 9. Verify the settings for the new virtual machine. 10. Select the Power On This Virtual Machine After Creation option. NOTE: Ignore the following warning: Creation of the virtual machine does not include any automatic installation of the guest operating system. You will need to install the guest OS just as you would on a new physical computer. The virtual machine will have the CIOS image installed. 11. Workaround: The Virtual Appliance has successfully shut down, even though the VMware Infrastructure Client displays the Power Off menu option. Use a template to efficiently replicate Virtual Appliances with the same virtual machine and Virtual Appliance configuration settings. After you install the CIOS onto the virtual machine, you use the WMC to define users and groups for the Virtual Appliance. When you convert the Virtual Appliance into a template, the template replicates Virtual Appliances with the same virtual machine configuration and all the same defined users and groups. For more information about virtual machine configurations, see Recommended Configurations on page 4. Templates can also be a backup of your Virtual Appliance. When you convert a Virtual Appliance to a template, you can no longer edit the configuration settings for that Virtual Appliance. However, you can revert a template back into a working Virtual Appliance. Use the VMware Infrastructure Client to convert a Virtual Appliance into a template. NOTE: Once you convert a Virtual Appliance into a template, you can no longer run Cast Iron integration projects on it. Working with Templates Creating Templates All clones created from the template you create are an exact replica of the template. This includes the virtual machine configuration and all Virtual Appliance configurations. Any projects that were published to the template, orchestration monitoring logs and system logs are also passed on from the template to the clone. To create a template: 1. In the VMware Infrastructure Client, select a Virtual Appliance. 2. Power off the Virtual Appliance by completing one of the following tasks: Right-click the host machine and select Power Off. In the Getting Started tab, click the Power Off the Virtual Machine link. In the navigation pane, select the host machine and type CNTL + E. Click the Power Off icon on the VMware Infrastructure Client toolbar. You can view status in the Recent Tasks pane of the VMware Infrastructure Client. 3. Right-click the Virtual Appliance and select the Convert to Template... menu option. NOTE: If your Virtual Appliance was part of a resource pool, the Virtual Appliance no longer displays in the navigation pane of the VMware Infrastructure Client. For more information about viewing templates, see Viewing Templates on page 21. The Virtual Appliance is now a template and remains powered off to prevent any changes. Working with Templates Viewing Templates View all templates that you create with the VMware Infrastructure Client. In some cases, when you convert a virtual machine to a template, the virtual machine is no longer visible in the navigation pane. The virtual machine that you converted into a template is viewable from another location in the VMware Infrastructure Client. To view the template 1. In the VMware Infrastructure Client navigation pane, select the host where the template resides. 2. Select the Virtual Machine tab. All Virtual Appliances and their states display. Working with Templates Converting a Template into a Virtual Appliance When you convert a Virtual Appliance into a template, no further changes can be made to the configuration settings and the Virtual Appliance cannot run any projects. However, you can revert the template back into a Virtual Appliance. Once you convert the template back into a Virtual Appliance, the Virtual Appliance can run projects again. To convert a template into a Virtual Appliance 1. Select your Virtual Appliance. If you do not see your Virtual Appliance in the navigation pane: a. Select the host where the template resides. b. Select the Virtual Machine tab. 2. Right-click the Virtual Appliance. 3. Select the Convert to Virtual Machine... menu option. The Convert Template to Virtual Machine wizard displays. 4. Select the host or cluster where the Virtual Appliance is to reside and click Next. If you selected a host, skip to step 6. If you selected a cluster, the Specify a Specific Host page displays. 5. Select the host where the Virtual Appliance is to reside and click Next. The Select a Resource Pool page displays. 6. If appropriate, select the resource pool where the Virtual Appliance is to reside and click Next. The Ready to Complete New Virtual Machine page displays. NOTE: The following warning displays at the bottom of the page: Creation of the virtual machine does not include any automatic installation of the guest operating system. You will need to install the guest OS just as you would on a new physical computer. You can ignore this warning. If the CIOS was installed on the template, then the CIOS will be installed on the Virtual Appliance when you convert the template. 7. Verify your settings and click Finish. For more information about VMware Consolidated Backup, see the VMware Consolidated Backup Guide. Backing Up and Recovering a Virtual Appliance Exporting a Virtual Appliance Repository Export the project repository to create a backup of the Virtual Appliance. You can export all project configuration and user settings, which includes: network configurations, users and groups, licenses, job log parameters, log levels, notifications, downtime rules and passwords, from the WMC to another location. The Virtual Appliance system logs are not exported when you export a repository. You can export a repository with the project configurations running. However, when you import this repository, the project configurations will all be in the undeployed state. To export a repository using the WMC: 1. From the Deploy tab, select Export Repository. The File Download window displays. 2. Click Save. The Save As window displays. 3. Specify the location where you would like to save the exported repository. 4. Click Save. Backing Up and Recovering a Virtual Appliance Importing a Virtual Appliance Repository When you import a repository, the WMC deletes all existing projects, project configurations, and job history. The Virtual Appliance system logs remain unaffected, when you import a repository. Once you have imported a repository, you cannot roll back to a previous repository. Therefore, it is recommended that you export the existing repository before importing another repository. You must stop and undeploy all project configurations on the WMC, before you can import a repository. When the WMC successfully imports a repository, all the project configurations are in the undeployed state. You can import repositories from CIOS version 3.7.1 to 4.x. To import a repository using the WMC: 1. From the Deploy tab, select Projects. All project configurations display. 2. Verify that all the project configurations are undeployed. 3. If any project is not in the undeployed state, click the project configuration link and stop and undeploy the project configuration. 4. From the Deploy tab, select Import Repository. The Import Repository page displays. 5. Specify the repository file you want to import or click Browse... to search for a repository file. 6. Select one of the following import options: Project & User Settings - Imports all the contents of the repository file you select. All projects are imported in the undeployed state. Project Only - Imports only project information from the repository file you select. All projects are imported in the undeployed state. User Settings Only - Imports only the user setting information from the repository file you select. User setting information includes: network configurations, users and groups, licenses, job log parameters, log levels, notifications, downtime rules and passwords. 7. Click Import. Warning displays. 8. Click Import to verify that you would like to proceed with the import. The Virtual Appliance restarts and the WMC login window displays when the import is complete. 9. A Creating a Virtual Machine with VMware Server 1.0.5 You can use the VMware Server 1.0.5 to create a virtual machine and install the latest Cast Iron Operating System (CIOS). Creating a Virtual Machine The following procedure describes how to create a virtual machine using VMware Server 1.0.5. The virtual machine becomes a Virtual Appliance after you install the CIOS onto the virtual machine. To create a virtual machine: 1. From the VMWare Server Console, select the following menu options: File > New > Virtual Machine The New Virtual Machine Wizard displays. 2. Click Next. The Set the Appropriate Configuration screen displays. 3. Select the Typical virtual machine configuration. 4. Click Next. The Set the Guest Operating System screen displays. a. For the Guest Operating System, select Linux. b. For the Version, select Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. 5. Click Next. The Name the Virtual Machine screen displays. a. Specify a name and location. 6. Click Next. The Network Type screen displays. a. For the Network Connection, select Use network address translation (NAT). 7. Click Next. The Specify Disk Capacity screen displays. a. Specify sizing parameters. For more information about specifying disk capacity sizing, see Recommended Configurations, 4. b. Select the Allocate all disk space now option. 8. Installing the Latest CIOS onto the Virtual Machine After you have created a virtual machine, you can install the latest CIOS; thus, the virtual machine becomes a Virtual Appliance. To install the latest CIOS: 1. In the VMWare Server Console, select the Virtual Machines tab to view the status of the new virtual machine. 2. Right-click the virtual machine and select Edit virtual machine settings. The Virtual Machine Settings window displays. a. Adjust the memory. For more information about specifying disk capacity sizing, see Recommended Configurations, 4. 3. Add a second Network Interface. a. Click Add. The Add Hardware Wizard displays. b. Click Next. The Hardware Type screen displays. c. Choose Ethernet Adapter. d. Click Next. The Network Type screen displays. e. For Network Connection, select NAT Used to share the host s IP address. f. Click Finish. The Virtual Machine Settings window displays. 4. Configure the CD ROM. a. In the Hardware tab, select CD-ROM. b. In the Connection section, select Use ISO image and click Browse. The Windows directory explorer displays. c. Navigate to the location of the latest CIOS ISO and select it. d. Click Open. The Virtual Machine Settings window displays with CD- ROM still selected under the Hardware tab. e. Under the Virtual device node option, select IDE. f. Click on the drop-down and select IDE 0:0. g. Click OK to dismiss the Virtual Machine Settings window. 5. Click the Start this virtual machine link. The VM boots from the CD-ROM, powers up, and provide a login prompt. 6. 7. Use the Cast Iron Installation Wizard to install the CIOS. a. Type 1 to do an installation. b. Type 1 for a fresh installation. c. Type y to confirm your selection. d. Meditate for 10 minutes. e. When prompted, press any key to continue. f. Type 3 to indicate you are done with this submenu. g. Type 4 to choose Exit and Reboot. h. Type y to confirm your selection. i. When prompted, press any key to continue. 8. When the Virtual Appliance reboots, set up the virtual identity.
