GEMINI CDMP-2700 VIRTUALDJ CONFIGURATION * If you plan to connect multiple CDMP-2700s in MIDI mode it is recommended that you use a USB hub. Before starting, please ensure you have the following: Virtual DJ MIDI and HID device profile Virtual DJ MIDI and HID mapping file Gemini ASIO setup executable (for PC only) AUDIO ROUTING (PC): 1. Prior to opening VirtualDJ, install the included Gemini ASIO drivers by running the setup executable. 2. After installing the Gemini ASIO drivers, plug-in your device and switch to MIDI mode. 3. Start VirtualDJ and enter the CONFIGURATION menu by clicking the config tab at the top (pictured right). 4. The SOUND SETUP tab is where you can choose your desired audio settings. To setup a single output (pictured right): Under output select SINGLE OUTPUT the SoundCard, choose GeminiASIO. To setup dual outputs with one output used for headphones (pictured right): Under output select HEADPHONES (i.e. 3/4 - Master, 1/2 - Headphones) the SoundCard, choose GeminiASIO.
To setup dual outputs for use with an external mixer (pictured right): Under output select EXTERNAL MIXER the output, select the output orientation (i.e. 3/4 - Deck L, 1/2 - Deck R) the SoundCard, choose GeminiASIO. 5. After selecting you output type, click the ASIO Config button to open the configuration panel. This adjusts the two outputs (for either Headphones or External Mixer setup) and assigns the outputs to either the Left set of RCA outputs or Right set of RCA outputs on the CDMP-2700. 6. Set the ASIO Buffer Length to the smallest value possible to decrease latency. The buffer length is dependent upon your computer s specifications. If you are having audio glitching or skipping, increase the buffer length to ease the CPU load and alleviate glitching and skipping. AUDIO ROUTING (MAC): 1. Plug-in your device and switch to MIDI mode. 2. Start VirtualDJ and enter the CONFIGURATION menu by clicking the config tab at the top (pictured right). 3. To setup dual outputs with one output used for headphones (pictured right): Under output select HEADPHONES (i.e. 3/4 - Master, 1/2 Headphones) Under SoundCard select 2 CARDS In the drop-down menus to the right of the SoundCard, choose the CDMP-2700 outputs (L and R) depending on what orientation you have hooked up. MIDI ROUTING (PC/MAC): To setup the MIDI maps for the CDMP-2700: 1. Place the MIDI and HID device files in VirtualDJ s Devices folder. On PC, this should be found in: My Documents -> VirtualDJ -> Devices. On Mac, this should be found in: Documents -> VirtualDJ -> Devices. 2. Place the MIDI and HID mapping files in VirtualDJ s Mappings folder. On PC, this should be found in: My Documents -> VirtualDJ -> Mappings. On Mac, this should be found in: Documents -> VirtualDJ -> Mappings.
3. Start VirtualDJ and enter the CONFIGURATION menu by clicking the config tab at the top (pictured right). 4. The MAPPERS tab is where you can choose your mapping file. Click the icon next to the mapping drop-down menu (pictured right). Unclick either MIDI or HID devices to use the CDMP-2700 NOTE: It is recommened to use the HID device profile for fastest response. 5. Click the icon next to the mapping drop-down menu (pictured right) and assign the decks on the CDMP-2700 to the decks of VirtualDJ.
