ADSL2+ BEC Modem/Routers are fully compliant with worldwide ADSL standards including ADSL2+ and Annex M for greater reach and enhanced bandwidth. ADSL2+ / FTTH The BEC 7800TN R2 is an all in one Telco grade ADSL2+ / FTTH Multi-service gateway that offers service providers the flexibility of delivering multiple IP services over both DSL copper and Fiber. The BEC 7800TN R2 series uses a Dual-WAN approach with an ADSL2+ interface and a separate, dedicated EWAN (Ethernet WAN) interface that offers broadband connectivity options behind FTTH ONTs (optical network terminals).this unique feature allows service providers to preserve their existing equipment investment when fiber becomes available. Service providers can easily leverage the additional bandwidth to add services and applications such as High Definition IPTV services, OTT (Over- The-Top) video content without changing their customer premise equipment. Service providers will benefit from PTM (Packet Transfer Mode) over ADSL2+ support enabling additional bandwidth by minimizing overhead and advanced network routing features such as: IPv6, VLAN MUX, VLAN tagging and enhanced IGMP, all essential options for next generation service offerings. A Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall with automatic Denial of Service (DoS) provides protection against hackers/intrusions while Quality of Service (QoS) functionality allows traffic prioritization and bandwidth management for delay sensitive applications such as voice and video. With an integrated 802.11n Wireless Access Point, the gateway delivers fast wireless speeds and greater coverage to increase the subscriber experience. Wireless security includes: WEP 64/128 bit, WPA, WPA2 PSK, TKIP and AES, 802.1X, SSID broadcast disable, wireless MAC address filtering and Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) are supported to enhance the level of transmission security and access control over the Wireless LAN. If the network requires more access options and wider coverage, multiple SSID is supported and Wireless Distribution System (WDS) functionality allows users to expand the wireless network without the need for any external wires or cables.

VDSL2 - Triple Play Utilizing its high bandwidth and new features VDSL2 (Very high bit rate Digital Subscriber Line 2) is an ideal local loop access solution for telephone companies to expand their services on existing copper lines, especially when delivering multiple IP services and video services are planned. VDSL2 profiles which specify the subset of VDSL2 s capabilities are profiles 8a, 8b, 8c, and 8d use 8 Mhz to provide data rates up to 50 Mbps. Profiles 12a and 12b use 12 Mhz to provide bandwidths up to 60 Mbps. Profiles 17a (17 Mhz) and 30a (30 Mhz) provide bandwidths up to 100 Mbps. In a typical VDSL2 Profile 17a deployment, service providers are able to reach up to 3,000 feet with bandwidth up to 40Mbps. Cable Modems The DOCSIS 3.0 specification provides a number of enhancements including channel bonding, improved security, IPv6 support and the delivery of video over IP. The most notable enhancement, channel bonding, improves throughput 8x over DOCSIS 2.0 without any significant upgrades to the existing HFC network. Cable companies can more effectively compete with next generation broadband carriers providing a variety of revenue generation services through an always-on Internet connection such as: high-speed broadband Internet connectivity, IPTV, VoD, real-time interactive gaming and video conferencing. FTTH - Fiber to the Home FTTH (fiber to the home) is a form of fiber optic communication delivery in which the fiber extends from the central office to the subscriber s living or working space. Essentially, there are three fundamental architectures for delivering fiber directly to a subscriber: Passive Optical Network (PON), point-to-point (P2P) and switched (Active Ethernet). Active Ethernet uses optical Ethernet switches to distribute the signal, thus incorporating the customers premises and the central office into one giant switched Ethernet network. Once at the subscriber s premise, the signal may be conveyed throughout the premise using any means, including twisted pair, coaxial cable, wireless, power line communication or optical fiber. The BEC 9800 series of Single Family Unit (SFU) Active Ethernet ONTs are available for indoor (BEC 9800VN) and outdoor (BEC 9800VU) deployment. Both models support an optical Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) 100Base or 1000Base auto-sensing WAN interface, 4-port Gigabit Ethernet LAN interfaces, two FXS (VoIP) interfaces, compliant SIP interoperability with major softswitch vendors and management via HTTP, SNMP, TR-069 and BEC Central Management System. Just plug the BEC 2071 into any wall power socket, connect a Ethernet cable, and data signals are automatically transmitted through the power lines. The BEC 2071 can be used to bridge Ethernet devices such as: modems, routers, PCs, set-top-boxes, and game consoles, enabling users to share network access via existing in-home power lines. Once plugged into an Ethernet port on a router, the BEC 2071 allows any Ethernet connected device in the house to share Internet access. Home Networking HPNA 3.1 Compliant with the Industry Standard HomePNA 3.1 over Coax (ITU G. 9954) and supporting physical data rates up to 320Mbps. The BEC 2081 provides enough capacity to support bandwidth requirements of service providers as they enhance their offerings with additional features and capabilities. The BEC 2081 enables easy home networking over the existing coax wiring allowing Ethernet devices such as modems, routers, PCs, set-top-boxes, and game consoles to inter-connect and share network access. The BEC 2081 can coexist with other internet access solutions such as: analog telephone service, POTs, ISDN, ADSL/2/2+, VDSL/2, terrestrial and satellite TV. The BEC 2081 can extend HPNA connectivity up to 4,000 feet over RG59 wire and support up to 63 devices on a network.
