Mounting and Environment The electronic network control panel is designed for wall mounting. Panel should be installed in an electrical or mechanical equipment room. The unit should be mounted a minimum of 6 inches away from any other enclosure. Panel should not be exposed to the weather or used in an environment where humidity is condensing on it. Mount enclosure with door hinge on the left side. Verify that a minimum door swing clearance of 28 inches is provided. Panel Wiring Class 1 5-wire in conduit DALI wires 600V 120/277 VAC DALI Bus Connections The enclosure requires connection of 120VAC for the duplex receptacles. Receptacles are intended for powering the Busmaster interfaces and optional communication interface. Receptacles are not intended to power other equipment. Refer to table for power loading requirement. Class 2 The cavity in the middle of the enclosure is designed to house an optional interface to convert LAN Ethernet communications to serial RS-232. DALI bus wiring can be installed as either a Class 1 or Class 2 installation (reference drawings). Class 1 installation: Wiring for DALI Bus and AC load wiring in same conduit. Class 2 installation with the DALI bus wiring separated from AC load wiring. The DALI CONTROL PANEL is a complete DALI head-end panel enclosing CLIPSAL DCBM2-1608 intelligent real-time-clock schedulers, DALI (220 ma) power supplies plus DALI Serial interfaces, to support up to 4 DALI loops. Via the building Ethernet, the panels are connected to both individual users & administrators both building level overrides, automated sweeps and individual user level control of their assigned fixtures. Installation Instructions: When installing enclosure and making electrical connections it is important to follow all codes applicable to lighting control equipment. 1) See enclosure drawing for additional support information. 2) Locate area on wall to mount enclosure. 1. Panel dimension is (DCP-A) 24"x20"x6" with hinge door on left side. 2. Panel dimension is (DCP-B) 36"x24"x6" with hinge door on left side. 3) It is recommended that a minimum space of 8 inches is available between enclosure and other object (wall or other enclosure). 4) Position the enclosure with the door hinge on the left side. Fasten enclosure to wall using mounting holes located at each corner of the back enclosure. 5) Route all power (120V classified as Class One wiring) to the left side top of the enclosure that contains the circuit breaker. a. Feed 120VAC into the Class One wiring compartment. Connect 120VAC power to circuit breaker within enclosure according to National and Local Electrical Codes. i) Torque 120V Hot and Neutral Terminals to 21 lb-in ii) Torque Ground Terminal to 14 lb-in b. Identify DALI loops and connect them to the terminal blocks provided on each BusMaster. (Caution - DO NOT CONNECT 120VAC to the DALI terminal blocks) 6) Route the computer interface cable into the right side of the enclosure (classified as Class 2 wiring). a. Verify the proper computer interface is installed into the compartment on the right side of the enclosure. b. Verify the serial communication cables between the network interface and the BusMaster(s) are in place. 7) Connect network interface cable to the communications adaptor located in the compartment. 8) Check all wiring to make sure there are no loose connections. Make sure the enclosure is properly grounded (per code requirements). 9) Close enclosure door after completing the installation and wiring. Operation checklist: 1. Verify that 120VAC power is available to the outlets located in the enclosure. 2. Check that the green power LEDs on all AC/DC Transformers are illuminated. 3. Check that the green power LEDs on each BusMaster is illuminated. 4. Make sure that the power indicator of the Ethernet switch is illuminated. 5. Make sure that the power indicator of the computer interface (Moxa or BM2600) is illuminated. 6. To check enclosure functionally, refer to system operating and commissioning guides.
