1.756492.100 The Streetscape User Guide Overview Streetscape is a high-performance Web-based application for investment professionals which, through a powerful and an easy-to-use interface, provides instant access a variety of features, including account information dynamic market data research tools reporting capabilities, and investment planning tools. Depending on the entitlements of your particular Streetscape package, you may also have access to additional features, such as online trading of securities held in brokerage accounts the ability to initiate, view, and report on a variety of customer service needs additional market data and research features, and additional reporting capabilities. Organization of this User Guide This user guide is organized into separate, standalone sections, or modules. Because Streetscape is an entitlement-based application, this modular approach allows for the creation of a guide that is customized to your particular Streetscape package. This approach also enables you to quickly identify and access the information you need, when you need it. Most sections correspond to specific Streetscape menu items (e.g., Accounts, Market Data, Reports). Additional features that may not be available to all Streetscape users are either identified as an entitled feature by an asterisk (*), or covered in separate sections available to entitled Streetscape users. Overview The Streetscape User Guide This section provides a brief overview of Streetscape s organization and functionality, including how to perform basic tasks that can be used throughout the application. Secure Access SSL 3.0 (Secure Sockets Layer A protocol designed by Netscape Communications Corporation to provide secure communications on the Internet. A switch in your browser s configuration turns this on. User ID and PIN, which provide a direct link to the specific Streetscape features and brokerage accounts to which you are entitled. Logging In and Out Logging In To Log In To Streetscape 1. Enter your User ID and Personal Identification Number (PIN) in the appropriate fields. You have up to five attempts to enter the correct PIN. After the fifth failed attempt, your PIN becomes deactivated. If this happens, contact your Home Office to have your PIN reset. Click the Enter button. Result: The Brokerage Center Home page displays. Reference: For more information about Home page features, refer to the topic The Brokerage Center Home Page in this user guide. Logging Out You can log out of Streetscape from any location within the application using the Logout link on the navigation bar. To Log Out of Streetscape: 1. From the navigation bar, click the Logout link. 2. When prompted to confirm your action, click the Logout button to close the application. Note: For security reasons, it is recommended that you close your web browser when you have finished your online session. Timing Out When the application remains inactive for 4 hours, your online session is discontinued and a Session Time Out message displays: You may either log back in by clicking the Log Back In button OR log out using the procedure above. Site Organization and Navigation Streetscape Page Layout Below is a graphical representation of the Streetscape page layout. Your firm s logo Site Links Main Navigation Bar Left Navigation Menu Content Frame Quotes and Alerts Frame Main Navigation Frame The main navigation frame, which appears at the top of the application window, consists of the following three components: your company logo site links, and a series of main feature tabs, collectively known as the main navigation bar. 4 of 12 March 2001

Using the Main Navigation Bar Streetscape is organized as a series of menu tabs, or tiers that enable you to quickly access the information you need. LEVEL Main Navigation Tabs CONTENTS Collections of related Streetscape features, known as Centers. The Brokerage Center, shown in the previous example, contains features designed to help you perform a variety of brokerage activities, such as dynamically administering brokerage accounts and monitoring market activity. Depending on your Streetscape package, you may also have access to the following additional Centers: The Service Center, which contains tools for initiating, and reporting on various customer service needs The Business Center, which provides an online reference library of informational, marketing, and business-building tools. 1 st Tier Menu The main menu items within a Center. 2 nd Tier Menu All of the features available within selected menu item. 3 rd Tier (Left Navigation) Menu To access a feature using the main navigation bar When present, additional features available for the selected menu item. 1. From the main navigation menu, select the tab of the Center you want to access. Result: All of the 1 st tier menu items associated with the Center display. 2. From the 1 st tier menu, select a menu item. 3. From the 2 nd tier menu, select a feature. Result: Either the window associated with that feature displays, or additional items display in the left navigation menu. 4. If the left navigation menu displays, select the feature you want to open. Using the Site Links to Access Frequently-Used Features The links at the top right corner of the site contains enable you to access frequently-used features at any time. The table below describes these links. Using the Site Map to Directly Access a Feature The site map contains a hierarchical series of links that provide a quick reference to all available features within the selected Center. You can use the site map to link to that feature directly, rather than drilling down to the feature via the main navigation bar. To Use the Site Map 1. Use the information in the table below to determine the appropriate first step. IF YOU ARE STARTING FROM THEN the Brokerage Center main navigation bar the site links section at upper-right corner of the site select Support then Site Map. click the Site Map link Result: The site map for the selected Center displays, as shown below. 2. Click a link to go directly to that feature. Note: Your site map reflects only the features to which you have been entitled by your Home Office. Therefore, the features listed on your site map may vary from those shown in the above example. 6 of 12 March 2001

Changing Your PIN You can change your personal identification number (PIN) from within the application. Because your PIN identifies who you are, it ensures secure access to your brokerage accounts. To Change Your PIN 1. Use the information in the table below to determine the appropriate first step. IF YOU ARE STARTING FROM the Brokerage Center main navigation bar the site links section at upper-right corner of the site THEN select Support then User Options. click the User Options link Result: The Support Center opens in a separate browser window. Click the Change Pin link. Result: The Change PIN window displays. Enter your Old PIN. Enter a New PIN. Note: A PIN must be from four to 10 numeric characters long. 5. Re-enter your new PIN in the Retype New PIN box. 6. Click the Change PIN button. March 2001 7 of 12

Selecting an Account The first time you attempt to use an account-driven feature during a Streetscape session, Account Search window displays, prompting you to select an account. The account number you select will remain active for all account-driven features until you either select another account number or log out/time out of the application. Accessing the Account Search Window If you want to select another account (or subset of accounts) at some point in your Streetscape session, you can access the Account Search feature either from the main menu bar or via a link on most of the account-driven features, as described below. To access the Account Search window IF YOU ARE STARTING FROM THEN the Brokerage Center main menu select Accounts then Account Info, and from the left navigation menu, select Account Search. an account-driven feature click on the account search link. You may select an account by either entering the account number, or locating the account number using one or more search criteria. Once an account (or list of accounts) has been returned, it can be retrieved from the Selected Account drop down list at a later time in the online session. Entering an Account Number To Enter an Account Number 1. When the Account Search window displays, enter the nine-digit brokerage account number in the blank cell. 2. Either click the Search button OR press Enter. Result: The account information then populates the window of the feature you originally selected. 8 of 12 March 2001

After you have entered an account number, it will be available from the Select Account drop-down (which displays on a variety of account-driven feature windows) for the remainder of the current online session. Searching for an Account The Account Search feature is accessible both from the main menu bar and via a link on most of the account-based features. To Search for an Account: 1. From the Account Search window, select one of the following Search by: criteria: Account ShortName Social Security Number/Tax Identification Number (SSN/TIN) Branch Prefix Product Level Class Code Registered Representative ID (RR) Agency Registered Representative 2 ID (RR2) (Market) Symbol CUSIP Number Net Worth Available Cash 2. Select a search operand (which compares the Search by criterion you selected to the values contained in your data to locate matches) from the drop down. Note: If You may enter partial information for any criterion that supports the Starts With operand. Examples If you elect to search by Symbol Equal To and enter the security symbol as your criterion, the search will return all accounts with positions held in that security. If you elect to search by Shortname Starts With and enter Ba as your criterion, the search will return all accounts whose last name begins with those letters ( Baker1, Baker2, Bates1, etc.) 3. Click the Search button to retrieve all records matching the criterion you specified. If your search generates more than the maximum limit of 2,000 matching records, it will stop and request that you enter different criteria or values to further narrow your search. Result: Along with the total number of records retrieved and the number of pages containing the records, the following fields display for each record: Account# Last name Short Name SSN/TIN March 2001 9 of 12

Registration Net Worth 4. Click the Account number link for the Account you want to retrieve. Result: The information for the account populates feature you originally selected. The entire list returned by your account search will available from the Selected Account drop-down for the current online session, until you perform another account search 10 of 12 March 2001

Looking Up a Symbol The Symbol Lookup feature enables you to search for any of the following security types by CUSIP number, name, or symbol: corporate bonds equities government indices mutual funds unit investment trusts (UITs) The Symbol Lookup feature is available via several links throughout the application. To look up a symbol 1. Click the Symbol Lookup link. Result: The Symbol Lookup window displays. 2. From the Search by drop-down list, select the search method you want to use to look up the symbol: CUSIP Name, or Symbol. 3. In the for box, enter as much information as you know about the security based on the Search by characteristic you selected. 4. Click the Search button to retrieve all matches for the criterion you specified. Result: Matches display in alphabetical order by Symbol. 5. Click the link that corresponds to the symbol you want to use. Result: The symbol is copied back to the feature you originally selected. March 2001 11 of 12

Using Online Help The online Help feature provides easy access to information on how to use the various Streetscape features. Using Context-Sensitive Help Topics The context-sensitive help feature provides access to help topics that are specific to the feature you are currently using. To access context-sensitive Help IF YOU ARE STARTING FROM the site links at the upper-right corner of the site the Brokerage Center main navigation bar the Quotes and Alerts frame. THEN Click the Help link. select the Support tab then the Help tab. click the? icon at the upper-right corner of the frame. Result: The Support Center opens in a separate browser window, and the Help topic(s) specific to the feature you are currently using display(s). Using Application Help The application help contains a hierarchical series of links corresponding to features in the application. Unlike the site map, from which you can link to the features within the selected Center only, the links in the application help window provide access to help topics associated with those features. To access application help 1. Access the context-sensitive Help as described above. 2. Click the Support Center Help tab. Result: A hierarchical series of links, representing all of the features to which you have access, displays. 3. Click a link to view a help topic for that feature. Result: The Support Center opens in a separate browser window, and the Help topic(s) specific to the feature you are currently using display(s). Printing a Help Topic To print a Help topic Click the Print icon on the toolbar of the Support Center browser window. Exiting Help To exit Help click the Back icon on the toolbar of the Support Center browser window. OR click the Close Window link at the upper right corner of the Help window. 12 of 12 March 2001
