Release Notes: My DigitalGlobe (DGCS) v. 2017.Q4.R1 Updates to the User Guides Some sections of the User Guides have been reorganized to improve on the integration of new content. Some users may need to update bookmarked links. Updates to the Login Page You will now see a newly designed login page. Updates to the Side Panel A new Dashboard button in the side panel displays your Places. Within this pane you can quickly access items and share them with other users on your account or delete them. You can also now share and delete Places in the Places pane. Updates to the Settings Pane In the Settings Pane in the side panel you can now select the default time in the image metadata section to be displayed as Zulu Time or Time Zone. You can easily toggle between the two options. The Time Zone dropdown defaults to your browser's time zone setting. Known Issues In rotate image mode, insets in snapshots are exported but the magnified image does not render properly. My DigitalGlobe (DGCS) and SecureWatch v. 2017.Q3.R2 Updates to Stacking Profile Basemap users with access to +Metro and Vivid layers now have a new stacking profile available, Most Aesthetic Mosaic. This profile will place +Metro imagery on top sorted by currency, then Vivid imagery sorted by currency, and then images from the Daily Take sorted by cloud cover and then currency.

Updates to Military Symbology You can now enter coordinates in the Military pane of the Annotations tab to place military symbology in the viewport. Symbology will also maintain its location during image rotation. Changes to Graphic Enhancement Graphic Enhancement is now called Rotate Image in the With Selected menu of the Carousel, and allows the user to zoom, pan, and rotate a single image. Updates to Advanced Search You can now search the entire archive in Advanced Search over your AOI, and the performance speed for loading archive browse images has been enhanced. A Filter Catalog button has been added to the Carousel and Advanced Search next to the Filter button to enable you to quickly switch between viewing online content and archive imagery. Filter Enhancements Basemap subscribers can now select the Aesthetic Quality filter to choose image currency over quality without contacting DigitalGlobe Technical Support. When you apply new settings in the Filters window, your settings will be saved and will persist from session to session until you reset them. If you have the Basemap Standard theme applied to your account, resetting the filter selections returns filters to your preset selections. Catalog has been removed from the Filter window and replaced with the new Filter Catalog button in the carousel menu for easy access. Updates to Annotation Tools The Magnifying Glass tool is now available in the Annotations tools menu to allow you to create a magnified inset of your AOI. Insets are saved as an annotation type and can be exported with snapshots. Update to Metadata Image metadata now displays actual Ground Sample Distance (GSD) rather than sensor standard values. Library Enhancements For SecureWatch users with a gigabyte limit on the contract, archive images delivered to your library will now request your acceptance before the image can be downloaded. When you select the Lock icon in the library, a message in your library will display the amount that will be decremented from your gigabyte allowance and you can decide whether or not to accept. Updates to Ordering SecureWatch users now have the ability to order ACOMP archive imagery for ortho natural color. The ACOMP option reduces clouds and haze over the imagery. SecureWatch users with archive ordering privileges will now be able to order orthorectified 8-band pan-sharpened VNIR imagery for delivery to the library or carousel. 2

SecureWatch users with archive ordering privileges will now be able to order basic and orthorectified 8-band SWIR imagery for delivery to the library or carousel. Human Landscape SecureWatch users now have the Human Landscape feature available in the side panel to enable the delivery of Human Geography Information Survey (HGIS) data sets for use in the viewport. Complete Human Landscape datasets are available for purchase; contact DigitalGlobe Defense & Intelligence Programs to learn more. SecureWatch Sites SecureWatch subscribers now have access to SecureWatch Sites monitoring service imagery. Premium monitoring packages are available; contact DigitalGlobe Defense & Intelligence Programs for more information. Note: for more information on the above features, please see the User Guide document via the link on the login page or in the Help menu. An issue with MGRS codes not working for Australia has been fixed. The MGRS code field now allows spaces in MGRS coordinates. SecureWatch users will now see correct image sizes displayed when unlocking images in the library. Known Issues For SecureWatch users, Human Landscape layers are not included in snapshots in the Internet Explorer browser. Chrome and FireFox do not have this issue. In rotate image mode, insets in snapshots are exported but the magnified image does not render properly. DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2017.Q3.R1 Order New Collects If your account has access, you can now order new collects through the online web portal. Updates to Filters Komsat 5 (KS5) is now available in the Source selections under Filters in the carousel. 3

Updates to the Library If your contract has a gigabyte limit, you will now have the ability to see what your account will be charged before downloading from the library. Updates to Archive Ordering If you have archive ordering capabilities you can filter for stereo pairs, display them in the carousel, and order triangulated stereo products for delivery to your Library. Updates to Coordinate Grids You can now customize the style of coordinate grids (Latitude/Longitude and MGRS) in the Settings pane of the side panel. Updates to Graphic Enhancement In Graphic Enhancement Mode (rotate image), you can now pan and zoom when you are working with a single image strip or mosaic. Changes to Supplemental Layers The Supplemental Layers menu has been moved from the top menu in the viewport to the side panel in the Layers tab. Supplemental Layers now supports WMTS and WFS endpoints. Additionally, you can include WFS layers in snapshots. Some users will also have access to Human Landscape layers depending on your account permissions. Note: for more information on the above features, please see the User Guide document via the link on the login page or in the Help menu. An issue with imagery being deselected rather than removed from a project when filters are applied has been fixed. Filter parameters will now apply when editing a project. When you enable Show Thumbnails in the carousel they will now display until you disable them or until you log out. An issue that prevented successful search results for MGRS search strings that contain spaces has been fixed. An issue with coordinates and MGRS in Australia has been fixed. 4

DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2017.Q2.R1 View Account Name The account you belong to is now displayed next to your user name in the viewport. If you have more than one account, you can click the account name to display a dropdown to select a different account. Updates to the Side Panel The Annotations, Military Symbology, and Grid tools have been consolidated into the side panel in the viewport. These tools are described in detail in the Analysis Tools section of the User Guide. Updates to Account Usage If your account is associated with a contract that has a data limit, you will be switched to view-only once the limit is reached. For contracts with a usage limit, all downloads to the library will be treated as a GeoTIFF (compressed) file size regardless of the file format selected. Usage reporting for these contracts has now been updated accordingly. Changes to Download Options GeoTIFF (compressed) with JPEG compression now replaces Uncompressed GeoTiff as an option for file downloads. Library Updates AOI shapefiles are now included with all library requests. This shapefile indicates the detailed metadata for your Area Of Interest. SecureWatch User Guide The SecureWatch User Guide provides further details on all features and is now available online via the User Guide link on the login page and the User Guide link in the Help menu after you log in. Use the link to open the DigitalGlobe Cloud Services Documentation Portal in Readme.io and select the User Guides link on the portal page. Expand the SecureWatch User Guide in the left menu. The online version replaces the PDF version of the User Guide and allows you to suggest edits or request clarifications. Updates to Filters (SecureWatch Only) SecureWatch users will now be able to select new data sources in the Catalog menu of the Filters dialog. A new stacking profile has been added for SecureWatch users which will be your assigned profile. Enable Spot Elevation, Terrain Contour and Terrain Hill Shading (SecureWatch Only) At zoom levels 13 and closer, you can use the features Show Terrain Contour and Show Terrain Hill Shading in the Map Options menu. When elevation features are turned on, the elevation box at the top left of the viewport shows the coordinates at the point of the mouse cursor. If multiple Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) are available to the account, you can change the DEM. 5

Archive Ordering (SecureWatch Only) SecureWatch users can now order archive imagery for Levels 1B, 2A, and OR2A, 3A, and 3D products to be delivered to the Library. GeoNews in the Viewport (SecureWatch Only) SecureWatch users now have a GeoNews tab in the side panel of the viewport. News articles for the region near the viewport will be displayed in the side panel, and you can click on an article to see the full text or navigate to the article's source. Note: for more information on the above features, please see the User Guide document via the link on the login page or in the Help menu. Known Issues Moving thumbnail items in the Carousel can cause the map to shift in the viewport. DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2017.Q1.R2 My DigitalGlobe User Guide Changes The My DigitalGlobe User Guides provide further details on all features and are now available online via a link on the My DigitalGlobe login page. Use the link to open the DigitalGlobe Cloud Services Documentation Portal in Readme.io and the User Guides are accessible via the User Guides link on the portal page. There are two versions available, one for EV-WHS users and the other for Commercial users. The online User Guide replaces the PDF version of the User Guide and allows you to suggest edits or request clarifications. An issue preventing library files from displaying has been fixed. Known Issues As of January 2016 Microsoft no longer supports IE9, IE10 or older versions of the Internet Explorer browser. As these versions have low usage and are more prone to security risks, effective April 1, 2017, MyDG will support all new functionality in Internet Explorer browser versions IE11 or later. All functionality included with the current release as well as functionality that existed prior to this release will remain IE9 and IE10 compliant. DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2016.Q4.R2 An issue in IE9 with the MyDG viewport displaying a blank screen after login has been fixed. 8

Software Version Information The Help icon version. now contains an item called "About My DigitalGlobe" that displays the software 10

WMS now returns a.tif extension for GeoTIFF files instead of a.image extension. An issue with long delays for WMS GeoTIFF requests has been addressed. My DigitalGlobe performance improvements should decrease imagery display lag times. Incorrect metadata for +Vivid and +Metro imagery is now corrected. DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2016.2 Share Bookmarks You can now select multiple bookmarks to export as a CSV file, share that file with colleagues, and import a file shared by others. Alerts When you create a new alert, you will no longer receive a notification of all imagery on the system. Upgrades include: Filter the Additional Imagery layer. Create and download inclusion areas to designate expanses where you ve used an image form the Additional Imagery layer for digitizing. 12

Export a shapefile containing footprints and metadata for the Default Imagery layer over your AOI. View Additional Imagery side by side with Default Imagery. ArcGIS User Guide Updated A new version of the ArcGIS user guide is now available for download from the My DigitalGlobe login page. The guide explains how to connect to WMS and WMTS imagery layers from ArcMap when not using ImageConnect. Known Issues Issues when using Internet Explorer (IE) 11: o Zooming can obscure the Editing panel in the Edit Project interface, including the Save and Cancel buttons. Log out and log in again to exit the Edit Project interface. o Drawing a polygon incorrectly fails with the error Error: shape edges cannot cross. Also, the polygon points are very large. o Grid identifiers are not rendering at any zoom level. The Upload Shapefile option under My Imagery -> Alerts returns errors. To create an alert from a shapefile, use the Define your area of interest icon. IE 9 is causing some obscure issues with the My DigitalGlobe user interface. We recommend Chrome, Firefox, or a newer version of IE. We have experienced some issues with stacking profiles that are not yet resolved. In certain circumstances imagery may not be stacked as expected. Turbo download for IE11 and Chrome is not yet fully supported. DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2015.5 OCR2 An issue that prevented some users from adding multiple images to the library has been fixed. The Aspera plug-in used for Turbo downloads has been updated to the current version and should now auto-install correctly for those whose environments permit installing a plug-in. Landsat imagery is now hidden by default and the basemap shows instead. A new hybrid mode shows cities and streets at zoom levels 11 16. Toggles under the Map Options menu show/hide Landsat and hybrid mode. The Reveal Basemap slider has been removed. The Imagery Available functionality is moved to the Map Options menu. Private Layer Archive images delivered online are now available only to users with the same account access, and are labeled Private in the carousel. View Metadata from the Viewport Right clicking an image now shows metadata for the topmost image in the viewport. Library Improvements RPF 0.5 meter, 1 meter, and 5 meter are now available when saving a mashup from Advanced Search. PowerPoint and Google Earth are now available formats for snapshots. Snapshots can now include the annotations and grids currently showing in the viewport. Resolution (full resolution or screen resolution) is clarified in the Add Full Image to Library, New Snapshot, and New Mashup dialog boxes; full resolution is the default. Mosaic products previously were stacked by ingest date but labeled in the carousel thumbnails by acquisition date; now mosaic products are labeled with the ingest date to match the stacking order. An issue with deleting annotations is fixed. The acquisition date filter is now working correctly. 14

DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2015.4 OCR 2 A problem with missing tiles in MrSID format downloads was fixed to ensure that all tiles download properly. DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2015.4 OCR 2 These notes apply to urgent fixes deployed on October 30, November 4, and November 6, as well as the planned maintenance on November 11 12 2015. For those with archive access: the Add Full Image to Library dialog box in Advanced Search now contains the More Ordering Options button, which had been missing. 15

DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2015.4 Share Bookmark The new email icon launches the local email client and prepopulates a message with a subject and a link to the bookmarked AOI. Carousel Query Status Indicator Icons on the carousel now indicate the imagery query status; click any indicator to refresh. Overview Map A new overview map helps users understand where in the world they are looking. The map shows the current location at 5 zoom levels higher than the current zoom, with the viewport highlighted in orange. BETA: Annotations and Grids Users can create a presentation or brief that highlights features in the imagery by adding grids and annotations inside My DigitalGlobe and then taking a screen shot of the imagery that includes the markup. For those with archive access: o The Open Street Maps basemap no longer obscures the archive browse images. o An issue with failing 1B archive orders is fixed. o An issue with displaying archive imagery when the AOI contains an unknown sensor type is fixed. The image menu icon now displays correctly in all networks. An issue with large area shapefile downloads is fixed. The UI now properly displays 0.00% for mosaic images with no cloud cover. DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2015.03 OCR 1 Users with special characters (such as @) in their usernames can now successfully use the Forgot Password tool. An issue with populating imagery in the carousel following a service restart was fixed. 16

Archive browse images now show properly (applies to users with archive access only). An issue with failing orders for Basic products was fixed (applies to users with archive access only). DGCS and My DigitalGlobe v. 2015.03.11 Advanced Search: The image source is listed on both the Results and Selected tabs. Fixed a discrepancy between carousel stacking and content viewed in viewport. Fixed a carousel stacking order issue when filtering is turned on. Performance Enhancements Faster login response. Faster WMS, WMTS, WFS response times. DGCS My DigitalGlobe v. 2015.02 New in this release Filtering GSD: The GSD filter is now a slider, which allows users to select a GSD in 1-cm increments from 30 40 cm, in 10-cm increments from 40 90 cm, and in 1-m increments from 1 4 m. The metadata panel displays the as-produced GSD. Connecting with ArcGIS Online My DigitalGlobe now generates a URL for connecting to DGCS with ArcGIS online. If desired, users can edit the URL to use the 4326 projection. 17

Fixed in this release Supplemental layers When adding an authenticated ESRI supplemental layer, My DigitalGlobe now attempts to securely transmit your authentication credentials to the third-party server using Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS), a mechanism that enables secure cross-site data transfers. If the third-party server does not allow access from DigitalGlobe domains (or if CORS fails for any other reason), a fallback mechanism is used to proxy the authentication request. If this fallback strategy fails, the layer cannot be viewed from within My DigitalGlobe. GoogleEarth KML layer names Layer names now are now correct. My DigitalGlobe UI and performance issues Black outlines corrected to show color in carousel Cloud cover filter for archive items now working properly Can now create bookmarks when carousel is locked Corrected pixel issue with improper color or null Sun elevation filter logic now working properly Cached expiring password message no longer shows Mosaic cloud cover metadata issue corrected Cloudless mode performance improved Failed order issue corrected 18
