R2 tabletop stereo Our third generation R2 continues our principles in a timeless audio system that looks and sounds sublime. Notably it incorporates technology that will allow you to access your music and radio in a variety of convenient ways. R2 Mk1 R2 Mk2 R2 Mk3 USB charge/ playback port and switchable line input on rear. New OLED display provides exceptional clarity at any viewing angle. Outwardly, the casework and panels have been revised for a sleeker look and the display replaced with a modern high contrast OLED. On top sits our re-engineered RotoDial controller. Comprising a multi format CD player, ipod dock, USB playback port, DAB/DAB+/FM tuner and switchable line inputs allied to a powerful speaker system, the R4i is in many ways a traditional music centre, though one designed and engineered for 21st Century living. To create systems which we believe are the finest available, we design every aspect of our products here in the UK. As an example, most small audio systems use amplifier modules for cost and ease of construction, however for R4i we developed our own amplifier system using discrete component technology. This technique is generally only found in specialist Hi-Fi components, but to obtain the performance we desired we knew that this was our only choice. With our skill in loudspeaker design and meticulous optimisation, voices and music are reproduced with clarity and realism, in a soundstage that truly belies the R4i s compact dimensions. MR1 bluetooth speaker system We may say it ourselves, but as independent reviews have shown, our diminutive MR1 Bluetooth speakers are capable of remarkable sound in multiple applications. As computer speakers they work perfectly, but moreover they are equally suited as speakers to dramatically improve the sound of flat panel TVs and as extension speakers for our own and other sound systems. Even alone, they can be the foundation of a complete music system and with Bluetooth and aptx built-in, audio can be streamed and played back wirelessly with CD quality sound. The MR1s undoubtedly compliment our award winning R-Series and again we ve used the skills from our loudspeaker heritage, to squeeze the utmost sound from the MR1s compact design. Acoustically tuned enclosures provide an ideal match for our custom-built woofer and tweeter units, with both units featuring powerful neodymium magnet systems. This type of system is considerably more expensive, but allows greater magnetic concentration, in a system which is lightweight and shielded, so the MR1s can be safely used near magnetically sensitive equipment. Both drivers are united using an audio grade crossover and driven by a high fidelity Class A-B linear amplifier. Accessories BackPack From feedback, we know that many customers still desire audio products that can be carried and enjoyed where mains power is not available, but the common practise of placing batteries inside steals valuable volume, which often results in poor sound quality! To overcome this we have designed an optional rechargeable power pack, which integrates seamlessly with our Mk2 and Mk3 R1 radio and MR1 Bluetooth Speakers. Called BackPack this stylish accessory provides hours of wire-free listening and once fitted can be left permanently attached, as the power supply that comes with R1 and MR1 also doubles as a charger. CarryPack To protect your R1 and to aid portability, we ve created a custom-made carry-case crafted from fine quality leather. CarryPack will bring an unabashed retro feel to your R1 that further enhances its beauty and design. LAS For customers who have an ipod or iphone model with the new style Lightning connector we have developed a simple yet smart solution which allows these products to work perfectly with our R2i/R4i models and many other units which feature Apple s Universal ipod dock. Codenamed LAS (Lightning Adaptor Support) this simple conversion allows full functionality with Lightning devices and when fitted integrates to look part of the system, rather than an ugly bolt-on accessory. LAS 1 combines with Apple s own Lightning to 30-pin adaptor 2 inside its casing and features a polished stainless steel support bar to stop strain when using the idevice touch-screen. The beauty of this simple conversion is that ipod/iphone models old and new can be used on the same system.
