Press Set Parental Controls Parental Controls allow you to block specific television shows, channels, TV ratings and moving ratings, as well as, the ability to block ordering of paid Video on Demand (VOD) programming. To set up Parental Controls: 1. Press on your Synergy TM remote 2. Use the arrows to navigate to the Settings icon 3. Choose Parental Controls 5. Create a Personal Identification Number* and press sub 6. Re-enter PIN to confirm and press 7. To lock or unlock content, press *The first time you use Parental Controls or purchase a VOD program you ll be required to create a Personal Identification Number (PIN). Take advantage of the Flip Bar features The Flip Bar lets you select specific actions such as Watch Live TV, add items to your Favorites list, turn Closed Captioning On and Off, and more. Access the Flip Bar Setting Defaults Set Closed Caption, Parental Controls, and Recording Defaults with the Settings icon on the Synergy main menu. sub 1. Search using the on-screen keyboard Search categories include: Title, Keyword, and Category. Selecting Search Options in the Search Type allows you to choose which type of content subtitle is displayed style in the search results, including TV Shows, TV Recordings, and On Demand. 1. Record your favorite TV series Your media player makes it easy to watch and manage your recordings from one place in the main menu. Record Future Programming Did you know You can program Synergy to record an entire series of a TV show or just one episode. Plus, sub you can set your DVR to record new episodes only or include repeats. 1. Press on your Synergy TM remote 2. Use the arrows to navigate to the Search icon 3. Choose Search option: Keyword, Category, or Title 4. Press 5. Use the on-screen keyboard to search for content you want to record 6. When you locate the content you want to record, press 7.
