PURPOSE Purpose of this document is to explain the procedure of configuring Microsoft Outlook 2010 on Windows and Microsoft Outlook 2011 on MAC for Microsoft Exchange. INTRODUCTION Microsoft Outlook is a personal information manager from Microsoft, available both as a separate application as well as a part of the Microsoft Office suite. The current version is Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 for Windows and Microsoft Office Outlook 2011 for Mac. Although often used mainly as an e-mail application, it also includes a calendar, task manager and contact manager. HOW TO CONFIGURE OUTLOOK WITH EXCHANGE IN WINDOWS Before beginning these steps, ensure that: Microsoft Outlook 2010 is installed but not yet configured for use with Exchange. You have your Active Directory (AD) username and password. You have your Exchange E-Mail ID. You Have Internet Connectivity. 1. Launch Microsoft Outlook 2010. 2. In the Startup Wizard, click Next. On the Account Configuration page, select Yes to indicate you want to configure an email account, and then click Next. If the Startup Wizard doesn't automatically display, from the File menu of Outlook 2010, select Info, and then click Add Account. Copyright 2005, Impetus Infotech (India) Pvt. Ltd. 4

3. On the Auto Account Setup page, Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types, and then click Next. 4. On the Choose Service page, select Microsoft Exchange or compatible service, and then click Next. Copyright 2005, Impetus Infotech (India) Pvt. Ltd. 5

5. Provide the following Server Settings. Server Name = Mail2.impetus.co.in User Name = Your Active Directory (AD) User ID Select Use Cached Exchange Mode. Note: You can use any of the following server names. Mail1.impetus.co.in Mail2.impetus.co.in Now Click on Check Name to validate your credentials. Copyright 2005, Impetus Infotech (India) Pvt. 7. When the Congratulations message displays, click Finish. The Connect to window displays. In the Connect to window, enter your User Name and Password, and then click OK. Copyright 2005, Impetus Infotech (India) Pvt. Ltd. 8

HOW TO CONFIGURE OUTLOOK WITH EXCHANGE IN MAC Before beginning these steps, ensure that: Microsoft Outlook 2011 is installed but not yet configured for use with Exchange. You have your Active Directory (AD) username and password. You have your Exchange E-Mail ID. You Have Internet Connectivity. 1. Add a New Account Open the Go menu at the top of your screen and click Applications. Double-click the Microsoft Office 2011 folder then double-click the Microsoft Outlook icon. 3. Enter Exchange Account Information. Enter your full official Impetus E-Mail address. Select User Name and Password for Method. Enter your Impetus Active Directory (AD) username and password. HOW TO ACCESS YOUR EXCHANGE MAIL ACCOUNT USING OWA 1. Using your Internet Browser use any of the following URL to access your mail account. https://mail1.impetus.co.in https://mail2.impetus.co.in https://mail3.impetus.co.in Enter your domain Username and Password and click on Sign In to get the access.
