HelpStudio can help you make sure that your applications help system is as impressive and effective as your application. HelpStudio is the fastest, easiest way to create and publish help systems and integrate them with your desktop or web based applications or components, including.net. Generate help output in cross-platform plain HTML, HTML Help, Help 2.x or printable PDF. Built in localization support means that you can take your help system to a global audience if required. HelpStudio seamlessly combines a feature packed WYSIWYG authoring environment, HTML based layout templates and customizable Content Widgets to make it simple to create consistent, professional looking help systems with the minimum of effort. Help Authoring just got a whole lot easier. Inside HelpStudio The HelpStudio user interface is intuitive and full of time saving and productivity features designed to make Help Authoring an enjoyable experience. Creating the Table of Contents or Glossary, adding Index Keywords and See Also Links, capturing screenshots, adding drop down sections or tip boxes to content and designing PDF booklets are all fully integrated and simply achieved using a few clicks or drag and drop. Find and Replace, Spell check and Hyperlink verification can be run on the entire project, ensuring that your help systems need never ship with spelling errors or broken links. Build flags (conditional content) can be used to mark content, files or table of contents nodes in order to create multiple versions of a help system (perhaps a Lite and a Professional version) from the same project. A single project can contain multiple languages, making it simple to take your help system to a global audience. Full unicode support means you can handle even complex languages including Japanese, Chinese and Arabic. The features don t stop there. Content Editor: The HelpStudio content editor provides powerful authoring functionality including table editing (row, column or cell cut/copy/paste, resize), unlimited undo, hyperlink designer and build flag highlighting. Content Widgets: Delivering great help content often requires a trade off between the time invested in creating dynamic content and the benefits it brings to the users of the content. With HelpStudio, you no longer need to comprimise - Widgets allow you to deliver dynamic content (e.g. drop down sections, enlarge in place images, colorized example code) without requiring any manual authoring effort and with no need to have HTML or Javascript knowledge. Unlike other Help Authoring tools, HelpStudio does not require that you check the project in and out as a whole - individual team members can independently work with different Topics, even the Table of Contents and Glossary in the same project - simultaneously. HelpStudio can generate PDF Booklets natively. Adobe software or a PDF printer driver are not required. Microsoft HTML Help is the windows standard help format. Microsoft Help 2.x is the help format used in Visual Studio.NET and MSDN. As well as native Help 2.x output support, HelpStudio includes an advanced Help 2.x link designer that makes it quick and easy to link to content in other Help 2.x help files. HelpStudio allows you to create dynamic help files, for integration directly in to your applications user interface using the HelpStudio Dynamic Help SDK, or for integration with the Visual Studio.NET dynamic help system. Dynamic help windows are a highly effective way of providing context sensitive help to your users. For Visual Basic applications, the HelpStudio Popup Help designer can be used to create simple popup help to complement a full help system. Multi Language Authoring Project Properties Full Unicode Support Custom Topic Properties HelpStudio allows you to work with any number of additional languages in addition to the primary language of your project. Define the project structure and Table of Contents just once and then localize for the additional languages in the same familiar HelpStudio environment or work with 3rd party translation providers using the HelpStudio XML Import / Export Wizard. Create properties containing common information (e.g. a support email address, or a product name) that can then be used in Topic content, Topic Titles or Table of Contents nodes. If the common information changes, it only then needs updating in one place. HelpStudio supports Unicode throughout, including Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Define custom properties that you would like to track against Topics. Work with the properties alongside the built in ones in the Topic Properties window. Project Tools Find and Replace Spell Check Link Verifier Task Management Unused Images Find or Replace across the whole project, including Table of Contents node captions, Topic titles, Glossary terms. Check the spelling of the entire project with a single click. Save time and effort by only checking topics changed since the last project spell check and adding technical terms to the project Ignore word list. Ensuring that all the hyperlinks and See Also links used within your project is key to delivering a quality help system. The HelpStudio Link Verifier makes this quick and simple. Each suspect link can be easily edited directly from the results list. Create and manage outstanding tasks, associated with a particular Topic if required. Use tasks statuses to track completion of outstanding tasks. Easily identify any legacy image files that are no longer used in any content using the Find Unused Images tool. Visually map Topics to your Visual Basic applications from directly within the Visual Basic IDE. Dynamic help windows are a highly effective way of providing context sensitive help to your users. Integrating a dynamic help window within your application is possible using the HelpStudio Dynamic Help SDK. Integrate end user help with your.net application using the.net Help Provider component. Easily Integrate your.net component or AddIn Help system into Visual Studio.NET using InnovaHxReg, a freely distributable Help 2.x registration tool. Create content for the Visual Studio.NET Dynamic Help Window using the HelpStudio Dynamic Help Editor.
