New Query/Browse List Layout You can now take advantage of s new Query layout that lets you view your query while also viewing the results No more skipping back and forth between the Query and the Browse List it s all there on one page. During the short period of review, you can always continue to use the Classic Layout. When going to the Browse List from the Query function the initial time, you are presented with the following message when initially building a Query. This message will be accessible in subsequent Browse List uses. When you click on the Try New Layout button you are then presented with the following page: 5
The message in yellow- Resize Grid Here will fade out after a short period of time. This indicates that you can resize the individual view by dragging the line either up or down. The message in the Green box will allow you to return to the Classic Layout during the review period, as well as provide IHS with your feedback on this update. These options will be available only during a brief customer review period. The Browse List retains all functionality, as in the Classic Layout, and the results of any query can be taken to any other window, including the Map. To take the results of your query to the Map or to generate Outputs, use the buttons seen on the Query Results portion of the Query function. Send To Map A My Layers entry is built based on the Send to Map dialogue entries The resulting Map view follows and includes all Map functions. 6
Generate Outputs All Output formats including your Custom Templates, are available as before. Additionally, the ability to save your Query remains available from the Query Results panel. New IE Browser Message Reminder As newer versions of Internet Explorer browsers become available and older versions are no longer supported by Microsoft, we attempt to take advantage of any new features / efficiencies. 7
As a reminder that an older version of your browser was detected during your Enerdeq session, a message will display suggesting that you upgrade your browser if possible. A link to the Microsoft website has been provided. 8
Map and Query Updates New attributes added to Well and Production Map Layers New data attributes have been added to the Well and Production layers. Current Producing Operator, Play Name, Play Type are available as Label features. 9
Import Polygon Updated to process Multi-Part Polygons The Import Polygon feature will now support Multi-Part Polygons. All options and import requirements remain the same. Identify List Function Updated The Output function has been added to the Identify List. 10
You are now able to perform three functions from a dropdown dialogue: Add New Map Layer Spatial Export Reports and Outputs Add New My Layer From the Identify List you can select items or process the entire Identify List. By clicking on the Output link, you will be presented with a dropdown dialogue. Click on the Add New My Layer option. The standard Send to Map dialogue will display. 11
Clicking Continue will then add the layer to the My Layer folder in the Map Layer List and present the message below. This message can be turned off for future Add New My Layer processes. The new Map layer is shown below. All My Layer functions are available. 12
Spatial Export From the Identify List, you can select items or process the entire Identify List. Clicking on the Output link will open a dropdown dialogue. When clicking on the Spatial Export option, you will be presented with the standard Spatial Export dialogue with the newly created My Layer will be the default layer checked. Additional layers can then be added to the spatial export process. NOTE: A new My Layer must be created prior to spatially exporting the Identify List entries. 13
Reports and Outputs From the Identify List you can select items or process the entire Identify List. Clicking on the Output link will open and display a dropdown menu. Clicking on the Reports and Outputs option, a standard Output dialogue will open and display, showing the number of items to be reported (as designated from the Identify List). 14
Active Layer Identified in the Map Status Bar The Active Layer for a current Map session is now shown in the Map Status Bar as well as seen above the Map Layer List: Map Status Indicator When running a map function that runs a bit longer than normal, a working indicator will display, indicating that the map is still processing the selected function. Alaska State and County Display State and Counties are now presented for Alaska when using the Reference State and County layers. Alaska State Boundary: 15
Alaska County Boundaries: Map Correction In a previous version, duplicate section labels were being displayed. This has been corrected in v2.9 16
Rig Activity Enhancements Browse List A new Rig Activity ID list is available for Rig Activity. New Rig Template Attributes Contractor Code and Operator Code have been added to the Rig Activity One-Line template as optional attributes for your Custom Templates. These codes are located in the Identification folder. 17
Rig Counts by Status Counts by status are now included at the top of each Rig Activity Query page. These counts include total counts for all reporting Rigs as well as counts by Rig Status. Browser Strategy and Recommendations With the introduction of Windows 10, we are seeing a significant growth in the use of IE11 Edge along with a large decrease in the IE9 and IE10 usage in our user community. In order for IHS Enerdeq to support the newer browsers, we will continually review our strategy in supporting these older browsers. In any case all new features will be coded to support the more current browser releases. We now support IE11 and Edge, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. These newer browsers perform more efficiently as well as provide for enhanced security when using the Enerdeq Browser application. 18
Clearing your Cache As new versions of the Internet Explorer Browser become available, various actions are needed to ensure proper results from the IHS Enerdeq Browser Application. One such action is the clearing of your computer s cache. The following discussion outlines the procedure to clear the cache for Internet Explorer versions 9 and newer. Internet Explorer To clear your cache: In your IE browser, press the Alt key on your keyboard and then click the Tools menu. Select the Delete Browsing History command. The Delete Browsing History dialog box will display. Check the box next to Temporary Internet Files and then click the Delete button. You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete all temporary Internet Explorer files. Click Yes. When the files have been deleted, click OK. 19
Mozilla Firefox To clear your content cache in Mozilla Firefox, go to the bottom of the Mozilla Firefox Start Page. A group of icons display that provide access to various settings. Click the icon to open and display a General page. Click the Advanced option in the index on the left side of the page. 20
Click the tab at the top of the page. A Cashed Web Content section displays in the center of this page. Click the button to the right of this section to clear the web content cache. In the second menu, click the Clear Browsing data option to open and display a Clear Browsing Data window.. Use the options in this window to clear your Browsing data. You will the option to select a Browsing timeframe 22
