Step 1: Label Drive Enclosures Connected to Nodes 0 and 1 A. Find the Enclosure Labels for Nodes 0 and 1 that match those seen on the diagram below. B. Apply labels as seen in the diagram to the left rail of each disk enclosure. Step 2: Label the Node 0 Cables Node 0 Number of cables Length Labels 6m 2m 7 1m A F A. Find the labels for Node 0 in the Label Kit. B. Select six short, 1m cables. Apply labels in row A to each end of one cable. Apply labels in rows B-F to each end of the remaining cables.
Step 3: Cable Node 0 with Red Label Cables A. Install the six short, 1m cables for Node 1 into the ports identified on the cable label. B. Use the diagram below to verify that all cabling is correct after connecting all the cables. Nodes 0/1
Step 4: Label the Node 1 Cables Node 1 Number of cables Length Labels 6m 2 2m E, F 5 1m J M A. Find the labels for Node 1 in the Label Kit. B. Select two medium, 2m cables. Apply labels in row E to each end of one cable. Apply labels in row F to each end of the remaining cable. C. Select four short, 1m cables. Apply labels in row J to each end of one cable. Apply labels in rows K-M to each end of the remaining cables.
Step 5: Cable Node 1 with Green Label Cables A. Install the two medium, 2m cables for Node 1 into the ports identified on the cable label. B. Install the four short, 1m cables for Node 1 into the ports identified on the cable label. C. Use the diagram below to verify that all cabling is correct after connecting all the cables. Nodes 0/1

Step 8: Cable Node 2 with Red Label Cables A. Install the six short, 1m cables for Node 1 into the ports identified on the cable label. B. Use the diagram below to verify that all cabling is correct after connecting all the cables. Nodes 2/3
Step 9: Label the Node 3 Cables Node 3 Number of cables Length Labels 6m 2 2m E, F 4 1m J M A. Find the labels for Node 3 in the Label Kit. B. Select two medium, 2m cables. Apply labels in rows E and F to each end of the cables. C. Select four short, 1m cables. Apply labels in row J to each end of one cable. Apply labels in rows K-M to each end of the remaining cables.
Step 10: Cable Node 3 with Green Label Cables A. Install the two medium, 2m cables for Node 1 into the ports identified on the cable label. B. Install the five short, 1m cables for Node 1 into the ports identified on the cable label. C. Use the diagram below to verify that all cabling is correct after connecting all the cables. Nodes 2/3
Step 11: Node Interconnect Cabling A. Find the four Node Interconnect cables The cables are DIRECTIONAL and must be installed correctly for the system to function properly. B. Connect one cable at a time as follows: 1. Controller A, Node 0, Intr 0 Controller C, Node 2, Intr 1 2. Controller A, Node 0, Intr 1 Controller C, Node 3, Intr 0 3. Controller A, Node 1, Intr 0 Controller C, Node 3, Intr 1 4. Controller A, Node 1, Intr 1 Controller C, Node 2, Intr 0 C. After confirming that all cabling is correct (SAS and interconnection) the system may be powered on using the procedure in the Installation Guide.
