Do Not Forget! The NIH Public Access Policy requires scientists to submit final, peer-reviewed journal manuscripts that arise from NIH funds to the digital archive PubMed Central upon acceptance for publication. The PMCID submission needs to be completed within 90 days (3 months) of the article's official date of publication in order to be compliant with the NIH public access policy. Be mindful that the submission process takes between 2 to 4 weeks. 15
