Tips 1. Documents for Edit icons- a. If a document says End -that means the document is in Progress. b. If a document says Edit -that means the document is On Hold c. * -indicates any document type that contains unsigned clinical list updates. This document may not appear first in the list and would use the scroll bar to locate the asterisk when it is not in view. 2. Loading icon-the icon stays in a running state when there is an OK button to push, until you push the OK button. 3. Multiple document views-you can have multiple documents and views open on your desktop at a time. These are indicated by the icons on your taskbar on your computer screen. Hovering over the icon will tell you what is minimized and selecting a document or view allows you to navigate between them. Watch this area to make sure you don t have more than one module or document open than you are aware of. 4. Location of Care (LOC)-is not displayed in alphabetical order and the view is truncated (cut-short) and may make it difficult for users to find their LOC. This cannot be adjusted. Page 6 of 8
5. Viewing Past and Future Appointments in CPS-you can continue to view patient appointment information from the appointment tab in registration. 6. Time-out of session-if a user exits CPS, but did not log off the desktop, the CPS login can be restarted by clicking on the refresh button in your browser on your desktop. 7. Starting in a module other than Chart. The default for all users in the HealthTeam is automatic start of the Chart module. 8. Contents of Custom Problem List-you can view the contents of your Custom list by placing your cursor in the Search for: field and then clicking the down arrow on your keyboard. Page 7 of 8
Issues and Miscellaneous Questions 1. Invalid characters-these characters cannot be used in login passwords, these include: Space ' `? " & < > 2. Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) the assessment is not committed until the Commit Assessment button is pushed AND the user navigates to another form by either using the Next Page or Previous Page buttons, or use the Navigation buttons included in the CCC forms at the bottom. Using the forms lineup to navigate to another form will cause the assessment to not be committed. This is a known issue. 3. Printing Schedules-schedules cannot be printed in CPS 11. The schedules could be printed in CEMR 9.5. If a user needs a printed schedule they need to get it from Centricity Business. 4. Multiple Login Error Message-similar to CEMR 9.5, when a user is logged into more than one machine or it may happen when a user is no longer in a session. The open session will count as a used license and prevent another user from being able to access the CPS in the event of all licenses being used. The user may see this message if they have multiple sessions open OR a session times out OR a user closed with the red X instead of Exit OR was kicked out of the session for another reason. A reboot will fix this or stopping the processes in Task Manager. Users should remember to only log in once. 5. Forms Lineup Navigation-If a user clicks a form in the lineup list and it did not open, double-clicking it may be necessary. Page 8 of 8
