Installation Pack Welcome to the Flexischools system. You will have received a disc containing: Sato Drivers Flexischools Online Order Management Software Dot Net Framework 2.0 Software There are three items of software contained in these files: 1. The Sato Printer Drivers These are the drivers for the SATO CG208 label printer. 2. The Flexischools Online Order Management Software This is the application that downloads and prints the daily orders installed via the FOOM_Setup_X_X.msi file. 3. Dot Net Framework 2.0 It may be necessary to install this internet access framework, but you will be notified when trying to install Flexischools Online Order Management software. Page 2 of 18
Installation Process You are now ready to install the software. Note: Please ensure you are logged in as an 'Administrator' on the local machine when doing the installation, and choose Everyone when given the option of "Everyone" or "Just Me" Setup the Printer and Driver This process is specifically designed for Windows XP operating system ONLY. NOTE: You MUST disconnect from the internet BEFORE starting the installation. 1. Connect the power supply to the printer (flat side facing up). Note: Do NOT power up printer until asked. 2. Connect the USB cable to an available port on the computer and to the printer. 3. Open the printer cover by pulling the 2 blue locks on the sides of the printer forward. Open the cover all the way until it locks. 4. Open the label roll holder by pressing the blue latch back and pulling apart the roll holders. 5. Insert the label roll and close the roll holder by pushing the blue latch back and squeezing closed to roll holder. When the roll is clamped, release the blue latch and the clamps will hold the roll in place. 6. Feed the labels through both left and right guides then close the cover ensuring there is an audible click when firmly closed. 7. Power up the printer by holding the power button for 2 seconds then releasing it. Page 3 of 18
8. An add new printer wizard will appear. Choose the second option and click Next. 9. Select the Don t Search option, then click Next. Page 4 of 18
10. Click Have Disk, then click Browse. 11. Go to the location of where your Sato CG208 driver is stored (on the supplied CD). Page 5 of 18
12. Open the Scotney Group CG208 Driver folder and open the 32bit folder then click Open. 13. Click OK. Page 6 of 18
14. Select SATO CG208 from the list, then click Next. 15. The printer driver is now installing, please wait until the process has completed. (may take upto 1 minute). 16. Click Finish to close the installation wizard. Page 7 of 18
17. The following message will be displayed when the installation is complete. 18. Go to Start Settings Printers and Faxes. 19. Right mouse click on the Sato CG208 printer. Page 8 of 18
20. Click Print Test Page to print a test label which will show a Windows logo and some text. If this prints, the driver was installed successfully. Close all open windows and continue with the software installation. Page 9 of 18
1. Install the Flexischools Online Order Management Software From the Installation Pack disc double click on the file FOOM_Setup_X_X.msi: When prompted to choose between "Everyone" and "Just Me", choose "Everyone". Otherwise follow the default settings. Page 10 of 18

2. Run the Flexischools Online Ordering Management Software Please now reconnect to the internet. Logout out as the Administrator. Login to Windows on the local machine as the person who will be using the application. If going via a Proxy Server you will be asked for the username and password, which will give you the secure internet access (these will be important later in the installation). Double click on the Flexischools Online Orders icon on the desktop: The first time you run the application you will be prompted to select the label printer. Select the Label Printer: Page 13 of 18
and choose the Zebra printer that was just installed (SATO CG208): If your PC does not use a Proxy Server you will be asked to login with the Username and Password provided by Flexischools. You will have received a covering letter with the Installation Pack containing your own school s specific Username and Password. Enter these in the fields below and click Login: If your PC does not use a Proxy Server go to section 5. Page 14 of 18
3. School Proxy Settings If your network uses a proxy to access the internet, please follow these instructions to set the proxy settings. You may need to enter your school internet access username and password if you need to go through the proxy server, these would have been entered by you when you logged in to the PC to give you access to the internet. Note: You may need help from an IT specialist at school for this stage. In NSW the Proxy Settings for government schools are: Proxy: Port: proxy.det.nsw.edu.au 8080 In QLD the Proxy Settings for government schools are: Proxy: Port: proxy.eq.edu.au 80 In VIC the Proxy Settings for government schools are: Proxy: Port: proxy.education.netspace.net.au 8080 In WA the Proxy Settings for government schools are: Proxy: Port: 10.15.81.11 8080 Page 15 of 18
If you are using Windows Authentication, leave the Username and Password blank (most common). If you use Basic Authentication, enter the proxy login username and password. Enter the Proxy URL and check the Proxy Port is correct. Click Apply You may be asked to re-enter your Windows Authentication again at this stage. Close the application to force the settings to be used. Restart the application: In the Options choose Login: You will have received a covering letter with the Installation Pack containing your own school s specific Username and Password. Enter these in the fields below and click Login: Page 16 of 18
4. Print Test Orders Once the Flexischools Online Order Management software is running you should see a list of test orders. Click Print Labels : Please check the format of the labels printed. If they do not look exactly right please call FlexiSchools Customer Services on 1300 361 769. Page 17 of 18
5. Print Production Reports After you have printed your labels you can print the other production reports to help you make the orders. Select the A4 document report printer connected to your PC. To print a list of all the items that have been ordered, go to the Items tab and click Print. To print a report by class, listing who ordered by class, go to the Classes tab and click Print.
