Managing User Profile & System Preferences In order to set User Profile preferences, you must have an Ad-ID log in. If you have not created a user profile, go to https://app.ad-id.org/user/register to register. Managing your User Profile 1. Click on your email on the right side of the top navigation bar and click on Profile. 2. Within your Ad-ID User Profile you can click to edit your contact information and set preferences. You can also click on the tabs at the top to edit your email address list, and view Ad-ID system messages. 3. Email Address List: A tab located in your user profile. When sending an email through the Ad-ID system, the email addresses you send to are automatically saved to this list. To add a new email to the list, enter one email address per line and click Save. To remove an email from the list, delete the email and click Save. The saved emails are available in all areas where emails are sent such as inviting users to groups and emailing a list of codes. Managing Codes Field Display Preferences The Codes Field Display Preferences allows you to customize which fields will be displayed in the Ad-ID code table. Please note: The selections made in this section will display on all code tables throughout the Ad-ID system. This includes the dashboard, group page(s), prefix page(s) and search results. When using the print or email features in the code table, it will also use the fields set in your codes field display preferences. The default Ad-ID codes table shows a total of 9 fields (see screenshot below). Example of Default Ad-ID codes table: 1. To manage display preferences, click on Code Fields Display Preferences. The Code and Created Date fields are required and cannot be unselected. You can check off up to 7 or less additional fields. a. Click Default if you need to restore to the default fields (Title, Length, Media Type, Advertiser, Brand, Product and Version). b. Click Clear to clear all selections. Please Note: You cannot customize the order in which the fields will show. They will display in the order that they are shown on the screen. Managing User Profile & System Preferences Page 3 of 8
2. Click Save to save all preferences and profile information. Managing Fields Export Preferences The Code Fields Export Preferences allows you to customize which fields are included in files that are exported from the Ad-ID system. You can export codes directly out of the Ad- ID system via CSV, Excel, or XML. Please note: The selections made in this section will be used when exporting from all code tables located throughout the Ad-ID system. 1. To manage export preferences, click on Code Fields Export Preferences. The Code and Created Date fields are required and cannot be unselected. You can check off as many Slate fields as you like. There is no limit. a. Click Default if you need to restore to the default fields. b. Click Clear to clear all selections. Please Note: You cannot customize the order in which the fields will export. 2. Click Save to save all preferences and profile information. 3. From the Ad-ID Codes table, you can export to CSV, Excel or XML and you can select either Slate for Full. a. Click on Full to export all code information including fields from the slate and additional metadata tabs. b. Click on Slate to export only fields that you have specified in your preferences. The Other Preferences section allows you to manage other display preferences. These include: records per page, hide the sidebar, choose the default starting page and set a preference on how to send emails from the Ad-ID system. 2. Records Per Code Table Page Preferences: You can choose how many codes are shown on each page of the Ad-ID Codes Table. You can choose from 10, 25, 50 or 100. Please Note: By selecting a number, this updates the codes per page for all code tables throughout the Ad-ID system and overrides the default settings, including the dashboard (default is 25), group page(s) (default is 50), prefix page(s) (default is 100) and search results (default is 100). Example of customized Records Per Page: 3. Hide Sidebar: The sidebar shows on the right side on various screens. There is a Sidebar button that allows users to hide or show the sidebar as needed. If you prefer that the sidebar is always hidden by default, unless you click the button to show it, you can check the Hide Sidebar box in your profile. 4. Default Starting Page: When you log in to Ad-ID, you are brought directly to the code creation screen by default. If you prefer to go to the Dashboard or to a group home page when you log in, this can be set in your profile. If you choose one of my groups, you will need to choose which group will be the starting page. 5. System Emails Sender: You can set a preference on how to send emails from the Ad-ID system. You can select from two options: Send from my email address or Send from ad-id.org. Send from my email address is the default. This means the Ad-ID system sends emails on behalf of your email address by default and recipients' replies will go to your email address. If there are issues sending emails from the Ad- ID system, try to set the sender as Send from ad-id.org which will send all emails from cs@ad-id.org. This may have a better chance of getting through firewalls and other preventative measures companies have implemented on email. 6. When finished editing, click on Save.
