2. System Installation 2.1 Open the Motherboard Cover Please be carefully when opening the Motherboard cover to prevent any damage to the internal connectors or cables. a. Unscrew the screws (4) to uncover the metal rear cover. b. Turn the whole system up side down c. Set the motherboard tray on a flat surface and flip up the LCD module assembly. Note: Please open the cover carefully to prevent the two LCD FCC cables being pulled off. 5
2.2 Replacing the HDD To replace the HDD, please first follow the steps 2.1 a, b and c. a. Unfasten the screw (1) that secures the 2.5 Hard Drive. b. Slide the HDD out as shown by the arrow and replace it. 6
2.3 Installing the WLAN Card To install the WLAN Card, please first follow the steps 2.1 a, b and c. a. Locate the WLAN antenna cable that is installed in the system (see arrow) and the note the connector at the end of the cable (see circle). Screw hole b. Connect the WLAN cable to the mini WLAN card and slightly press on the cable connector until it clicks. Left Connector Note: make sure the antenna cable is connected to the left of the two connectors of the mini WLAN card. Golden Finger Connector 7
c. Slide the golden finger connector into the WLAN Slot on the motherboard. d. Press down and fasten the screw (1) to secure the WLAN card to the motherboard. 8
2.4 Installing the External Antenna a. Please screw the External Antenna to the Antenna connector on the system. b. Finished. 9
