- 2018 - COOKIE SALE PLANNING GUIDE

Cost Of The Cookies Cookies are $4.00 per box. Specialty cookies, Toffee Tastic and Girl Scouts S mores, are $5.50 a box. Troop Proceeds Troop Earning Items Sold (Per Registered Girl Average) $0.65 per box...1-149 boxes sold $0.73 per box...150-199 boxes sold $0.78 per box... 200-249 boxes sold $0.82 per box... 250+ boxes sold Older Girl Proceed Option A troop proceeds option for Girl Scout Juniors or older is available. Troops that prefer to earn an additional five cents per box rather than the rewards can choose this option in ebudde by going to the settings tab and choosing opt out of rewards for additional proceeds. All girls in the troop must agree to this option. The increased proceeds will be reflected on the troop sales report. For more information visit jerseyshoregirlscouts.org/cookies.

Get Started! Registered Girl Scouts can sell cookies online through the Digital Cookie (aka Digital Order Card/DOC) platform! There are two ways for Girl Scouts to sell. We encourage girls to use BOTH options to sell cookies. By using both, girls will reach more customers. Traditional Order Card Digital Order Card For customers who want to: order face-to-face pay cash have a Girl Scout deliver February/March 2018 Delivery For customers who want to: order online pay with a credit card receive long-distance delivery *New This Year - Girl Delivery Option Immediately Order will be submitted to family/troop/ebudde. Cookies delivered to troop as usual. Order will be processed immediately at the bakery and shipped as quickly as possible. A valid parent email address is REQUIRED for girls to participate in the Digital Cookie program. Parents who provided an email address on their Girl Scout s registration form will receive an email invitation in December asking them to enroll in DOC. Girl names will be automatically added to ebudde prior to the sale. Digital Cookie sales begin January 13 and end March 30. DOC orders will update in ebudde automatically (and girls will receive credit) as they are placed. There are NO jurisdictional boundaries with Digital Cookie. A registered Girl Scout can sell cookies online to customers anywhere in the country. *New This Year - Girl Delivery Option for Digital Cookie! Visit jerseyshoregirlscouts.org/cookies for full details. Jersey Shore Cares Gift of Caring Program Jersey Shore Cares Patch 10+ boxes donated All donated cookies sold by girls on the traditional order form are now virtual. These gift of caring boxes are to be entered into ebudde under the column JSGOC (Jersey Shore Gift of Caring). They will be included in the total number of boxes sold for the girl and the troop but will not be included in the total boxes in the troop delivery.

Troop Timeline December 15-22 Emails will be sent to volunteers/parents with information to access Digital Online Cookie. This is an additional option, not intended to replace the traditional cookie order taking. January 2 Troops can begin registering for cookie booth sales using the booth scheduler in ebudde, the cookie ordering system. For access to this system, contact your community product sale coordinator. Troops are required to obtain permission from the booth location manager prior to submitting their booth requests. Troops can enter these sales that they secure by clicking on booth sites then my sales and then add a location. Enter the information and please remember to submit once completed. Once approved by council, you can expect to receive an automated confirmation email. Council sales will not be available until February due to the process of securing sites with corporate offices, etc. By January 12 Attend a community meeting for training and distribution of cookie sales materials. Distribute sales material to girls, review safety policies and collect signed permission slips to be retained for your reference. Familiarize yourself with ebudde and verify your troop information including your email address, troop level, girls listed. January 13 28 Girl order taking period. Cost for the traditional six varieties is $4. The two specialty cookies, Toffee-Tastic (gluten free) and S mores are $5.50 per box and they will be included on the girl order card. They will be included with the initial order delivery in the communities along with the other six varieties. Digital Cookie is open/available to girls interested in participating in online selling from January 13 March 30. Digital cookie orders customers purchase to be shipped or donated will automatically transfer over to ebudde. Digital cookie orders when customers request girl delivery will need to be ordered manually by the troop along with the paper orders. The girl delivery option deadline will be the same as the girl s initial order deadline, Jan. 28. Please visit our website, www.jerseyshoregirlscouts.org/cookies, for further details on the girl delivery option. By February 4 This is the DEADLINE to collect orders placed on the initial girl order cards as well as any digital girl delivery orders, and enter them into ebudde. Suggestion have girls submit their orders to you by February 2, to give you the weekend to enter them into the system on time! Troops planning booth sales can order their cookies for these sales along with their initial order along the booth line and it will be included with their initial order delivery or place a pending order as described below. A limited amount of specialty cookies will be available at the cookie depot. Council will have stock of all six regular varieties.

February 19-23 Booth cookies can be included with the initial order. When placing booth orders please consider the extra boxes the troop will have when ebudde rounds up each variety. The troop will be responsible for these boxes which can be sold at booth sales or elsewhere. Another option is to place your booth order under the transactions tab. This tab will open Feb. 19 where the order will show as a pending order. These orders will be available to be picked up at the council cookie depot which will open Feb. 22. Once this order is placed it will be included with your troop totals in ebudde. Community cookie deliveries will be this week. Check with your community coordinator for date, location and time for pick up. February 23 April 15 Scheduled booth sales take place. The council cookie depots are open from Feb. 22 April 6. Cookies are not returnable. Be sure to enter your booth sales into ebudde at least two weeks prior to ensure customer awareness. Council cookie depots will be open Monday-Thursday, 9:00am 5:00pm and Fridays, 9:00am 4:00pm. Place cookie orders under the transactions tab in ebudde at least three days prior to your requested pickup date. Remember, girls participating in online cookie sales are able to continue selling until March 30. March 6 The deadline for girls to submit payment to their troops for their cookie orders. Checks can be made payable to GSJS. IMPORTANT Be sure to write your troop number on the deposit ticket prior to submitting to your community coordinator. Keep one copy for yourself. March 9 First/preliminary deposits (before all booth sales are completed) are due to council. Please deposit any money received by girls up to now. Refer to the sales report tab in ebudde for the amount due to council. March 30 Final deposits are due from troops. Booth sales continue. Troops are not required to cover outstanding balances due by girl/parents. Notify Janet Zelenak at jzelenak@jerseyshoregirlscouts.org with any delinquent payments. Be sure to include amount due and girl/parent name. Begin allocating booth boxes under girls names by going to the girl orders tab. Select the girl s name, add transaction, and ok and save when finished. April 2 Deadline to submit all girl rewards (incentives) in ebudde. Complete allocating boxes for girls prior to submittal. Deadline for travel scholarship is April 2, 2018. April 6 Council cookie depots end. Submit final deposits after booth sales are completed. Any late booth sale deposits are due the Monday after the sale.

DID YOU KNOW? Booth Scheduling In ebudde Troop Sales Each troop enters their location after receiving approval from location manager, along with the date and time. Select the booth sites tab, click on my sales and enter your booth sale information. An automated e-mail from ebudde will be generated once council has approved the sale. In addition, the text in ebudde will become green once sale is approved. If there is a conflict and the sale is denied, the text will become orange. Council Sales There are two types of booth sites that can be secured in ebudde Troop Sales and Council Sales. These are sale opportunities coordinated by council. They usually do not become available until at least the middle of February due to corporate approvals, etc. Troops just need to select the date and time they would like. In ebudde, select the booth sites tab and click on council sales to view any available sales scheduled by the council. If the listing is green, there is availability and your troop can secure the date and time. No automated e-mail is generated for council sales. Your confirmation is your ability to select the date. You can confirm your selection by clicking on the blue box labeled current sign ups. jerseyshoregirlscouts.org/cookies 800.785.2090
