EXTENSION DESCRIPTION Real time customer can only purchase the item if they are clear about what they are going to receive. Product Inquiry module will help store owner to increase more sales by clearing customers product related doubts and questions quickly. Product Inquiry will help customers to send their inquiries related to specific product to website owner. Admin will be notify by email whenever new inquiry has been posted on store. Admin will then respond to the inquiry from the Magento Backend. Answer notification emails will get sent to the user who has posted the question. On front end side visitors are able to see all product related questions & answers on product detail page. Only answers which are approved by admin will be visible to visitors. Register members can also see their product related inquiries on their My Account Section. 1. GENERAL CONFIGURATION Go to Admin Panel > System > Configuration > ZealousWeb Extension > Product Inquiry > General Configuration Section. Enable: Select Yes to enable extension Display Title: Set display title. This title will be reflected at front-side Allow Guest to Post Inquiry: Select Yes to allow guest to post an inquiry otherwise only customer can post an inquiry. Default Inquiry Status: By default status is New. You can change it to Approved or Not Approved.Inquiry with Approved status will be visible at front end side. 4 P a g e
2. EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS Go to Admin Panel > System > Configuration > ZealousWeb Extension > Product Inquiry > Email Notification Section. New Inquiry Email Sender: Select any of sender from available sales emails. New Inquiry Email template sent to customer: Select any of email template from available email templates. New Inquiry Email template sent to admin: Select any of email template from available email templates. New Inquiry Notification Email Copy To: Enter email addresses with comma-separated. If remain blank only admin will be notify. New Inquiry Notification Email Copy Method: Select any of method from available methods. INSTALLATION STEPS Step 1. Check Permissions. Make sure the ''app'', ''js'' and ''skin'' directories of your Magento and all directories inside it have full written permissions or set permissions on the each directory equal to 777 or 0777. Important! Change all permissions back after installation. Step 2. Upload files. Unzip and upload all content of the extension folder to the root folder of your Magento website using FTP client. On the request whether existing files (folders) should be replaced select Yes. Step 3. Clear Cache. Update cache in case it is enabled. (System Cache Management). Note:* If cache clearance and Indexing does not enabled the extension, just Log-out from the Admin Control Panel and login again. HOW TO USE In order to use this extension, you have to enabled the extension from Admin > System > Configuration under 'ZEALOUSWEB EXTENSION' tab. After this, Go to any product detail page you can see the Product inquiry section at the bottom of the page. If you have enabled guest to post inquiry then you can directly ask question otherwise you need to login to ask question. 7 P a g e
Once user post an inquiry, store owner will be notified by email. Now Go to Admin > Product Inquiry > All Inquiries section. Here you can see all the inquiries related to different products. 8 P a g e
To Answer any of inquiry Click on Answer it button. You can see the form with detail about particular product inquiry. Write your answer in answer text area. Check Notify Customer By Email check box if you want to notify customer by email. Change the status to Approved and click on Save Inquiry button. Note: Only Answer with Approved status will be visible on product detail page. You can quickly check all the Unanswered Inquiries From Admin > Product Inquiry > Unanswered Inquiries section.
