Tank terminal demonstrates the electrically operated solution for Emergency Shutdown Valves

Transcription:

General Specifications Model NTPA400 Exatas Package Terminal Automation Overview GENERAL A terminal/large depot (hereinafter referred to as a terminal) is a storage area where petroleum products are received through cross-country pipelines and/or large marine vessels and are stored in tank farms. Subsequent distribution is carried out using trucks, barges, rail cars (popularly known as tank cars or wagons), and similar means. Yokogawa has gained years of experience in the automation of such terminals/depots and has released a packaged solution their management called Exatas. This GS is to highlight the features, functionality, and hardware and software requirements realizing and implementing terminal automation to meet the specific demands and needs of terminals. FEATURES - Integrated operation with seamless connection to ERP systems such as SAP R/3 - A Configuration Switch that enables individual selection of function modules - An open database management system that is realized using Oracle RDBMS - Multiple language support - High reliability associated with DCS and easy engineering using templates - User-friendly operation using Windows as the Graphic User Interface EXATAS FUNCTIONS Oil and LPG Tank Truck Loading Management Control and management oil and LPG tank truck loading. Oil and LPG Ship Loading/Unloading Management Control and management oil and LPG ship loading/unloading. Oil Rail Tank Car (Wagon) Loading Management Control and management oil rail tank car (wagon) loading. Tank Inventory Management Tank inventory management is implemented. Multi-owner Handling Terminals owned by a number of owners are taken into account. Security Control and Management Operational security is managed by providing individual passwords to respective users. Data Closing Function (with Loss-gain Calculation) Book-physical inventory differences are calculated products and tanks. This system (not included as part of Exatas) is used terminal administration tasks such as order processing, truck/rail car/berth scheduling, invoicing and tax management and other management functions. TAS Management (TAS-MS) TAS-MS provides Exatas management function. It comprises a client/server model, with the Windows server providing the functions of interfacing with the host system, managing loading/unloading orders, and managing operation data. The Windows clients provide human interface functions. Any market-available PC can be used as a client. To facilitate a single window concept, the following is realized each platm: - CENTUM CS 3000: TAS client functions can be implemented in HIS (Human Interface Station). - STARDOM: TAS client functions can be implemented in STARDOM Operator Console. - FA-M3: TAS clients and FA-M3 Man Machine Interface can be implemented in client PCs. TAS Control (TAS-CS) TAS-CS provides Exatas control functions. There is a variety of choices the control platm as follow, which are all Yokogawa products easy integration: - CENTUM CS 3000, a distributed control system, is fully redundant to provide high reliability and flexibility and is suitable middle- or large-sized oil and/or LPG import terminals, stockpiling bases, etc., where increased reliability is required. - STARDOM, a network control system, is suitable middle-sized oil terminals or LPG secondary terminals, etc. where relatively less process control is involved and high reliability is required. - FA-M3, a programmable logic controller, is suitable sole truck loading or a simply configured terminal. As standard, TAS-CS is connected to field equipment and subsystems as explained in the following paragraphs. Control inmation required loading/unloading operations is downloaded from TAS-MS to TAS-CS where control functionality is implemented. User interface provides operation displays and control monitoring functions the operator. The user interface screen can be configured to suit the user s preference.

Subsystems Interface Subsystems include a tank gauging system, a MOV controller, a safety system and a card reader. A local Batch controller (PRESET) is also available to communicate with TAS-CS. Subsystems themselves are outside the scope of Exatas, however, they are integrated with Exatas using subsystem communication functions. Devices Interface devices such as flow meters, pumps, valves, thermocouples, pressure gauges, etc. are directly connected to TAS-CS using the appropriate I/O modules. STANDARD SPECIFICATION Exatas has been designed a typical terminal facility as outlined below. It should be noted that enhancements can be implemented if the customer s needs demand additional features.
