BCS Mid-Wales Representative: Fred Long, Chair BCS Mid-Wales During 2012 2013 the Branch: presented a Turing Centenary Event involving four short talks and some short scenes from Catrin Huws play To Kill a Machine ; held three talks; organised two Show and Tell events; ran a pub quiz, jointly with BCSWomen & Aberystwyth University s Department of Computer Science; visited the National Plant Phenomics Centre at Plas Gogerddan near Aberystwyth; sponsored an Android programming family fun day, jointly with Ysgol Bro Ddyfi & BCS Women. On 21 st October 2013 in Aberystwyth, the BCS Mid-Wales is holding its AGM followed by a series of short talks on Happy 100th birthday Maurice Wilkes: an overdue testimonial http://www.youtube.com/user/bcsmidwales
