Trial Account Checklist NetScaler Management and Analytics System service trial account checklist The NetScaler Management and Analytics System (MAS) service trial on Citrix Cloud demonstrates the value of a cloud-based platform. Cloud-based means centralized service management and simplified design and deployment of NetScaler instances no matter where they re deployed. Use this guide to prepare for your MAS service trial. Please note To ensure a successful customer experience, Citrix reserves the right to limit trials to a number of participants at one time. Please use the time you have until your trial is approved to prepare. Upon logging in to Citrix Cloud, you will see a number of tiles. Locate the one called Management and Analytics Service and click on request trial. When you request the MAS service trial, you ll see the button change to Trial Requested on the Citrix Cloud services page. You can see all trials you have requested and their status on the same page. When your MAS service trial is ready, you ll be notified by email, and the button will change from Trial Requested to Manage. Before you receive that email, it s a good idea to start preparing for your trial. Licensing Citrix NetScaler MAS is licensed as a subscription service. As long as you maintain an active subscription, you will have the right to use the service, get service updates, and get unlimited technical support. Subscription licenses for this service are sold in packs of 10 managed VIPs (also called vservers in NetScaler). You also have the option to buy additional data retention in packs of 5 GB for historical reports and analytics. Free trial Free access to the service is available via Citrix Cloud. The trial period is 30 days and includes: 10 managed VIPs 5 GB of data retention All supported features At the end of the free trial period, you will have the option to purchase the service in order to continue having access to it. A set of email notifications alerting you to the end of the trial period will be sent seven days, two days, and one day prior to expiration of the trial. The data collected over the trial account will be maintained for 30 days after the trial has expired, in case you want to upgrade the same account to a licensed version. The following features generate storage data: Gateway Analytics Security Analytics App Analytics Web Analytics (Phase 2) Advanced Analytics (Phase 2) By default, an equal amount of storage will be allocated across all features, so you can see on a dashboard the storage allocation of each feature and how much has been consumed. There is an option to disable consumption of data storage from any of the supported features. MAS service-generated logs, licensing-related alerts, and notifications will not be counted within the storage limit. You will be able to allocate the additional 5 GB pack to any of the features in MB or GB. It will have multilevel storage consumption notification at 50 percent, 70 percent, and 90 percent consumption with information for purchasing more storage in the notification. Citrix.com 1
