Con guring Single Sign-On Chapter 4 Seamless integration between Documentum and SharePoint requires you to configure the single sign-on option (SSO). Documentum Content Services for SharePoint support both Microsoft SSO and Windows SharePoint Services SSO. Through SSO, user credentials are stored in a secure database and applied when a user logs in to request information from Documentum. WSS SSO is the default SSO and is recommended for Documentum Content Services for SharePoint. However, Microsoft SSO is automatically installed as part of the Documentum Content Services for SharePoint installation package. Additionally, Documentum Content Services for SharePoint supports custom SSO options. Deciding on which SSO you want to use is dependent on your environment and requirements. This section is meant to be supplementary to any documentation provided by Microsoft and Documentum regarding the configuration of SSO for MOSS. Con guration overview for administrators For WSS SSO, administrators must reconfigure the web.config files that are packaged with each product in order to complete a successful set up. See the Windows SharePoint Single Sign-On section. When using Microsoft SSO, administrators will need to configure the MOSS server farm. See the Microsoft Single Sign-On section later in this document. Con guration overview for end users The configuration of the SSO method must be communicated to end users. End-users will select the SSO method in the Tool Pane when first configuring a Web Part from the Documentum Content Services for SharePoint suite of Web Parts. EMC Documentum Content Services for SharePoint Version 5.3 SP5 Installation and Administration Guide 37

Con guring Single Sign-On Also, end users must know their Documentum credentials (username, password, Documentum domain) as they will be prompted for this information when first accessing a Web Part from the Documentum Content Services for SharePoint suite of Web Parts. Once entered, Documentum credentials are stored in the SSO database and the user will not be prompted to enter their credentials again. If user credentials change in Documentum (for example, the username or password changes), the user will be prompted to update their stored credentials. Windows SharePoint Services Single Sign-On By default, the WSS SSO is installed as part of the installation package for Documentum Content Services for SharePoint and is the recommended SSO option. You will need to configure the Documentum Content Services for SharePoint Web Parts accordingly. Administrator configuration to the system for WSS SSO is done by modifying the web.config files for Documentum Content Services for SharePoint and you will need to enable WSS SSO on the top-level web application. End-users need to configure the Documentum Content Services for SharePoint by accessing the Tool Pane and modifying the SSO settings. Modifying con guration les for WSS SSO You will need to make appropriate changes to the configuration files for Documentum Content Services for SharePoint in order to specify WSS SSO. Con guring the web.con g le The location for the Documentum Content Services for SharePoint web.config configuration file is: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\template\layouts\1033\dctm\webpartpages The <sssomanagers> node within this file is set to a default setting that specifies both SSO options are available in the Single Sign-on Option drop-down list of the Tool Pane in Documentum Content Services for SharePoint. <ssomanagers> <ssomanager id="0" title="wss Single Sign-on" class="wsscredentialmanager" assembly="dctm.wsscredentialmanager,version=3.0.1506.0300, publickeytoken=e4ec877ed211dbd8,culture=neutral" /> <!-- Id="0" is reserved for this item --> <ssomanager id="1" title="ms Single Sign-on" class="ssocredentialmanager" 38 EMC Documentum Content Services for SharePoint Version 5.3 SP5 Installation and Administration Guide

Your assembly number may differ. Specifying SSO in a Web Part During the configuration of Documentum Content Services for SharePoint you will need to select the WSS single sign-on option from the Single Sign-on Option drop-down list in the Tool pane. See figure 17 for an example of the Single Sign-on Option drop down list. Figure 17. Single Sign-on Option drop down list Enabling SSO login at the top level site The following steps must be performed by a user once for each document library. 1. Logon to the top-level site. 2. Open a page containing an enabled Documentum Content Services for SharePoint Web Part (for example, Documentum Favorites). Documentum Content Services- Web Part To configure Documentum credentials: 1. An error message will be displayed when you first access the page with an enabled Web Part. 2. Refresh the page and a message will be displayed to configure credentials for single sign-on appears. The prompt to configure Documentum credentials link is displayed as in figure 18. By clicking the link you will be prompted to enter your Documentum credentials, including username, password, and domain name. See figure 19 for a sample of the fields required. Figure 19. Documentum credentials 4. Enter the Documentum credentials and click OK. You will be returned to the Web Part page. Microsoft Single Sign-On The NT identity of the end-user is used as a key for the Microsoft SSO database, allowing for the seamless and automatic retrieval of the username and password needed for access to Documentum. To configure the Microsoft SSO service in your MOSS server farm, see the instructions on enabling Microsoft SSO for MOSS can be found on the Microsoft TechNet site. 40 EMC Documentum Content Services for SharePoint Version 5.3 SP5 Installation and Administration Guide

Con guring Single Sign-On Con guring Microsoft SSO Once you have enabled Microsoft SSO to MOSS, the next step is to configure the encryption key settings. To configure the encryption key settings: 1. Click Start> All Programs> Microsoft Office Server> SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration. 2. Click Manage settings for single sign-on. 3. Click Manage encryption key. 4. Create an encryption key. 5. Select the check box re-encrypt all credentials by using the new encryption key. 6. Click OK. 7. Perform an iisreset. Microsoft SSO application de nitions for Documentum Content Services You will need to create SSO application definitions for each Documentum repository that Documentum Content Services will display using the following settings: Note: Replace the variable DOCBASENAME with the actual Documentum repository name. This value is case sensitive. Table 1. SSO application de nitions Setting Display name Application name Contact e-mail address: Account Type: Field 1 Field 2 Value Documentum repository DOCBASENAME VorsiteSSOApp_DOCBASENAME (Your e-mail address) Individual Display Name: Documentum User Name (Mask: No) Display Name: Documentum Password (Mask: Yes) EMC Documentum Content Services for SharePoint Version 5.3 SP5 Installation and Administration Guide 41

Chapter 5 Verifying the Installation In order to verify that the installation of the current version was successful, check the following: Check the version number in Add/Remove Programs. The version number should read 5.35.2212. Go to GAC (C:\Windows\Assembly) and check the DCTM.*.dll version number which should reflect the newer build number. Go to any SharePoint site (set up previously using the old version) containing a Content Services Web Part. You should be able to access the Content Server without having to reconfigure anything. If still in doubt, check to see if you have a "Send To" option in the item-level drop down menu from a file in a Web Part. This is a new feature for 5.3 SP5. Testing the installation You may wish to test the newly installed version of Documentum Content Services for SharePoint after the initial installation and configuration are complete. The easiest way to do this is to attempt to add different Documentum Content Services for SharePoint Web Parts to a site within SharePoint. Keep in mind that when adding Web Parts to a site you are taking on the role of an end-user and what you see and the problems or conveniences that you face will also be apparent to the end-user. Some information that you will need before adding Web Parts to a site: Single sign-on credentials for Documentum (username, password, domain) SSO type Web service server and port number Documentum repository For more information, see the Documentum Content Services for SharePoint User Guide. Specifically, you will need to: Examine the Tool pane to validate settings from the installation. Chapter 6 Con guring Connectable Web Parts The Documentum Folders and Documentum Search Web Parts are connectable consumer Web Parts. These consumer Web Parts require no additional set up or configuration when adding them to a site from the Web Parts Gallery. However, any provider Web Part will require additional steps in order for it to function properly. If no information is passed to the consumer Web Part from the provider, the default connection to Documentum is displayed. Con guring provider Web Parts Provider Web Parts can be any Web Part configured to provide information to other Web Parts. The MOSS Form Web Part is recommended to provide data to consumer Web Parts. Con guring consumer Web Parts Connectable consumer Web Parts need to be configured to accept information from the provider Web Part. To configure connectable consumer web parts: 1. Add the consumer Web Part from the Web Part Gallery. 2. Click the Site Actions menu and select Edit Page. See figure 20 for a sample of the Edit Page option. Con guring Connectable Web Parts Figure 20. Edit Page option 3. Click the Edit drop-down menu in the provider Web Part and select Connections> Connect to. 4. Select the appropriate consumer Web Part. 5. Click OK. Documentum Folders When configuring the connection between the provider and the consumer Documentum Folders Web Part, the target path of the consumer will be overwritten by the path retrieved from the provider. For example, the consumer Web Part Documentum Folders is initially configured to display the cabinet \documentum1. It is then connected to a provider Web Part that sends the path \documentum1\folder1, the initial path of \documentum1 will be overwritten and Documentum Folders will only display \documentum1\folder1 and subfolders by default. To view the \documentum1 level, you must remove the connection from the provider Web Part Documentum Search Documentum Search works differently than the Documentum Folders Web Part. You will still be able to perform search in Documentum Search independently from the provider Web Part even when connected. For customers who wish to specify search for either dm_folder# or document#, they can pass an extra parameter in the search field: dm_folder# -- searches for folders document# -- searches for documents 46 EMC Documentum Content Services for SharePoint Version 5.3 SP5 Installation and Administration Guide

Con guring Connectable Web Parts Document search is the default search and will return document results without adding document# to the search criteria. Note: The pound symbol (#) is the delimiter.
