REU Imaging in the Physical Sciences Application Status: Applications for 2014-15 are now being accepted. Download this form and complete it following the instructions below. Dates: Applications due February 11 th, 2015, candidates will begin to be informed by March 11 th 2015. The Program: The Imaging in the Physical Sciences Research Program is a 10- week research experience from June 7 to August 14, 2015, including a research project in a specific lab, housing on the RIT campus (if required), research development experiences (paper writing, giving presentations, etc.) and the opportunity to travel to a national conference to present research results. All participants will have the opportunity to interact with the whole research community of the Center for Imaging Science. Can I still be selected for this program? This program can only support students that are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Do my recommenders have extra time to get their letters to you after the deadline? What about transcripts from my school? Yes to both. It is essential that your applications is completed by February 11th, but we will continue following up for additional materials that we require beyond that date. How do my recommenders get their letters to you? You can EITHER 1) attach PDF letters from your recommenders to this form before you submit it to us, or 2) ask them to email their PDF letter to ritreu@cis.rit.edu BEFORE February 21, 2015. You will be informed via email when your application is complete. Do I have to obtain an official transcript? Official transcripts are preferred, but an unofficial transcript printed from your schools online system will also be accepted, but we may ask for further verification. Please ask that they be submitted in PDF format where
possible. My school will only mail out official transcripts, what should I do? You will indicate on the application how your additional materials (transcript, letters, resume, and essay) are being submitted. They may be submitted by email to ritreu@cis.rit.edu, appended to this PDF form as additional PDF pages, or (if necessary) mailed in. See the instructions below.
