Remote Access Instructions Citrix XenApp 7.8 is the mostly widely-used solution to provide remote access to users while working out of the office. This latest version is more secure and optimized for a better user experience. We ve made great improvements to make logging in and out faster, and provide a more consistent desktop similar to your office computer. If you have not used Citrix previously on your computer, you will need to install the Citrix Receiver. That information is included further in these instructions. 1. First, connect to the Internet and open your browser window. 2. Enter the URL Address in the address field and press Enter. The URL Address for the Remote Access Citrix is: remote.gpmlaw.com You can save this address in your Internet Favorites to eliminate retyping each time that you access Citrix. After you ve reached the website, simply click Favorites, Add to Favorites. You ll then be able to reach the website by clicking on the link. 3. The following is GPM s Remote Web Site page:
4. Click on the link for Citrix RSA Two-Factor Login and the login screen will appear. For security, this web page will time out after 15 minutes of inactivity, but your Citrix session will remain active while you re actively working. 5. To log in, enter the following information: Username Password Token Code = Network username (as you log in at the office) = Network password (as you log in at the office) = 6-digit code from the RSA SecurID App Once you ve successfully logged into Citrix, you will see an Applications box with the GPM Remote Desktop icon displayed. Click the GPM Remote Desktop icon to launch your Citrix Session. When you are finished with your session, don t forget to log off.
Citrix Receiver Tips 1. To update your Citrix Receiver client on a PC or Mac, go to www.citrix.com. Look for Downloads and select Receiver. The Citrix website will automatically recognize the type of computer you re using and will provide you with the right version of the new Receiver. 2. To update your Citrix Receiver client on an ios or Android device, visit the App Store for your device. 3. You will need to add this new account into Citrix Receiver. You can use your GPM email address, or gpnet.gpmlaw.com, then fill-in your Username, Password, Domain=gpmlaw.com, and 6-Digit Token Code. Once you ve got the newest version of Citrix Receiver and connected to Citrix, you ll see a new Toolbar at the top, middle of your session window. It looks similar to this: Click on the down arrow in the center to show the Toolbar. When you re finished, click the up arrow to hide the Toolbar again. Settings and Preferences Tips: Home Minimizes your Citrix session and brings you back to your computer screen. Use this when you want to access something on your local computer, outside of Citrix. Ctrl+Alt+Del Sends the keystrokes to the Citrix session to get to Task Manager, or Change Password option. Preferences Allows adjustments for File Access (access to files on local computer), Connections (make local webcams, microphones, scanners available within Citrix), Display (adjustments to size & quality), and Flash settings (when viewing Flash via Internet browsers). Full-screen Make your Citrix window full-screen and maximize to fit monitor(s) you are working on. Disconnect Disconnect without logging out of your Citrix session. Keyboard Displays a mini-keyboard on the screen for entering information. Shortcuts Quick ways to do some common tasks (currently not being used). The Toolbar can also be shifted to the right or left by click on the arrow and sliding either way.
Adding the Citrix Receiver
You may get warnings messages based on your computer. Follow the instructions on the page if necessary. They may ask to permit or allow Citrix Active-X Controls or Add-ons to be enabled. Please check the box that says Allow all times this is necessary for Citrix to work properly. The first time you use Citrix, you may get a similar prompt: Check the box Do not ask me again for this site and Click Permit Use. This allows Citrix access to your computer during use.
