Cleaning Dirt can be removed from the case only by wiping it with a soft cloth moistened with a soft detergent solution. Mounting Surface The mounting surface material must be strong enough to support the camera.
TROUBLESHOOTING Before sending the camera out for repair, check the items below. If the problem persists after checking these items, contact your service center. If no image appears Is the coaxial cable attached securely? Are the power and voltage normal? Has the iris of the lens inside the camera been adjusted correctly (with the level volume)? Is there adequate illumination? If the image is unclear Is the lens in focus? Is the lens dirty? Dirt or fingerprints on the lens can adversely affect the images. Gently wipe any dirt or fingerprints off the lens with a soft cloth or lens cleaning paper and cleaning fluid (commercially available). Is the monitor adjusted correctly?

CAMERA SETTINGS VC-600W, VC-600WS
DIP Switch Functions (1) Compensating for backlight ON When backlight is too bright OFF Normal setting CAUTION : It will be correctly set by adjusting level volume 5. (2) Confirming the iris setting ME(ON) When DC autoiris lens installed AE(OFF) When fixed iris lens is installed (3) White balance setting ATW(ON) Use this under light source below 2500K and over 9500K of Natrium (Sodium) low color temperature light AWB(OFF) Use this under light source between 2500K and 9500K of fluorescent lamp or incandescent light (4) Setting gain control (AGC) For adjusting the sensitivity of the camera. Use this setting for shooting in dark environments. ON Normal setting OFF Set this when there is excessive noise Second Video OUT Connector (Option) If installer is setting with portable monitor, this connector is used. Be sure to terminate the last video device at 75 ohms. IR LED Connector (Option) If extra IR LED board is attached, this connector is used.
Setting Monitor Synchronization (24 VAC adaptor users) The camera offers V-phase adjustment over 360. Vertical sync disturbance may occur when a switcher is used to switch between multiple cameras connected to one monitor. To prevent vertical sync disturbance, adjust. CAUTION: When using the 12 VDC adaptor, sync setting is set to internal sync. Adjusting Level Volume If the entire image is too dark or bright, or the bakclight compensation is not correct even after is set to "ON", you need to adjust the level volume. CCW (LOW) Closes the lens iris, making the entire image darker CW (HIGH) Opens the lens iris, making the entire image brighter DC Varifocal Connector This should be used with DC IRIS LENS. Power connector Connect with AC/DC power, board attached inside. *Before making any adjustment, confirm that the cameras are connected to the power supply with the same polarity. To make an adjustment: While observing the video outputs from the cameras on an oscilloscope, press the first camera's V-phase pushbutton. Until vertical sync from all cameras are in phase. If the first camera's adjustment phase is insufficient, adjust the second camera's V-phase contol in the oppposite direction until they are in phase.

1 Use the supplied hexagon wrench to remove the four fixing screws (B) securing the dome cover (A). 2 Make screw holes and a cable hole in the supplied gasket (D) that attaches to the back of the camera unit (C). 3 Attach the gasket (D) to the back of the camera unit (C). 4 Align the camera unit with the mounting surface; mark where the screw holes are to be drilled and then drill the four holes. 5 Cut a hole (diameter: 2.9 in. / 73mm) in the ceiling for routing the cables. 6 Pass the power cable (E) and video cable (F) from the camera unit through the cable hole in the ceiling. If mounting to a surface other than the ceiling, the cable can be routed through the hole in the side of the unit. 7 Align the four screw holes in the camera unit (C) with the screw holes in the installation surface, and then secure the camera in place by tightening the four or more screws (G). 8 Carry out the settings and adjustments for the camera. 9 If the dome liner (H) is secured in place, loosen the screw (I). Adjust the dome liner (H) so that the dome camera's lens is visible from the camera window. 10 Use a philips screwdriver to secure the dome cover (A) by tightening the screws (B). 11 When mounting outdoors on a wall, caulk the entire perimeter of the camera unit base with a uniform bead of silicon RTV adhesive or equivalent sealing compound. Note: The VC-600W/VC-610W series can be mounted in a pendant (suspended) configuration from a wall mount, a ceiling mount or from a 1/2- inch NPT pipe with the use of the VC-600W-PLATE adapter plate
