Dimensions : inch (mm) PRECAUTIONS Do not open or modify Do not open the case except during maintenance and installation, as it may be dangerous and cause damages. Do not put objects inside the unit Make sure that no metal objects or flammable substances get inside the camera. It could cause fire, short-circuits or damages. Be careful when handling the unit To prevent damage, do not drop the camera or subject it to strong shock or vibration. Install away from electric or magnetic fields Protect from humidity and dust Protect from high temperature Be careful when installing close to the ceiling, in a kitchen or boiler room, as the temperature may rise to high levels. Cleaning Dirt can be removed from the case only by wiping it with a soft cloth moistened with a soft detergent solution. Mounting Surface The mounting surface material must be strong enough to support the camera.
TROUBLESHOOTING Before sending the camera out for repair, check the items below. If the problem persists after checking these items, contact your service center. If no image appears Is the coaxial cable attached securely? Are the power and voltage normal? Has the iris of the lens inside the camera been adjusted correctly (with the level volume)? Is there adequate illumination? If the image is unclear Is the lens in focus? Is the lens dirty? Dirt or fingerprints on the lens can adversely affect the images. Gently wipe any dirt or fingerprints off the lens with a soft cloth or lens cleaning paper and cleaning fluid (commercially available). Is the monitor adjusted correctly? WARNING: TO PREVENT THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT EXPOSE THIS APPLIANCE TO RAIN OR MOISTURE. LENS ADJUSTMENT TILT - 60 Zoom Focus PAN - 360 Set Screw (2x) ROLL 1. Adjust the panning(360 ) and tilt(60 ) position. 2. Set the zoom position by using Zoom Lever Screw. 3. Set the focus by using Focus Lever Screw. 4. Loosen set screws to adjust roll (turns camera position top/bottom).

Be sure to terminate the last video device at 75 ohms. 3 IR LED Connector (Option) If extra IR LED board is attached, this connector is used.
4 Setting Monitor Synchronization (24 VAC adaptor users) The camera offers V-phase adjustment over 360. Vertical sync disturbance may occur when a switcher is used to switch between multiple cameras connected to one monitor. To prevent vertical sync disturbance, adjust 4*. CAUTION: When using the 12 VDC adaptor, sync setting is set to internal sync. 5 Adjusting Level Volume If the entire image is too dark or bright, or the bakclight compensation is not correct even after 1 is set to "ON", you need to adjust the level volume. CCW (LOWCloses the lens iris, making the entire image darker CW (HIGH)Opens the lens iris, making the entire image brighter 6 DC Varifocal Connector This should be used with 5 DC IRIS LENS. 7 Power connector Connect with AC/DC power, board attached inside. *Before making any adjustment, confirm that the cameras are connected to the power supply with the same polarity. To make an adjustment: While observing the video outputs from the cameras on an oscilloscope, press the first camera's V-phase pushbutton. Until vertical sync from all cameras are in phase. If the first camera's adjustment phase is insufficient, adjust the second camera's V-phase contol in the oppposite direction until they are in phase. The VC-600 and VC-610 can be either mounted to a surface (like a ceiling or wall) or installed into the ceiling, with or without an electrical box. 1 Use the philips screwdriver to remove the screw (C). 2 Separate upper case (A) from bottom case (D). 3 For surface mount installations, align the extension ring (G) with the mounting surface; mark the mounting screw holes and then drill the four holes. For in-ceiling installations not mounting to a 4x4 electrical box, mark the holes in the camera assembly (D) and then drill the holes. For in-ceiling installations, (G) is not used. 4 For in-ceiling installations, cut a hole (diameter: 2.9in./73mm) in the ceiling for outing the cables. 5 Route the power cable(s) and video cable(s) to the installation location. 6 Align the four screw holes in the extension ring (G) with the screw holes in the ceiling, and then secure by tightening four screws (F). Secure the camera assembly (D) in place with screws (F) supplied with the unit. For in-ceiling installations, align the holes in (D) with the holes drilled in the ceiling and secure the camera assembly with the hardware provided. If installing to an electrical box, secure (D) with the screws provided. 7 Pass the power cable (I) and video cable (H) from the camera unit through the cable hole in the ceiling. 8 Carry out the settings and adjustments to the camera. 9 Adjust the dome liner (E) so that the dome camera's lens is visible from the camera window and then use a philips screwdriver to attach the dome cover. 10 Connect upper case (A) and bottom case (D). 11 Tighten the screw (C). INSTALLATION WITH ADAPTER PLATE 1. Install Adapter Plate to existing electrical box in ceiling using 2 8-32 screws. 2. Remove the extension ring from the housing. It is not needed for this installation. 3. Perform steps 2 and 5-11 from above procedure.
