1.1 Outline Outline When the operator tries to output the CNC data like parameter or program, and the file of the specified name already exists on the memory card, the operator can select whether the file is overwritten or not by the operation. This function becomes available by setting of parameter COW(11308#1). Please refer to USER'S MANUAL (B-63944E) for detail of the operation of outputting. 2/ 7

1.2 Explanation Display on screen When the outputting of CNC data to the memory card is executed, the confirmation message of "OVERWRITE?" is displayed when the specified file name or the default file name accords to the file name in the memory card. 1.3 Operation Procedure The procedure to output data is as follows on the screen of each function. 1. Press soft key [PUNCH]. 2. Press soft key [EXEC]. When the file of same name doesn't exist in the memory card, it is output at this time. 3. When the file of same name exists in the memory card, soft key [REWRITE] and [CAN] are displayed. To overwrite the file, press soft key [REWRITE]. To cancel the output, press soft key [CAN]. Ex.) Outputting on parameter screen(in case of 7.2/8.4/10.4 display unit) 1. Press function key <SYSTEM>. 2. Press chapter selection soft key [PARAM]. 3. Press the EDIT switch on the machine operator s panel or enter emergency stop state. 4. Press soft key [(OPRT)]. 5. Press soft key [+] in case of 7.2 / 8.4 display unit. 6. Press soft key [PUNCH]. Display of the soft key is changed from Fig 1.3(a) to Fig1.3(b). 7. Press soft key [EXEC]. Outputting is executed by the default file name CNC-PARA.TXT because the file name is not specified. Display of the soft key is changed from Fig 1.3(b) to Fig1.3(c) and the confirmation message is displayed when the file of same name exists in the memory card. When the file of same name doesn't exist in the memory card, it is output at this time. 8. To overwrite the file, press soft key [REWRITE]. To cancel the output, press soft key [CAN]. If you want to change the file name and then output, please specify the file name after operating 6 and then operate 7. Press the EDIT switch on the machine operator s panel or enter emergency stop state. 4. Press horizontal soft key [PUNCH]. Display of the horizontal soft key is changed from Fig 1.3(d) to Fig1.3(e). 5. Press horizontal soft key [EXEC]. Outputting is executed by the default file name CNC-PARA.TXT because the file name is not specified. Display of the horizontal soft key is changed from Fig 1.3(e) to Fig1.3(f) and the confirmation message is displayed when the file of same name exists in the memory card. When the file of same name doesn't exist in the memory card, it is output at this time. 6. To overwrite the file, press soft key [REWRITE]. To cancel the output, press soft key [CAN]. If you want to change the file name and then output, please specify the file name after operating 4 and then operate 5.
