WELCOME In order to avoid any problems with setup, configuration and first start of Quantower application, we ve prepared this short manual. It covers four main aspects: Application setup Control center and it s functionality Connection settings Panels launch & Favorites bar Smart search
QUANTOWER SETUP Before the first launch of Quantower app, please check your PC to meet the minimum technical requirements: Windows 7, 8.1, 10.NET Framework 4.6.1+ Available disk space 1GB After checking that your computer meets the requirements - you are ready to install the Quantower. 1. Download the Quantower and launch Setup.exe file 2. Select the folder to extract application files and follow the further instructions 3. Once an extraction process being finished you should start the Quantower app using the shortcut on your Desktop
«CONTROL CENTER» TOOLBAR Just after the launch, you will see the Control center toolbar that allows you to operate the whole application and its global settings. It can be logically separated into several sections: Panels (Sidebar, Smart search & Favorites) Workspace (Trading lock & Workspaces list) Connections (Synchro-connect monitoring & settings) Globals (Notifications center, General settings & Timezone) You can see the Control center components placement on the image below: Quantower Start button. Click here to access panels sidebar Favorite panels for quick launch Workspace center that contains all your saved workspaces Notifications center Time of selected timezone Search field for quick access to panels and symbols Lock trading List of favorite connections General settings
CONFIGURE YOUR CONNECTIONS While the first start, the application will connect to Emulator, allowing you to test the platform s functionality on generated Demo data. If you want, you can connect to any available broker solely or simultaneously with Emulator. To do this, just click on one of the favorite connections Connection status indicator in Control center and you will see the Connections screen. For example, you can select OANDA (Real or Demo), enter your login and API key and press connect. Some functionalities of Connections screen can be seen on the images below: Click on the star icon to show connection on Control center toolbar What is an emulator? Emulator is a Quantower s plugin for trading simulation. It generates the trading quotes and allows to send various order types. Usualy it is used for testing, when trader wants to try the application s functionality but don t want to login to any real account. Please note! Emulator can cause the system performance reduction on low-end PCs. Better to disconnect from it if not going to use further.
PANELS LAUNCH & FAVORITES BAR All available panels are situated in Panels sidebar, that can be accessed by pressing an application logo on the left corner of the Control center. Panels are arranged in categories to simplify the search of particular one. You can add any of them to your Favorites and thus, make available for instant launch from Control center. See the Panels sidebar functionalities on the image below: Panels category Click on the star to add panel on the toolbar Close the platform
SMART SEARCH. FIND A SYMBOL OR PANEL We believe you will find the Smart search functionality useful while the Quantower operation. Search field is situated on Control center and allows you to find a panel or trading symbol by typing its ticker or name. Once you found a required Symbol, you will be able to instantly launch any relative panel with this symbol predefined. Type a symbol or panel name in the Search field to quickly find them Click on the symbol and select the action you want to perform Clear your search results
